Excellent as it always is. A little loud, but that was only because there was a large party by us. The food, service and view made it all ok!
We were in Detroit for an evening. We were Not disappointed! Our Waiter was Very Nice and Attentive! My Husband Had the Lamb Chops They Were Amazing! I had the white fish and Our Waiter Suggested To add the House Specialty of Stewed Tomatoes! Wow That was Absolutely the right Idea! Delicious!
We will return on our next visit! Also A Beautiful View of the moon over the Bridge Just lovely!
Great food and service. Very open to modifying the menu.
I felt the salad appetizer wasn’t fresh as it could of been. Lettuce was slightly brown and didn’t look that good. Everything else was great.
Overall it was very good dinner however the grouper (daily special) was too oily and salty. For $49 dish, I would expect much better. i am not sure of the grilled selections but the souce in general was too oily for my taste. Maybe it should be served on the side or added on the table since not everyone likes too much souce and definitely no one needs that much salt.
Again the food tasted pretty good in general (bread, soup, desert) but I think our expectations were too high based on reviews we read and we were slightly disappointed. Maybe our selections were the exceptions to the rest of the menu.
On the other hand, the great service and thoughtful desert presentation (with writing of our anniversary) were the highlights of our special evening.
Exceptional meal and wine. Great service. Pricy, but worth it.
Even if you're full from the delicious seafood, get the coconut cake to go. You will not regret it.
The experience was fantastic. However at the end our waiter seemed to get busy and left us sitting for a while. Other than that everything was well worth the money.
Our dining EXPERIENCE was Superb! This was the most flavorful meal I have ever had. The environment was very relaxing as was our Waitress. Dawn was calm with positive energy. Very knowledgeable about the menu and items. She answered all our questions when ordering. Everything came to our table with excellent timing. We in no way felt we were rushed to enjoy nor leave when our dinner was complete. This was truly an experience I will NEVER forget. Thank You.
Keith was a great waiter! Food was amazing! Great ambience!
Very nice and prices weren’t crazy unless you wanted them to be, everything went very smoothly and staff wasn’t at all different to us even though we are young, definitely tipped way over 20% and felt very welcomed even though we didn’t necessarily dress the part
Not our usual haunt, but it was our first wedding anniversary so we wanted to celebrate a bit. Excellent service and the food was superb. The piano player even learned "won't you be my neighbor" on the fly after I requested it for my wife. I highly recommend the stuffed flounder with creamed spinach or the monk fish for your main course. We also had some raw oysters and the lobster corn dogs (deep fried lobster on a stick). Sounds odd, but it was awesome! We had the apple explosion for dessert (because it was the smallest dessert they had) and they customized it for our anniversary (see photo). Again... excellent. Thank you to our server Keith F. for a memorable evening.
Joe Muers doesn't dissapoint. The food is excellent. The lunch choices could be a little expanded, but overall a gret place to take a client.
A bit too loud. We were right beside the piano and really had a hard time hearing our server.
This restaurant is one of my favorite places to dine. The food, the service and the ambiance is exceptional. I highly recommend this place. Ask for Alyssa!
Service was good but food is highly overrated. We were seated for iur reservation late for what seemed to be no reason. There were many available seats and no explanation. I cant see myself returning. Lots of dining options. Literally no vegetarian options. They obviously knowo the restaurant business but they arw out of touch with current trends.
Great service—6 ladies/split plates/separate checks—could have been disaster but our waiter was outstanding. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Requested Medium filet mignon, and my steak came out rare/purple.
Took 10 minutes to cook the same piece of meat and waiter seemed annoyed to do so.
Would not go back
Food and waitress were great, but busboy mixed up take home bags of leftovers that went to three different homes, resulting in much wasted money and food.
Miguel —- awesome! Joe —- fantastic. We felt doted upon! Everything done with class. Food —- second-to-none!
Unbelievable great dinner and experience. We will be back!
Our server Katrina was outstanding . The monk fish was excellent
We sat at the bar, piano player sang and played tunes to our delight. Tishana our server was awesome. Very accommodating and attentive!
After telling the waitress that we do not eat meat, hence ordering seafood for all of our entrees. There was a sausage in one of our meals, one of the meats that is restricted In our diet. The manager came over and said was I heard you didn’t like your meal. Like he had no idea what happened, vaguely saying sorry and walked away. Will not be returning here.
Lobster bisque is ALWAYS delicious and it was again last night. The scallops are my new favorite! FYI - you get 5 and they are huge!!! IF you go crazy with all the fantastic appetizer options, you could share the scallops.
Great for all events both personal and business. Great environment and wonderful food!
The food was delicious tho pricey. Funny the amuse bouche was bread and dip. Very patient and accommodating wait staff when I changed my mind on my order. We had a lovely evening
Great enjoyable experience for a special occasion. A little too expensive for frequent dining.
Evening was great Katrina was very attractive and pleasant. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and our experience was very memorable
The view was beautiful but the noise level was so high we could barely have a conversation. We ordered calamari and it was mediocre at best. The croutons in the Caesar salad were like plain chunks of bread. The tomatoes in the wedge were awful. The filet mignon was very good but the fish was alittle dry..
Our server Keith was very attentive
Birthday celebration with 4 adults. Food was excellent except both my husband and my plates tasted like they had been under warmer for awhile. For these prices, I expect food straight from the kitchen. Waiter was Joe and he was 5 stars.
it was my girlfriends birthday. we had reservations at 9. we got there 10 minutes early. we didn't get seated till 920. than we finally get seated. we didn't get drinks or any bread to the table for 30 minutes. than we finally order and get our food. my girlfriends food comes but they forgot my food. so my girlfriend didn't want to eat alone so she waited. 20 minutes passed by and they finally got my entrée in . by that time all our sides were cold and so was my girlfriends food. Thanks Joe muers for ruining her birthday dinner
Outstanding. Made our sons graduation memorable. Food is second to none as is the service. Best restaurant in Detroit.
Was a fabulous experience
Said was fantastic!!!
We loved everything about our dining experience. Can’t wait to go back!
The food and service were top notch. However, this was a special occasion that was not treated as such. We had booked our reservation over a month in advance and had requested a window seat. This request wasn’t honored and we were given a very small table far from the window. We understand that everyone wants a seat with a view. However, it is something that should be honored when requested well in advance for something special. Thanks, Joe Muer, for making us feel like everyone else on our special day.
So nice, good view of river, delicious menu, friendly professional service, great wine list, including reserve listing.
My first experience at Joe Muer was for my partners birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The placement of our table was perfect. We did not feel crowded nor were we close to any other dinner parties. Also, the view of the river and the Canada skyline with the occasional ship floating by was like a fairytale. The server was both knowledgeable and hospitable and took care of everyone in the party as if he knew them personally. That added so much more quality to the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in the downtown area looking for a quality mea and service.
Just an outstanding experience from start to finish. Katrina was our server and she was exceptional. Thank you for all your great service. Food was exceptional with a beautiful view of the city of Windsor. Highly recommend Joe Muer to all that go to Detroit.
