Perfect spot for a special occasion! My husband and I went for a wedding anniversary and had the best time. Peaceful atmosphere with wonderful service and delicious food. We will be back!!
Great atmosphere and food with excellent service. Can't go wrong.
The staff and food never disappoints at Joseph Decuis. It's always a wonderful experience and we always feel like special guests.
Disappointing compared to pre-Covid. The menu was very limited, especially the entrees ( one shrimp and four beef). Wines by the glass - very few and no Chardonnay. It is a beautiful restaurant and once one of the best in IN, no longer. Hope it returns soon the it’s former self.
Fabulous evening from start to finish. Beautiful artwork. Delicious seasonal cocktails. A menu where everything sounds delicious. Then, the food is even better than expected. It was just the break we needed. The added touch of hand-picking your own steak knife was over the top! Thank you.
Our experience was good but probably won’t make the 3 1/2 hr drive again.
We order prime steaks when we go out so we thought when we had Wagyu steaks for the 1st time they would taste amazing but they were good but not worth $100 for a 5 oz steak. We thought the filet was a little better than a prime cut but have better ribeyes. We still enjoyed our night and the service was excellent!!!
Short ribs main course was excellent, meat board was excellent, smoked trout pate was good, pork main course was good, drinks at the bar were good,
carrot main dish was fair to poor, blueberry desert was very poor. Overall service was good. A 300-350 dollar tab for 2 people is acceptable, but I would prefer to have all excellent ratings for that price point. Overall good restaurant, but just a fair rating for the price point.
Excellent waitress. Kitchen got our order messed up and it was our first visit but they apologized and compensated us well due to it. ( It happens we all know). I do prefer ice and lemon in my drink but evidently that isn’t the way they serve it! Food fantastic but pricey,
Wonderful experience in every way, food, service, ambiance.
Very comfortable atmosphere.
A special place.
Took some colleagues there for a business dinner. Arrived a little early for our reservation but were seated right away. The charcuterie board as well morel mushrooms were excellent appetizers. The Wagyu was delicious and the service was top notch.
I had very high expectations for Joseph Decius. The restaurant is very expensive. I expected that. What I didn’t expect was the lack of flexibility. You get what you get.
The waitress was unavailable. She said she had a bigger table and no time for ours. Our drinks were never refilled. She never offered dessert. Very poor service for the price. The restaurant could use a little bit of an upgrade on the interior. It looked old.
The Emporium on the other hand was very good. It was a long drive so we spent the night at 2 of their properties which we did enjoy. Only the main restaurant is lacking
My suggestion is stay at the B and B, go to the emporium and forget the main restaurant.
It was a very enjoyable experience and it rivals any restaurant that we experience in California.
Really outstanding service and exceptional quality food! Loved the entire experience.
Great food. I just hate when fine dining employees are made to be “robots”. We’re all normal people. Joke with me. Make me feel normal. I want to forget that I’m spending $300+ on a dinner.
Excellent as always. I can't thank the staff enough for how well they take care of us.
Our dinner was very disappointing for price. We were unable to give complaints to our waitress as she only checked on us immediately after food arriving. A young girl quickly swept our plates away, and we did tell her our one steak was too tough to eat. We hoped she would have passed the message on to our server. We were unsure how to complain once our food was gone. Very disappointing for $300.
Phenomenal experience, with the highest of quality fine dining.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Service staff was super helpful and attentive. The place did nothing short of Wow us.
The charcuterie board was delicious. The potatoes must have been fried in an oil that had also fried seafood. I don't like seafood. That taste ruined the potatoes.
We were seated across from the bar and the three women sitting there and the bartender were speaking so loud that we heard them better than ourselves.
The place is very pretentious. We were not overly comfortable there.
We had a wonderful time! I consider it one of the better restaurants around. The care given, and the food, was outstanding.
This is fine dining at its best. I rated value only as good because it's not a place you go to for value, it's an experience. Everything was excellent.
