Jean Georges Steakhouse - ARIA
Great place to eat.
i always love the restaurant collection of jean georges first tried it in shanghai, i fell in love with it. Living in vegas for 3 years now i always try all the restaurant at the strip. So since its a special occasion i booked at jean george steakhouse at aria. The restaurant looks cool, its not too bright and not to noisy everything is in moderation. the Food we started with the complementary bread from japan as the waiter says, it was good. the we had the appertizer the cocktail shrimp which has 2 sauces btw, the red one and the white one. So i tried both sauces the red one wins my taste, the white sauce arghhh cant describe the taste but taste awful. The bacon wrapped shrimp taste great too. Then we had our main which is the steak. We had the porter house which is magnificent and the bone in ribeye which is exceptional. It has 4 sauces and all i can say it was perfect! i think it’s better than cut testaurant at the palazzo. Then the lobster it’s pretty decent size its perfect too.... from taste to how it was cook it really makes me to want more. The dessert OH it was fabulous we had the 24k gold cake while i was having it the mango or passion fruit what ever the yellow fruity thing there it was incredible. i cant stop myself on eating it. ALL IN ALL 1 out of 10 food, ambiance & everything i could give jean george steakhouse a score of 9.3 👏🏻 X gh💋
Nice restaurant food were good.
Overall an inconsistent and disappointing experience, way overpriced for what was delivered. We arrived for our 9:15pm reservation and had to wait for 20 minutes to get our table. We were celebrating a birthday and they failed to recognize it. Asked for a private table and were seated in the middle of the room. Wine list is priced at probably 5x cost and is very pricey while extensive. The steak was very good as was the sea bass. Ordered what sounded like a great carpaccio appetizer but it was coated with bread crumbs-sent it back as we have a gluten allergy, never have encountered breaded carpaccio! Table setting for the prices was casual-no tablecloth or placemats just silverware sitting on a bare wood table. Service was just ok, not very personalized or outstanding. Overall, given the ridiculous prices, expected a much better experience. Not up to chains like Ruth Chris or Capitol Grill-would rather eat there for much better experience at a more reasonable price.
Maybe they should teach their chefs , chard is not a flavor profile on a over priced steak.
Business dinner: Appetizers were delivered before drinks - we were told the bar was busy. When drinks arrived and taking first bite of appetizer was asked if we were ready to order our main course. Server said the kitchen was busy and he didn't us waiting an hour for the food. Upscale restaurant with upscale prices - and McDonald's mentality on service. Too many other amazing steakhouses in Vegas to waste a night here - no worries - they are too busy anyway.
Good but not great and 30-40% overpriced based on comparable restaurants in Vegas
In the top 5 steakhouse I've been in my life and I travel alot.
You won’t be disappoint with this place. The food and service were awesone
Food was great! Pricey but expected.
Food was subpar. Especially the seafood. Steaks were over done. Baked potato was nothing special. If you’re looking for a good steakhouse I suggest you go to the edge in the Westgate hotel that was a phenomenal meal for less money.
Simply amazing in every single way. From the apps to the drinks to the fish and steaks and service, everyone loved their meals. My new favorite restaurant in Vegas. Will definitely be back as much as possible.
Best steak I ever had. The rib eye cap. Very pricey but delicious and impeccable service
Loud environment and poor, slow service. Waited several times during dinner for waiter to return with drinks, food, etc. Our meals were so so. Expected more for a highly rated Las Vegas restaurant.
Quiet ambiance and excellent service. Trying the A5 Wagyu steak was a momentous experience and one that I will never forget. The seating was comfortable for a 2+ hour dinner.
There are much better steak houses in Las Vegas... definitely not worth the money.
Excellent dinner though still not my favorites in Vegas.
We were here for a bachelor and bachelorette dinner. Party of
6. Excellent service. Excellent food. I had the 36oz porterhouse which was cooked perfectly and carved table side. The salmon was popular along with the filet. Drinks were good. Appetizers were good (shrimp cocktail was only ok based on the value).
My party was happy with the meal but in all honesty, there are plenty of steakhouses in Vegas and based on the value of the meal, there are better places. For someone who loves Kobe beef, this is the top of the line. For aged steaks, you can do better in terms of value
One of the best meals ever. Worth it.
Terrible experience! The kitchen closed and nobody told us and when we asked for the main dish at 10:30pm they said the kitchend had closed 2 min ago and they couldn’t ask to open it.
All the dishes are great except my entree - dry New York Strip was overcooked. I asked for medium but it came out as well done. For restaurant like Jean Georges, I expect a higher food quality matching with their price so I was disappointed.
