Outstanding experience. Fabulous food only outdone by service. Our daughter is a vegetarian and they customized her menu. In a city with wonderful restaurants this is one of the “musts” for a memorable evening.
Best restaurant in NYC
Always a delightful experience. Not one bad bite, which is why we continue return. Dessert is fun, playful and quite good. The octopus is almost always a highlight among the other wonderful courses.
The food was to die for. Service was smart, friendly, and so accommodating. Beautiful restaurant - rich browns, comfortable seating and perfect mood lighting. Excellent playlist and perfect volume. I would have appreciated more time between courses, though.
Very unique spot and not inexpensive.
Its typical tasting menu restaurant, need to have regular menu for customer to comeback
Sweeeeeet! Absolutely wonderful. Loved it.
We have been going to Jungsik for years. It is our #1 restaurant in NYC for a special occasion. It is also great with friends as the food is familiar and a discovery at the same time. It is always delicious and creative, and the staff is attentive and helpful. We try to go there as often as possible.
Third visit to Jungsik —The food remains inimitable and divine. The full tasting menu has a wonderful progression from start to finish. The standout dishes remain the signature octopus dish, the Korean beef broth with foie gras filled dumplings and the wagyu beef. Exceptional. Transcendent dining. The flavors are thoughtful. Nuanced. Brilliant. And then dessert. The “bread with cheese” is a playful surprise. And the baby banana dish even more so. This is a must-visit restaurant.
One of my all time favorite spot in New York
good good good
The most amazing restaurant you can ever be
Awesome experience! They even made customized menu for our anniversary. We had the tasting menu. Octopus was my favorite! The dumplings were my husband’s favorite. Highly recommended for celebrating anniversary or special occasions!
My first time in the Korean rest in NYC exceeded my expectations! The menu is balanced with excellent flavors.
As usual, attention to detail was exceptional and the staff courteous and pleasant.
Just go. It’s amazing. Get the tasting menu. Savor it.
Playful dining experience. Food was amazing. Highly recommended. Great service too!
everything is perfect
Innovative fusion cuisine presented beautifully
I have absolutely no words. They made our anniversary celebration such an unforgettable experience. It is pricey, but worth every penny.
We always find the experience terrific. Oscar is consistently amazing. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and always a joy to have our dining experience with. Jackie and the entire staff are also fabulous. As stated before, always a wonderful time.
I really enjoyed my experience here. They started with a wonderful presentation of their amuse bouche. Then we continued with their seasonal menu they adjusted at our request to add an additional course, octopus, which was cooked perfectly. They also adjusted the desert course allowing us to try 3 different but equally delicious deserts. All around it was a great experience. They also had great mocktails for non-drinkers.
Fabulous meal and service.
Great dining experience with a party of 7 which started off as a party of 4 but the team at Jungsik were the most accommodating possible. The food was both beautiful and tasted fantastic... the galbi was phenomenal and the “banana” dessert was exquisite
I took my husband here for his 35th birthday, and we were not disappointed! This lovely, sleek gem of a restaurant delighted us in pretty much every way. We both ordered the signature tasting menu, with the supplement, which I highly recommend! Each dish was more amazing than the last, and by the time it was over, we each felt like we had just had one of the best meals of our lives. My husband got the wine pairings, while I opted just to order by the glass-- but either way, the pairings/recommendations were on point, and enhanced each round. It's certainly expensive, but it's very much worth it. Also--special shout out to every single server, but especially our main one, Oscar, who was, in a word, sparkling! He was friendly, knowledgeable, charming, and made our night extra special. We'll definitely be going back!
Excellent food and service. Definitely worthy of two stars from Michelin.
Excellent, as always! Favorites are uni, octopus and tuna. Bourbon cocktail is wonderful. Not wowed by the duck. Really wish you had more choice with respect to courses. Oscar is the best!
Expensive, but very refined and unique. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!
One of my best experiences in NY !!!
Food was remarkable, Service was as good as it gets. Oliver was our waiter and was one of the best in the world. Wine pairings were on point and the pace of the tasting was excellent.
Highlights were The Octopus and the Wagyu.
Basically good, better than per se. but a little bit noisy
Fantastic food. Wonderful staff, very friendly and attentive. Best meal of my life.
Amazing! Worth all the Michelin stars it has. However, don't expect traditional Korean food, the food is a little westernized. Their signature kimbab is the best!!
pretty good food！
It was an amazing experience. Both the food and services were absolutely great. Love it!
Jungsik is even better than the last time we dined there just over a year ago. The creativity, flavors and synergy are exceptional. The service is flawless without being obtrusive and the wine list is extensive and well curated.
Everybody was satisfied. Both the food and service are excellent.
Jungsik’s high-quality products are well presented and cooked to perfection. The service is both unobtrusive and efficient. Prices run fairly high but, given the chef’s exceptional talents and dedication to culinary excellence, they seem totally justifed. I am happy to write that Jungsik is one of the rare restaurants where I have returned and which I have found just as good and pleasurable as on the first occasion (this was four years ago...).
Perfect restaurant! Mix Asian food ( 90% similar Korean food) and European manners and serving style. Feels amazing. I will be there again next time when I'm in New York.
First of all it’s not a Korean restaurant. It isn’t even really “Korean-influenced”. Second, if it cost about a quarter of what they charge, it would be good and certainly interesting. But at those prices - and with the expectations that 2 Michelin stars bring - its a giant waste of time and money.
