Jean Georges Steakhouse - ARIA
Award-winning chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten challenges the definition of the traditional American steakhouse by adding a strong dose of energy and world-class appeal to an all-American institution. At Jean Georges Steakhouse, classic and simple cooking methods, such as grilling, braising and sous vide, draw out the essence of the world's best meats, while the fragrant nuances of globally inspired spices combine into Vongerichten's signature flair.
" Each dish on my menu must be a perfect combination of well-loved flavors, backed by new, unexpected ones that guests will come to crave." - Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten

For the amount of our bill for two people, I expected stellar service and phenomenal dishes. Not the case. Typical, nothing special steakhouse with inflated Vegas prices. Skip the bone marrow. The four inches of edible marrow on a 2 ft bone was lacking in taste. Highly disappointing. Waiter had to be asked about specials and table was wiped clean and left wet. Though I'm not a high roller, I expected better for my birthday, which they were informed. I do not call spending nearly $500 for a dinner for 2 to be pennies. Would not recommend. Next time, we will go elsewhere.
And asked the waiter to take birthday phone....Two pictures taken, unfocused and chopped. Could he care any less about us?
Lots of choices in Vegas for Steakhouses. We decided to try Jean Georges based on reviews and the fact that we were staying at the Aria. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was overpriced as expected, and some oysters and appetizers. The apps and oysters were both good, but we hadn’t yet finished them when the waiter said our dinners were ready. He said there was a large party that came in and they wanted to make sure we weren’t waiting. WTF, never heard that excuse before. We said it’s ok, we would take the dinners. Maybe we shouldn’t have.
We ordered 3 steaks. A $72,”prime” bone in ribeye, rare. A $82,“dry aged” bone in NY strip, medium rare. And a $62, strip, medium well, also mushrooms, asparagus and mashed potatoes as sides.
The strip was cooked correctly and was OK.
The “dry aged” bone in strip was OK at best. Not very tender and lacking the flavor you would expect from a dry aged steak.
The “prime” ribeye was basically inedible. There was not one piece of meat on the steak that could be cut thru. Either sinew or gristle made it a challenge. The expectation for a prime ribeye cooked rare should be tender and able to cut with a butter knife, not fight they it with a steak knife.
After giving up with maybe a 1/3 of the steak consumed we gave up. We informed the waiter, and they asked if we would like a replacement. At that point with dinner for everyone else basically over we declined.
We ordered 2 desserts and they brought 3, I guess one as compensation for the bad steak.
Totals Bill was $725 without tip. No compensation made for the bad steak.
Sorry, that’s just unacceptable. At those price points I expect he best meat available. Not average and in-edible.
I was staying at Aria and decided to give this spot another try. the service was great, but I would not recommend the tasting menu. really uninspiring dishes and nothing felt worth the cost.
Strange, steak came cut in half. Wrong steak given to my wife and me. Never came to ask how was our meal. After waiting 20 minutes waiter came and asked if anyone asked us if anyone offered dessert. Nope, that was missed too. Overall poor service, lack of detail and this restaurant is not worthy of its prices and its location at the Aria
Had to wait 40 mins to be seated past our reservation time. They over book. It's unacceptable.
Service was poor and the attention to detail was lacking for an upscale restaurant. I ordered a $100 bottle Cab, granted, probably the "cheaper" ones available, the waitress treated it like bottled water, drips all over while pouring as if it was complimentary. Go to Gordon Ramsey steak, better food and much better service
It was a great experience
So-so. I've dined quite a few times at the JG in LA and the Vegas experience is not in the same class. Known for their steaks but the fillet was average - as was everything else apart from the short rib - which great. Ate at Giada the following night and it was way better in every department.
My husband and I have been to some of the best restaurants around the world. Unfortunately I cannot state that Jean Georges Steakhouse made the list. The atmosphere is not that of a high end restaurant by any means and the food, although good, did not justify the prices.
The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. Thank you for a lovely evening. All the best!
Only one thing I would change and that is don’t charge for a refill coke.