We had a wonderful time. An excellent place for a special occasion.
Valentines Brunch was perfection!!
The wait staff was quite attentive and helpful. The wagyu beef was to say the least exquisite. The entire experience was wonderful. I wanted to give my wife an experience she would remember. Mission accomplished.
Food and service was great. Only complaint is the tiny amount of steak we got for $95 a plate. We both agreed that it wasn’t quite enough and we wanted more. Very delicious.
The delicious and superbly tender Wagyu fillet was the highlight of the meal. The cheese toast, butternut squash soup, and chicken agnolotti were also quite good.
The waygu beef is fantastic and the overall experience is wonderful. This place is truly a gem! In between appetizers and entrees, the owner provided us with a 5 minute overview of a painting in the dining room. From the four first-timers in our group, I am still receiving gratitude for the invite and commentary on how much they enjoyed their experience. We will definitely be returning!
Fantastic experience. The atmosphere, food, service and presentation was spot on. We will be back!
Everything at Joseph Decuis is beyond excellent. Service is outstanding, food was phenomenal and the ambiance is delightful. We had Wagyu ribeye and filet, both cooked perfectly. The challah and Wagyu carpaccio were out choice starters, and we were not disappointed. I also highly recommend the signature martini, Creole kiss. Nice touch they they printed "Happy Anniversary!" on our menus, which we took as keepsakes. Great choice for an intimate dinner for two!
Just moved to Roanoke and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back!
Unfortunately, they didn’t listen to my need for gluten free. I specifically told them and the server repeated that the sauce on top of the Wagyu steak would be left off & yet when they brought it the sauce with gluten was on it. I am thankful I caught this before digging in. The server offered a free desert in exchange for the issue given I had to wait another 15 minutes for my new steak. Free desert was a nice gesture, however I ordered the Lemon Gelato & the food runner brought me Raspberry I believe. I asked for the lemon, and the server apologized stating the mixed my order with someone else’s & was brought my original order but if was completely melted. It was not the experience I expected from such a high end restaurant.
Excellent as usual. Was a fixed menu for Valentine’s Day weekend, but excellent choice and variety. Food was great, superb service as usual.
Nick was a fantastic server! Went above and beyond with me! Very friends staff. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was so beautiful. They did an amazing job!!
Valentines Day 4 course special was fabulous. Service was also excellent. Enjoyed my dining experience very much.
A perfect Valentine’s Day surprise! You are met with a fragrant and sparkling rose. The set five course meal provided new flavor combinations that were enjoyed by everyone around us. We were in conversations as regards the food with couples on both sides. We all agreed it was perfect. I am excited for the next visit!
It has been a couple years since our last visit and unfortunately did not live up to our expectations. Our table was not ready at the time of our reservation. While waiting at the bar for our table, service was very slow and unenthusiastic. The two cuts of Wagyu that my wife and I had were not on par with previous experiences. Also several items offered turned out to no longer be available after we had selected them.
Excellent service, beautiful setting, wonderful food and drinks. It was our second time having dinner here, and we’ll definitely be back, even though it’s 1.5 hours from where we live! We celebrated my sister’s birthday and everything felt ver special, but also relaxed - a perfect combination!
We went there for the first time for my wife's birthday. I've wanted to try it for a few years. I went on OpenTable to see what was open for reservations and it popped up. The only thing I was worried about is that it said "Not kid friendly" but I think if you have older ones it was fine. The meal was perfect and the staff was perfect. I cannot think of a reason not to go back. I really want to try it during the summer when the weather is nice and we can take in downtown area a little more. It looked great. If you are really wanting to treat someone to an elegant meal, I definitely recommend!
Very disappointed in the food for $110. I understand a prefixed menu, but the portion size and quality for $100+? Not worth it in the slightest. This is supposed to be a fancy restaurant, but why are they playing rap music about strippers? I’ve been here many times and each time it seems to get worse, but Years was the biggest step down.
