The maitre d’ was pleasant and accommodating. Our 2 waitstaff were personable and attentive. The staff worked together to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. Our meals, from salad to dessert, were delicious! It was difficult to have a quiet conversation at our table due to a patron at an adjacent table with an extremely loud voice.

The staff was lovely and inviting. My date ordered a filet oscar style and the crab was over cooked and the bernaise sauce was horrbile. I do not think I would come back here.

The food was bland and not well seasoned by everyone in the dinner party. The steaks were under seasoned and the baked potatoes had little flavor. I would not go back and instead will frequent other lower priced restaurants.

The steaks were cooked perfectly and our server I believe her name was Julie, was amazing! Accommodated my strange requests since I am keto. Definitely loved the music that was playing! Definitely will be going back!

We were visiting from Chicago. So glad we happened upon this gem. The wedge salads were plentiful and fresh. My wife had the crab legs. Very sweet. I had the 10oz. filet. The best part were the hash browns. Best we’ve ever had, and we’ve had many. We will be back the next time we come to town

We walked here from the Hilton Monomo Lake, 2 minute walk. Great cocktails, great soups. I had the Dover sole, fileted at tableside. My partner had filet with mushrooms. Both were delicious. The staff was attentive and efficient. Even the manager stopped by the table to check on us. It was a very enjoyable dinner.

Had an amazing dinner Julie I believe was the name of our server she was the best got me mocktails and told us all the secret sweet spots of the city . We never went without water we never had an empty plate stay on the table for more then 15 seconds

Just returned from a trip to a major U.S. (worldwide) tourist destination and a week of being overcharged for substandard meals. Delmonico's was not just a fully enjoyable dining experience, it was a relief. Fine food, friendly, well-timed service.

The scenery was amazing, as well as the atmosphere. Initially our steaks weren’t cooked medium rare. The manager quickly came by and had new steaks served up to us 10 minutes later. Great experience

We had the best service from Kerry who has been there for years! Our steaks were to die for, melt in your mouth. We each got the 6 oz tenderloin with sauce. Mine was the truffle butter which came on the steak. Very good!! My husband got the bernaise sauce which was on the side. Also, very very good!! I got the shaved brussels sprouts. They were pretty good. Hubby got the hashbrowns. The sides were so large we took home leftovers. We were suggested to try a cherry tito's cocktail. That was also a nice change. We enjoyed a free brownie dessert since it was a birthday celebration. Love this place!

So disappointing. The steaks (which is why we go to JD's) were all over-cooked. By the time we were served two of us decided not to send our back as we were hungry, one did send their's back and it was then cooked as ordered. I specifically told the server make sure they cook mine rare but to no end. Yes the appetizers were good, yes the service was fine but the fact they are a steakhouse and they can not cook rare, medium rare and medium as ordered is disappointing to say the least.

Had dinner with friends. The evening was fabulous. The host, general manager and wait staff were top notch. Our meals, were phenomena, exquisitely plated, and delicious. Johnny’s is Madison’s best steakhouse.

The service was great, however I ordered a NY Strip and the cut of meat was below standard and very rough. It didn't even look like a strip steak. I go to many steak houses and restaurants it's one of the worst steaks I've ever had for the price point. The appetizers weee great but the main course was very disappointing. I will not be going back.

My wife and I had a date night in Madison starting off at Johnny Delmonico’s. While parking in the area around the capital is usually challenging, we were fortunate to find something close by. The restaurant is modern and classy inside. Lots of rich wood and white linens. We skipped apps as our server advised that portions are sizable and we were attending a show so we didn’t want to be over full. Drinks were very good and there were specialty options on the menu with a portion of proceeds going to charity. My wife had the Butternut Gnocchi and I had a Tenderloin ala Oscar. The gnocchi was tender, rich and delicious. The restaurant offered a half order which was a nice option and enough for my wife. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked with a nice crust and topped with delicious crab and bernaise sauce. We finished dinner with coffee, espresso, and a tasty lemon raspberry panna cotta from the special menu. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Highly recommended and we will return next time we’re in the area!

We had a fabulous dinner last night! Our wait Person Julie was delightful and helpful. Every item of food was scrumptious - the bread and butter, the Wedge salad, the hash browns, the steak (done rare to perfection, which is often hard to do!), the brussel sprouts, the mashed potatoes, the ice cream, and the cheesecake.
