Jean Georges Steakhouse - ARIA
Award-winning chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten challenges the definition of the traditional American steakhouse by adding a strong dose of energy and world-class appeal to an all-American institution. At Jean Georges Steakhouse, classic and simple cooking methods, such as grilling, braising and sous vide, draw out the essence of the world's best meats, while the fragrant nuances of globally inspired spices combine into Vongerichten's signature flair.
" Each dish on my menu must be a perfect combination of well-loved flavors, backed by new, unexpected ones that guests will come to crave." - Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten
Good food and service, our steaks were bit dry
I can’t really give a review of the food or service because reservations are treated by the restaurant as directional at best. Showed up on time for a 7:30 reservation and at 8:30 still had not moved up the list to be seated with no ability to estimate how much longer the wait would be. Left and found another restaurant.
Took a group of 5 out including customers for a dinner. The food was great, and food service was fine. They were way behind on reservations and we didn’t get seated until 8:40 for a 7:30 reservation. They comped us some appetizers once we were seated. They wound up sitting us at a table of four but squeezed us in for five. That was actually OK.
Good was great. Service was SLOW. Took for every to get food and coffee/bill after dinner.
Would not go back
Overall a great experience and food was cooked perfectly. Service was ok but timely.
It was my husband and I anniversary dinner. The staff was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home. From the explanation of the menu, specials , and wines the server knew everything and was extremely knowledgable in all that was served. The food was extremely delicious and the steak was perfectly cooked. They have meat selections there that are quite unique and of food quality. I am officially a Jean Georges customer.
It was the worst service we have ever had in any restaurant in Vegas!
The manager wouldn’t even come to our table after repeatedly asking throughout our 2 hour dinner
I had to pour my own champagne and get up to get a glass of water in addition to tableware
Absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in any Vegas or any restaurant of this supposedly high quality restaurant!
I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone !
Loved the steaks. Cooked perfectly. However we thought the lobster mashed and spinach was over salted. Would go again if in Vegas.
The rooms was very nice. Nice crowd. Very elegant but the food was not worth the price.
Very pleased with our experience.
It was a bit odd to have someone trying to take your photograph. A bit Disney like.
Everything we had was outstanding and the service was excellent. We highly recommend the Australian beef if they have it on special. Loved all the sauces too but the miso soy butter was the best!
We waited too long in between our salads and dinner. Steaks were mediocre....lacked flavor. We were unfortunately disappointed. We’ve dined in many places and this was not what we expected.
The ambience was spectacular. The food was phenomenal.
Nate, our waiter, was fantastic and the food was incredible.
Beautiful restaurant with outstanding food and steaks, but the music is so loud that it’s difficult to have a normal conversation without repeating yourself. Other than that, you can’t beat this place, and that says a lot when it comes to Las Vegas.
Amazing experience! From the attentiveness of the waiters to the car wheezing deliciousness of the meal. Def return on our next trip.
Great experience with Jean Georges! The service was incredible.
food and service were excellent. extremely loud music ruined the meal and made it impossible to enjoy the 4some. had to scream at each other to hear
We were really excited about this restaurant as the reviews said the food was good and we love a good steak! Upon arrival, my husband was told that he couldn’t wear his baseball cap in the dining area. That was totally okay since a lot of restaurants have that rule. However, when we got to the dining area we immediately saw a man with a hat on. It wasn’t a baseball cap but it was a Kango style hat with a rim. I asked what was different about that gentleman’s hat and a baseball cap? The server answered, “I don’t know I just work here”. The manager later came over (we assumed the server informed him of our question) and told my husband the reason for the rule and gave him the option to wear his hat. My husband declined to wear the hat as he didn’t want to violate any rules but we wanted to know the rationale for some hats and not others. The manager did provide a complimentary dessert for the inconvenience which we appreciated. Thank you to the manager for acknowledging the issue and addressing the inconsistency with the enforcement of the “rule”. The food was okay but not as good as I expected for the price. The 18 oz ribeye was well seasoned but dry. The baked potato was hard but edible with toppings provided. While I wouldn’t visit this restaurant again, the ambiance was calm and I’m inviting
Excellent dining experience to introduce a great friend to
Was this a Jean Georges Restaurant? Surprisingly basic offering and experience ... The menu was underwhelming at best. The table (5:00 seating) was not detailed including a large piece of dried food right next to the knife. The plateware and presentation were fine. The dark plates on the dark tabletop does a good job hiding chips and blemishes on cast irons and dark pottery.
