Tuesday night. Bar was busy but few people in the restaurant. The waitress was great. Checked on us periodically but did not rush us. Food was good. We had the Navajo tacos and a cheese and chorizo appetizer with chips. Margarita was okay. All in all a nice and pleasant dinner. We have eaten there a number of times and will certainly go back again.
I had a better experience at this location than the downtown spot! The fry bread here is sooo good and the portion size seems larger. We were staying at the hotel and decided to come back for brunch, which was even better than dinner! I'm pregnant so I couldn't try any cocktails, but I will definitely return after the baby is born to try more items on the menu :)
I like the New Mexican twist. People can hang out at the bar, get a table for 2 or bring a party of 10. It's connected to the hotel but has an entrance to the outside I believe and the patio is nice during warm weather. I like the separation between tables too. You get your own space. And the food is good because I like New Mexican flavors.
I normally LOVE this place. However, 2 waiters on staff for the entire place however it was empty. Food was not as good and the service was not the norm.
Great dinner. Food is excellent and love the radiant heat in the dining room!
Large portions and flavorful foods. Excellent service too.
Food was disgusting. They tried too hard to be fancy. I have no idea how someone could serve this. We tried every salsa, and each got 3 deferent tacos. Meat tasted like house hold cleaner. Didn’t take more than a single bite of anything. Repulsive food. Service was great and so was the ambiance.
The ambiance and decor of the restaurant are the best features of the restaurant. But one word to describe the food: GREASY. The tacos, the queso, the Brussels sprouts, all dripping in grease. Portions were decent. Fry bread was tasty. Food was fairly priced.
The food and service was wonderful but the noise level was absolutely unreal. We had to shout at each other over the noise. It was a shame. I believe there was a party and unfortunately there was only a partial partition blocking them from main dining.
I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant for dinner if you’d like to have a conversation.
Our server was put off when we asked for lettuce and tomato with our poblano. We also had 2 steaks added to our tab, but it was rectified
Food was fantastic but our waiter was horrible. He actually got mad that we asked for more water, he never refilled our glasses, and slammed a carafe of water on our table. Once our food was served he never came to check on us.
FANTASTIC FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH/BREAKFAST!
When every breakfast place in Westminster is full, and the waiting lines are around the block on a Sunday... you can walk right into the Kachina Grill and get a wonderful gourmet breakfast with excellent service and no wait! I did on Black Friday weekend!
With the foresight of a reservation the Sunday morning breakfast experience is serene.
The coffee bar is wonderful, the southwest breakfasts are all good, and the traditional breakfast quality exceeds any of the short order restaurants with longer waits in the area!
Service was great our waiter was very attentive checked in to make sure everything was good. Will definitely go back.
This is our third Thanksgiving at Kachina. It was delicious as always though the appetizer empanadas were spicy and odd tasting and the quail was unusual but fine. Everything else was fabulous! Unlike years passed we felt so rushed, it seemed like waitstaff were removing plates as we were taking final bites off of them. Prices were also increased from years passed but it's worth it.
Freddy, our server was fabulous as always!
There to celebrate our anniversary. Food was not great. Service was excellent.
I've always loved Kachina. That said it seems they've changed the recipe for the carnitas tacos and for the casa greens. Still good but not as outstanding as I remembered them. Coin margarita was delicious. The service was very attentive and the servers and greeter really hustled.
It was gorgeous inside but the food was very mediocre. Very limited menu and took forever for our server when there was no one in the place. I was disappointed to say the least.
Server was amazing and the food was fantastic. Staff was very helpful.
Love returning here! Great enchiladas, Navajo tacos and many other food items. Loved the bartender last night!
Service was ok, food not flavorful or good
This was our first time here and we felt the food was mediocre and expensive for what we got. Honestly, it was just an “alright” experience and we probably won’t be back.
Five girlfriend's had brunch and had the best service by Nick. Excellent food too!
The menu has changed, and not for the better. There is a smaller selection. Prices are relatively high.
Beautiful decor but since it was open to the outside it was a bit chilly.
Rashida was our waiter and she was so attentive and helpful. The food was delicious.
Freddy was a great server! Amazing Navajo tacos and coin margaritas.
This restaurant, although located in a hotel, is a delightful place with a warm southwestern décor. The food is also remarkably good, again, for a hotel location.
Always enjoyable. Food and service are always too notch.
menu keeps getting smaller but the good stuff is still on there like the tacos and Brussel sprouts
Between the pandemic and the opening of their second location Kachina has reduced its menu. They removed many of my favorite items - things that made this restaurant different and interesting. The food is still good but the restaurant is no longer on my list of top places in Westminster.
We return here often because Kachina Southwestern Grill has it all; wonderful atmosphere, kind servers and host, excellent food, excellent cocktails (Prickly Pixie). After dinner, we sat out on the patio and watched the sunset and then walked around the ponds to check out the Promenade area.
I'm wondering why reservations are needed? Not really busy for a Saturday night. Not much on the menu, not really tasty either. Sodas are not on drink menu?
Great tacos and margaritas! A favorite date night restaurant.
Their specialty tacos are really good. The brussels sprouts are fantastic. Really good bar cocktails of course for tequila Mezcal cocktails good atmosphere
Food was very bad, drinks were ok, and the service was just odd
Everything was good. Server was funny and friendly. Food is always good (chips needed salt). Had a great evening! Tjanks
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, Guest! Thank you for choosing Kachina Southwestern Grill and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Kachina is a favorite restaurant of ours- came this morning for husbands birthday with son and family. Like the atmosphere and food, drinks and service generally quite good. 2 comments from today- sat at a table that had not been wiped down - was cleaned at our request. Food was unique and good as always - but temperature warm - not hot. All said - we will be back.
Great service, food, drinks and atmosphere! We will be back!
Best margaritas ever!