Service was fine until the food came and then no one checked on us until food was cold and done. Issues raised after and they acted like they didn’t care. Very arrogant vibe and poor service.
Very overpriced too for the steak quality.
We choose JG at Aria, overall the whole dining experience was amazing. We had top notch service along with wonderful food. The sea bass was probably one of the beat I have ever had. Would highly recommend when in Vegas giving them a try.
Went for a birthday dinner with my wife. Once we had placed our order and the waiter realized our bill wasn't only going to be about 200$ he ignored us the rest of the night only coming back after we paid the check. My wife got scollops which we good I got and bone in ribeye that I could have cooked better my self at home. I also got a 17$ order of fries that we no better than you could get at a fast food place. By far the worst experience I have ever had at a high end steak house and I will never be returning.
I've eaten here on my last 3 trips to Vegas and I always make a point of ensuring we have a reservation when we are going to be in town. They have an amazing selection of steaks, sides (a great menu all-around) and the service is absolutely outstanding.
I've eaten here for business meetings, for my birthday, and for a date night. It's always special and always worth a return trip.
Mejor carne en Las Vegas
Our server Eddie was really helpful for our first visit to Jean Georges. It's a more simple menu than other Strip restaurants and we liked that. The chef is so good and the ingredients are so special there is no need for 500 items on the menu like other places. We had the foie gras and wagyu carpaccio to start and both were amazing! Exploding with flavor and different tastes. I had the American Wagyu and she had Sea Bass and both were outstanding. Cocktails were perfect and wine pairings were great suggestions from Jacob the Sommelier. I would highly recommend Jean George for a special event or date night.
I mentioned to the waitress that I have food allergies and she proceeds to place the blame on me for not saying something to the hostess before we sat down. She made a point to come over to our table twice to repeat herself. One, I didn’t know to tell the hostess, it’s not something I have ever done unless ask by one and usually the waitstaff ask. Two, she didn’t bother to ask me. I had to tell her. Maybe this is how the restaurant is ran but it’s my accustom to fine dining that the waitstaff ask before the customer orders. It’s unfortunate that she made our experience bad and we won’t be returning.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas! Michelle, Ben and Jason provided exceptional service when a shortfall happened! Very pleased with the professionalism for the situation. Thank you! I will be back soon!
The food and service was fantastic! I recommend the Miso Chilean Sea bass. Friends had the porterhouse for two. Delicious! Don’t forget to ask your server to wrap up the bone for your doggie! Get the tuna tartare for an appetizer and the black truffle mashed potatoes. Desert was a warm chocolate cake. Not the same as his lava cake but also very good. Fantastic evening.
Jean Gorges delivers on the ultimate steakhouse experience. From the moment you sit at the bar to the moment you've closed the portfolio on the signed check, everything about Jean Georges makes you feel like a welcomed VIP guest. At this most recent dinner, I shared the 42-ounce Bone-In Wagyu Tomahawk with the mushrooms and truffle mac and cheese sides. We paired dinner with a bottle of the Clouds Rest 2007 Pinot. The food was absolutely delicious in every way.
The hostesses at the front were very approachable and pleasant, and were eager to seat us as soon as we arrived. That's always a welcome change from the inattentive, too-busy-with-my-nails types that frequent the front podium. Once inside and seated, the wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. Water glasses were never empty for long, and any little need (fresh napkins, more bread, etc.) was resolved -- many times without even needing to ask or be asked.
The interior ambiance is also extremely pleasing. Tables are not too close to each other, lighting is dim but still good for reading the wine list and dinner menus, and the noise level is minimal. Even during a busy evening, you can have a normal conversation with your guests at a nominal volume level without having to yell in order to hear each other.
All three things (food, staff, interior) combine to make a wonderful evening with friends even more amazing. I cannot wait to return for my next experience!
So disappointed in the steaks. My husband had to fight with the steak knife to cut the meat. We've tasted better steaks from Costco. The music was too loud and we didn't enjoy our meal. I gave it 2 stars because the service was very good. I'll never go back though.
We had an international food critic in our party. The restaurant is overhyped, the food and the service is overpriced, was danot good value, did not meet expectations.
Been a while since being here. Greeting, service, atmosphere good. Wine list good. Not enough French.
Great west coast oysters. King crab and F1 Wagyu- not A5 which I have had in Kobe- really worth it. Less fatty but just as flavorful. A keeper. Plus well cooked.
But a French named restaurant and no cheese plate option for final course?! Easy fix. Will return. Steak beats Prime and most others.
I have nothing good to say about this places
We ordered the special, the Wagyu ribeye. We should have went with the fillet. Very fatty and not very tinder. Everything else was great but if your going to spend $400 for a meal you expect a great steak.