No amuse, no mid course, no mignardies or petit four, just shiny pull apart bread.
Service was good but somewhat robotic. We had to draw out some personality before it got better. In addition to the simplistic and slightly brief menu, (Best fish offered of 3 was Patagonian Toothfish AKA Chilean Sea Bass. Did we go back to 2000?) they were out of A5 but had a domestic replacement of sorts. No one has tried it. That was it for off menu specials. This is arguably the busiest night of the year and they are mailing it in. Nothing to show off, just same old, same ole.
Steaks were no more than 3/4” thick. This was a huge surprise and disappointment to our whole group. I cannot recall a fine dining steakhouse so thin and we had 2, dry aged, bone-in NY (their only dry aged selection, a shame), and a wet aged, bone in ribeye. Without exaggeration, these are half the thickness of a chain steakhouse cut of the same type.
There were so many small areas where corners got cut and other least noticed where all the money went.
Awkward manager visit. Food on par with any other fine dining steakhouse. Nothing special to eat here. Definitely no value in the experience. (4 beverages, 2 first course, 1 salad, 2 steaks, 3 sides, 3 desserts, 3 espressos) plus $18 parking, can’t find any reason to return for this mediocrity. Prime at Bellagio is 20 years old and showcases way more creativity then and now than JG Steakhouse. Even the Palm chain steakhouse has a more exciting offering and it’s from 1926. To sum up, it reminds me of Craftsteak with lesser selection and lower quality ingredients.
We celebrated my moms 50th wedding anniversary (lost dad to cancer last year) with Jean George’s. They went above and beyond helping us celebrate this occasion. Thank you to the entire staff The Who experience was amazing from the minute we walked in the door until we left.
Bar Tender made a great Martini. The sommelier helped us with a great wine. The waiter was very disappointing. He practically rushed our experience. It seemed he just wanted us to eat and leave so he could get another table. I ordered my steak medium rare and my friend ordered the same steak medium well and the reversed our order. Food quality was exceptional.
Wait staff was experienced, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Seana was a doll...she made a few suggestions and was spot-on.
Everything was delicious. We ordered both filet mignon to see how they differed. Both had great taste...the grass-fed was a touch gamy, but with the sauces perfect! The fried brussel sprouts were amazing as were the mashed potatoes and truffles. Chocolate cake and ice cream was very good. But the pineapple-infused Cosmopolitan stoke the show. It's worth the trip just for that drink.
absolutely top notch, knowledgable wait staff, highly recommend
Great splurge meal in Vegas. The staff is incredible attentive and friendly.
Food and cocktails are out of this world. Very rich. This is NOT a diet meal, this is a meal you just close your eyes and enjoy without worrying about calories. We had steak, crab legs, oysters and short ribs. Every bite was better than the last.
Cocktails, are bright, fresh and well made. Definitely get one.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience. There were several issues with my order - first, I received a salad I did not order. Second, I received my meal with a food I requested to be removed because of an allergy. The staff was consistent when replacing drinks or appetizers and clearing the table. Our waitress was a bit pushy and absent most of the night, but other staff made up for it.
Seated us in a dark end table, cold and drafty spot. Waitress was friendly
Very nice ambiance, amazing service, and excellent food
This restaurant purports to be a fine steakhouse. That being said, we are here to tell you it is not. There were some things we liked- the assortment of sauces that came with the steaks, the sautéed spinach, the decor. However, if you're looking for a good steak, look elsewhere. I have had better quality steaks from the local grocery store. Mine (the NY strip) was gristly and tough. Not what you would expect from a MR quality steak. My husband's rare ribeye was only marginally better. The bottles of red start at about $300. Need I say more? We stuck with the wines by the glass ($18), which were very nice, but why couldn't we get one of these by the bottle? We will not be back.
Really great place. Filet was amazing. My colleague is vegan and he was raving about the salmon and the mushroom side dish
Darren is the best bartender! He is so attentive and just an all around nice guy! We sit at the bar rather than a table so he can take care of us.
First class venue
Food was great and so was the service.
Server was excellent - great service, incredible food. I have been here a few times and the steaks have been incredible each time. I have had a tableside cut 44oz Tomahawk, and this most recent visit had a 6oz Wagyu Filet which was perfectly prepared. Yes it is on the pricier side, so not something on a regular basis, but semi or special occasion - worth every penny.
Service was pleasant but very slow. Food was ok, not the greatest.
Great food and very nice for pie anniversary
Not as good as the Jean Georges in New York. Food was good but not exceptional aS we had hoped. Service was also ok.