The meet was great!!! recommend a place
Steaks was very tough not a soft and good steak only thing that was good there was the scallops don’t think I will be going back there again nice quite place but not worth the $700 spent
I came prepared to tackled the certified A5 3oz. Restaurant ambience is excellent and service was exemplary. However, the A5 was disappointing to say the least. I'm not sure why a Verde sauce was chosen to pair with such a delicate balance of cattle aroma from all the marbling. It is an absolute waste if the diner even as so much as taste the Verde anytime one attempts to enjoy this steak. Japanese A5 wagyu should be buttery to the cut unlike a sirloin or even porterhouse which still adds resistance when cutting with a steak knife. Unfortunately I began to question the origins of the A5 I received. Needless to say, the first time it was brought out to me, I had to send it back to the kitchen to be remade due to the oversalting, completely destroy the meaning of serving A5 wagyu. Thankfully, the executive chef stepped in and served a new piece which was much better in flavor but the texture was still a bit off. I'm sure other items on the menu have their merits but I would not return for the certified A5 wagyu at Jean Georges.
Simply the best in Las Vegas!!! The food and service is 1st class.
Excellent food and service and atmosphere. Highly recommend
Amazing! Staff was attentive without being annoying. Food was delicious and prepared perfectly.
They did not honor my reservation stating that they are booked for the night.
Steaks were good.
Sides were even better.
Superb service and our Wagyu and Sea Bass were exceptional!
Tremendous steak , well prepared. Nice cocktails also
The short rib and sea bass where fantastic
My BF loved his steak. It was cooked just the way he wants it. My sea bass, though, tasted good but was a tad over cooked. Overall, the experience was great.
One of the finest dining experiences of my life. Oysters were perfect. Steak was excellent and properly cooked. Crab legs had to be cut with a knife they were so big and the truffle mashed were on point. Service was top notch and price was not out of line for what you were getting. I will be back !
Always a must when in Vegas! Never disappoints the food is amassing and the atmosphere is great. Would recommend to anyone looking for a high end meal with an quiet atmosphere.
A wonderful business dinner with top notch steaks and great service. Well done!
We ordered three prime filets as the waiter pushed us to get butterfly even though we asked twice not to. He said they would be burnt and dry. The three butterflied that he convinced us to buy ended up being that way. Also we were charged for one extra drink.
Our waiter and waitress were exceptional. Been before and it’s been great but those 2 made it outstanding.
I can’t say enough good things about this fabulous restaurant. From the gorgeous decor, to the innovative and creative menu, to the delicious food from appetizer to dessert, and the impeccable service. Hands down the best lamb chops. Appetizers were scrumptious, as was dessert. This restaurant is a must visit when in Vegas.
You enter into a noisy, modern room filled with people dressed in shorts and flip flops, jeans, sneakers and seated at a table surrounded by tray tables full of dirty dishes.
We ordered Carpaccio, normally paper thin, but this one thick and chewy . A rusty lettuce that was served rusty. An $85.00 Rib Eye that looked like it belonged in an Outback Steakhouse and a 6oz Wagu filet inedibly salty.
We complained about the filet and it was immediately wished away to be replaced. The new steak took long enough, that when it came everyone else was finished.
The management said the appropriate words , but did not seem sincere. No accommodation was made on the.bill.
This restaurant is not a good example of the Jean Georges brand and may be so broken it can not be fixed.
Staff from welcome to departure we’re top notch! Food recommendations were on point!!
Went for a family dinner. Table came all over cooked. When we complained we were offered 20% off and then they made the meal again only to screw it up.
The managers excuses was due to it being a saturday night that it is harder for them to have attention to detail.
With many other steakhouses to select, give this one a miss!
The steaks were amazing. That is really all we had because that is why we went and did not want to fill up on other items. I had the bone-in ribeye and loved everybite. The fat melted in my mouth.
Tried grade A Kobe for the first time, and it was the most tender, juicy steak I have ever had. The wife's sea bass was also very good. The apple pie for dessert was also excellent.
Good food and service would come back to eat. I ate at the bar bartender was excellent.
Thought he quality of the food was great. The foie dish was nice and the Chilean Sea Bass was out of this world delicious. However. Extremely disappointed with the steak prep. It’s a steakhouse and a well-known one at that. We asked for new rare. In fact to err on the rare ++ side. What we got was an overlooked steak at medium. It’s so frustrating at a “high end” “steakhouse.” They should know how to cook steak.
Excellent food and service. I know I’m in Vegas but would rather not rock out to music in a club-light atmosphere while having a social business dinner.
Had a great dinner, our server was excellent! Great steak, best short rib I ever had.
