   We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Joshua Wilton house today and had a wonderful experience. We were first seated on the front porch and quickly found out that the sun was pretty bright so they graciously moved us to the patio for our dining. The food was beautiful, delicious, and filling. The service was outstanding- frequent and kind. We will return!

   My wife and I were celebrating our 1st anniversary and they made it so special. They gave us a toast to start and then wrote happy anniversary on our dessert. These little things made everything else just that much better. We love Joshua Wilton House.

   Our waitress Tammy was out of this world when it comes to service, nothing bad to say about the food either. Best restaurant in Harrisonburg without a doubt. The bartender, Ryan, was informative and professional. Can’t wait to come back!

   The food and the service was exceptional. Great atmosphere. The play was a perfect medium, and the scallops were delicious. Topped off with two phenomenal desserts the crème brûlée and the Elderflower and Cava Gelee.

   Party of 6, 5:30 reservation on a Sunday night. Food was generally quite good; celeriac under the scallops was both underseasoned and overcooked, but that was the only total miss. (Scallops should have been served on the risotto, to my mind). Risotto and charcuterie board were very small portions. Drinks were excellent—an interesting variety of alcoholic and non, well-prepared and beautifully presented. Service was less polished than the prices demand, to my mind, but personable.

   The Joshua Wilton House is simply the best and classiest dining place in Harrisonburg. The stately Victorian era house is beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated. The food is excellent and creatively presented. The wait staff are all discreet, attentive, and friendly without ‘hovering’. Dining at the JWH is always a memorable experience. The duck breast is a favorite, the mussels and scallops, too. Joshua Wilton is THE place to celebrate special occasions. We love it!

   Our server, Steph, made our night so special! She was kind, attentive, and engaging, making us feel truly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere at the Joshua Wilton House was warm and inviting, perfect for a memorable dining experience. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented and full of flavor, clearly crafted with care. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in a charming setting!
