Joe's Cafe Ratings and Reviews
We went Joe’s for my birthday breakfast and it should be something very American. We ordered Joe’s omelette and banana pancakes, to drink coffee, cappuccino and fresh squeezed orange juice. They’ve too much of potion for us but we loved it very much. By the way the omelette tasted really like my mom’s homemade. ❤️
Not sure how this restaurant gets the ratings it does. I eat out A LOT. The service was less than average and the food was diner quality. Specifically, I had the raviolis in meat sauce and it was just "ok." The cornbread was dry and wasn't delivered with the advertised "butter/honey" that was on the menu. The server was nice, but his english wasn't great and he was handling too many tables to be of good service. If you're going to advertise that you're the oldest restaurant in town and deserve my business, please provide some ambiance or food to validate that claim.
Great food - incredible service, almost too fast! I have a friend from Santa Barbara named Joe so i thought we would dine at Joe's. My friend Joe now lives in Charleston, SC where I live and I'm only telling you this because Open Table said I did not write enough on this review. :)
We've lived here for almost 4 years and have been wanting to try Joe's....and finally got there with some friends the other night. It is like a step back in time! Wooden high-wall booths and waiters in tuxedo jackets. They have a fairly extensive menu and we all tried something different and compared notes. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. And, the drinks! Oh my! Their bartenders knows how to pour!
One of the few old mainstays on State Street, which is now mostly taken over by chains, Joe's Cafe is comfortable, with a somewhat vintage vibe, very spacious and yet cozy. A broad American menu offers many favorites and all meals are artfully presented. Service was extra friendly and efficient. A great place to relax, and appreciate an upscale but old-fashioned meal and experience.
