Jillian's Ratings and Reviews
We are from Tulsa but visit the Palm Desert / Indian Wells several times a year. We NEVER miss a date night at Jillian’s each time we are in town. Everything from top to bottom is excellent but we especially love the crab tower, the Spicy corn chowder, the pork chop and the top two desserts of all time are the decadent date and the apple dumpling. Wine list is phenomenal and the service is top notch. I couldn’t decide which soup to get so they brought me the other as a sample after at no charge. My pork chop was a little undercooked and I had to sent it back. They quickly made it right and took my dresser off the bill. If you are in the area and don’t go here you are really missing out!!!!
Always love Jillian’s! Was a little taken back that they had relaxed their dress code for men but I guess you need to do what needs to happen to keep up with a new clientele and economy. Our server Ramon was, as always, the best. And Jorge had our car waiting before we exited the building
we have dined at Jullians for years. this was our first visit 2017. although in the past would have rated it 5 stars for every thing, but this year we both had the crab tower and white fish
we have been enjoying all those years. we both commented something was off. neither entree tasted the same.......was not as good.....new cook in the kitchen???.....cutting back somewhere???....do not know. my husbands favorite decadent date desert also did not seem to be as tasty and for the first time I had what was described as flaky pastry apple dumpling. however, there was nothing flaky......it was so hard could not cut thru it with a fork/knife......quite surprised and the rest was not very good, so after a few bites was not interested. i hope whatever might have changed will just be temporary and the dishes we have enjoyed for a decade will return. the place itself is wonderful in many ways.
Waiters were very attentive and even changed my napkin to a black one since I was wearing black pants. Food portions were large. Food was very good. The room we were in had a bit of a funky smell which was a turn off. They gave us a complimentary dish of small cookies, dates and such which was a nice touch.
This was a great dining choice for my wife's birthday. I asked for a romantic table and got one in a corner - apparently Gerald Ford used to sit there. The food was excellent, but not on par with the best of French restaurants - but the best I found in the desert. Service was also very good and not presumptuous. Great wine selection.
As always each entree was delicious and well prepared. We had the veal special (very tender), halibut special ( substituted for their normal white fish which they could not get) and lamb. All were perfection. Service as always was spot on and not intrusive. Love the place!
Lobster salad was good, Swordfish was good, filet was great,
Salmon that was recommened over the Swordfish was not good.
Initial taste was fine but white topping became COLD and RUINED
THE SALMON. I REQUESTED OUR SERVER TO PROVIDE MY
FEEDBACK TO THE CHEF, BUT I received NO assurance that
Anything would change.
It was their last night before closing. Service was a little slow, but food was good. Wanted a pork chop that everyone raves about, but they didn't have.
It was my wife's 70th and they had a card for her on the table wishing her a happy birthday. When it came time for dessert, I ordered The Hawaiian cheese cake. However they brought nothing special for my wife. They did bring a plate with figs, dates and chocolate covered strawberries, but they brought that out to every table.
If I knew it was their last night, we would have not come.
Beautiful atmosphere with terrific service, however the food was just ok.
It may be the highest rated restaurant in the valley, but not worth the price.
My wife had the filet which was cooked right but with little taste. I had the pork chop which was also cooked correctly but was bland.
Great service and atmosphere is just not enough, if the food is just acceptable.
If you want first class treatment and A class service come to Jillian's .We go to other places but continue to to come to Jillian's. The veal chop is plump and tender. Tim get's the Bolonese(spelling) regularly. We take a deep breath and enjoy the mood of the place! If you have not been to Jillian's come with your long pants on......
Everything from ambience, service, food, cocktails was outstanding! & fabulous! We will definitely be back soon. It was worth the drive from Palm Springs. Absolutely lovely restaurant!
Our only disappointment of the evening was discovering they close for 5 months! 5 MONTHS!!! May 27-Oct 27. That's sad for all of us who live in the desert year round ! It's way too long to close!
