Great food, even better service on top of the spectacular view over looking the river. The atmosphere was perfect for celebrating our anniversary. Thank you so much for making us feel special.
Joe Muir’s is outstanding in every way! The food is superb, the ambiance lovely and the service exquisite!
Great service & great food
Service slow and unprofessional. Food cold and mediocre
Best "old fashioned" cocktail ever. The food was very good, I had walleye and also tasted the scallop entree. The coconut cake, served too cold - the piece I took home was much better the next day served after it had warmed to room temperature. The Key lime pie was outstanding.
We had an amazing time celebrating our Girls Christmas get together!!!
Excellent evening made very special by our waiter Keith. His hospitality made an otherwise special evening a wow experience one which we will both always remember. Food was fabulous as always tried the crab claws as good as Joe’s of Miami Beach. Can’t wait to return!!
Food was excellent and the food comes in big portions!
A great place to celebrate a special event. Food was amazing
We had a wonderful time at restaurant. Great craft cocktails and creative seafood dishes. This restaurant has always been a favorite spot for dinner with friends.
Everything was great, just a bit overpriced for my budget. I will go back after I win lots of money
The service was impeccable! Daniel was absolutely outstanding. The food however was just ok.... the Branzino was bland as was the Mac and cheese. The lamb chops were very good but not exactly why I come to a seafood restaurant. The lobster from South Africa wasn’t worth the price. I love good service but at this price point better food would’ve been nice.
As always, exceptional service and Dining experience. From top to bottom, excellent! Thank you
I have been going to Joe Muer's for 50+ years. I love the place. Our experience was still great but not perfect. Had the branzino which i thought was a little soft/mushy, tasted very good. Started with king crab chilled which was fine but the sauce provided was thick and sour cream like, didn't seem like the right sauce for crab. Server was just ok, pace was too fast for us so we did not order our entrees to slow it down. will of course go back but i have been accustomed to better experiences.
I'd like to thank our server Jessica especially. She helped make the evening which was a birthday dinner with my husband very special. Thank you all.
The seafood was excellent, the service perfect. The vegan food was crummy!
Due to holiday season there have been some celebrations, which have created a noise atmosphere. The ambience on the riverside is fantastic.
Our favorite restaurant in Detroit. My wife and I try to make the 200 mile trip at least twice a year just to eat there. Old school linen tablecloth elegance. Service is always great. Food is perfectly prepared. Good selection on the menu. Best seafood restaurant in Michigan if not the entire Midwest. I can’t wait to go back. Our server, Jessica, was delightful and had many helpful suggestions.
The view from the restaurant is beautiful. The food and service is excellent. It was expensive, but my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves.
Willy the waiter was amazing!
Excellent as it always is. A little loud, but that was only because there was a large party by us. The food, service and view made it all ok!
I took out of town guests here, both for the food and the view. Neither disappoint. I am very happy this restaurant was resurrected, as there is no better seafood in town!
We were in Detroit for an evening. We were Not disappointed! Our Waiter was Very Nice and Attentive! My Husband Had the Lamb Chops They Were Amazing! I had the white fish and Our Waiter Suggested To add the House Specialty of Stewed Tomatoes! Wow That was Absolutely the right Idea! Delicious!
We will return on our next visit! Also A Beautiful View of the moon over the Bridge Just lovely!
Great food and service. Very open to modifying the menu.
I felt the salad appetizer wasn’t fresh as it could of been. Lettuce was slightly brown and didn’t look that good. Everything else was great.
Overall it was very good dinner however the grouper (daily special) was too oily and salty. For $49 dish, I would expect much better. i am not sure of the grilled selections but the souce in general was too oily for my taste. Maybe it should be served on the side or added on the table since not everyone likes too much souce and definitely no one needs that much salt.
Again the food tasted pretty good in general (bread, soup, desert) but I think our expectations were too high based on reviews we read and we were slightly disappointed. Maybe our selections were the exceptions to the rest of the menu.
On the other hand, the great service and thoughtful desert presentation (with writing of our anniversary) were the highlights of our special evening.
Exceptional meal and wine. Great service. Pricy, but worth it.
Even if you're full from the delicious seafood, get the coconut cake to go. You will not regret it.
The experience was fantastic. However at the end our waiter seemed to get busy and left us sitting for a while. Other than that everything was well worth the money.
Our dining EXPERIENCE was Superb! This was the most flavorful meal I have ever had. The environment was very relaxing as was our Waitress. Dawn was calm with positive energy. Very knowledgeable about the menu and items. She answered all our questions when ordering. Everything came to our table with excellent timing. We in no way felt we were rushed to enjoy nor leave when our dinner was complete. This was truly an experience I will NEVER forget. Thank You.
Keith was a great waiter! Food was amazing! Great ambience!
Very nice and prices weren’t crazy unless you wanted them to be, everything went very smoothly and staff wasn’t at all different to us even though we are young, definitely tipped way over 20% and felt very welcomed even though we didn’t necessarily dress the part
Not our usual haunt, but it was our first wedding anniversary so we wanted to celebrate a bit. Excellent service and the food was superb. The piano player even learned "won't you be my neighbor" on the fly after I requested it for my wife. I highly recommend the stuffed flounder with creamed spinach or the monk fish for your main course. We also had some raw oysters and the lobster corn dogs (deep fried lobster on a stick). Sounds odd, but it was awesome! We had the apple explosion for dessert (because it was the smallest dessert they had) and they customized it for our anniversary (see photo). Again... excellent. Thank you to our server Keith F. for a memorable evening.
Joe Muers doesn't dissapoint. The food is excellent. The lunch choices could be a little expanded, but overall a gret place to take a client.
A bit too loud. We were right beside the piano and really had a hard time hearing our server.
This restaurant is one of my favorite places to dine. The food, the service and the ambiance is exceptional. I highly recommend this place. Ask for Alyssa!
Service was good but food is highly overrated. We were seated for iur reservation late for what seemed to be no reason. There were many available seats and no explanation. I cant see myself returning. Lots of dining options. Literally no vegetarian options. They obviously knowo the restaurant business but they arw out of touch with current trends.
Great service—6 ladies/split plates/separate checks—could have been disaster but our waiter was outstanding. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Requested Medium filet mignon, and my steak came out rare/purple.
Took 10 minutes to cook the same piece of meat and waiter seemed annoyed to do so.
Would not go back
Food and waitress were great, but busboy mixed up take home bags of leftovers that went to three different homes, resulting in much wasted money and food.
Miguel —- awesome! Joe —- fantastic. We felt doted upon! Everything done with class. Food —- second-to-none!
