Food came out cold. Flavors were bland.
Experience is excellent from start to finish . Staff are welcoming , knowledgeable and seem to enjoy their jobs . Food is delicious , good size portions , great cocktails , affordable wine list .
We had Brunch last Sunday, our waitress was outstanding (her name starts with A). The pancakes and bacon was really, really good. My friends enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits as well. One friend stated the grits are the best in the City. I just love this place. 5 stars from me and mine.. :)
Fabulous food, love the Sunday brunch menu. Our waitress and the hostesses were so kind and accommodating! We will be back very soon!
My wife and I had an unbelievable anniversary dinner at JCT. We made reservations, it was a busy night, and the tables were not opening quickly. When staff saw they could not seat us at our reservation time, they offered us a free round of drinks. Our waiter Victor was great. He was prompt and attentive but not overbearing. He had great suggestions for appetizers and an entre to split. The food was incredible, and the bill was very reasonable. I strongly recommend JCT.
Love this place. 3rd time being here over the past couple of years when in ATL. Took my mom who as in town on business. She has high standards. We both were impressed with the presentation and quality of our meals. If correct, our server was David. He was great as he greeted us in a timely fashion, made recommendations and checked in appropriately throughout the course of of our experience.
The one caveat to the whole experience is that is loud. If you are looking for extensive, deep conversation among a group this place might not be for you. Besides that everything was awesome from the minute we walked in the door.
Saturday night busy and noisy. Seated near large party The server was exceptional
Never had a bad meal... The angry Mussles is the best seafood dish I've ever had.
We had a great time. Food was great service was great. Shout out to Victor who took care of my spouse mom and pop for their birthdays
One of my favorite places to eat. The food is absolutely incredible and the portions and quality match the price. Highly recommend!
Food was phenomenal! Portions are big enough to split a meal. Get an appetizer (snack/first)!! Wait staff was great and made the experience even better.
Birthday Lunch. Our server Yancey was great! Vert attentive and professional.
Great service for a big group! Would have loved to have been inside to experience the stunning dining room but we had so much fun nonetheless! Food was unbelievable!
All 4 of us loved our meals. We started with deviled eggs and the ham with sourdough and recommend both. The bread they serve before the meal is incredible (especially with the honey butter).
All four entrees were great. I especially enjoyed my duck confit papardelle pasta which was a special.
Our waiter was patient and attentive. He did mix up our side and brought the Brussels sprouts instead of the apple salad but since we had been considering them both it was understandable and we didn’t even point it out.
We will definitely be back.
Food and service were awesome. Acoustics were NOT.
Took about an hour & a half to have food on the table. Great ambiance & place was packed for a Tuesday night but took just a little too long for drink orders & food to be on the table.
Our server was very attentive and helpful with steering me the right direction with regard to what I could definitely and should probably avoid because of a food allergy. All staff was very friendly, helpful and everyone was working. This group of severs are constantly moving, running food, refilling glasses, replacing silverware and taking plates.
Food was excellent. Really loved the Mac and cheese, deviled eggs, and my short rib gnocchi. The cauliflower I probably wouldn’t order again as it wasn’t very good/bland and I think it could’ve used a little longer to cook. Otherwise, everything was delicious!
Typically I love JCT but this past visit was not great. My food came out wrong which was concerning given I have a serious food allergy. It seems the allergy was not taken seriously. Also, the waitress dropped my leftover food on the floor while trying to package it up. I know it was an accident but it’s frustrating paying so much for a dinner and for that to happen. They did make a portion of the leftovers again but left out the side and sauce that came with the meal. Who wants to eat plain meat for leftovers the next day? All in all, I have never had such a bad experience there. It was really disappointing. There were several other things that happened also that just made the restaurant seem very disorganized.
A group of 15 of us were lucky to find JCT on a work trip for a conference and have a lovely Sunday “Supper”. The staff was incredibly accommodating and flexible with individual bills and the supper menu made large group dining SO easy.
The ambiance is good and the server was very sweet, but I went for brunch and felt very unhappy with what I got. I have a gluten allergy, which I stated when I made the reservation and again to the server. I was there because my friends wanted to go and I hate missing out on social gatherings just because of my allergy. I knew that there would be pastries offered, but I felt really bummed and left out that there was nothing for me. Not even the offer of more watermelon or a juice. I brought my own bread (thank goodness!) and paid $30 for some eggs and coffee. The eggs were delicious, but I really thought there might be some extra effort for a gluten allergy. Maybe fries instead of toast? Some extra fruit? A fresh orange juice? A macaroon or macaron? I left feeling how I often feel going out in Atlanta, disappointed and uncared for. Eating out here is like a big "screw you for having a gluten allergy". I can't see myself ever returning here or recommending it. The eggs were delicious and the server was very sweet, but I felt really screwed over with the brunch pre-fixe. It's a shame because the atmosphere is so nice. I understand that it is complicated to offer things that are gluten free in a kitchen that has wheat in it, but some sort of effort would be so appreciated.
Another great meal at JCT. Our server Winnie was the best, and made sure we enjoyed our dining experience.
My first time for brunch, disappointing $25 for a bowl of grits without one shrimp! Seriously??
Brunch menu was limited; food was bland; ambiance was nice
Great staff! We were a big party and they were so accommodating and patient !
We expected the food to be stellar, and it was, but the service was spectacular. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner and handcrafted drinks which were amazing. Looking forward to hitting up JCT. for brunch soon!
I'll keep returning to JCT. It's wonderful. The food is great. Money well spent. The real reason to go. Kayla!!! BEST server ever. We dine out a bit and travel a little. Kayla has it together. Not only knows the menu she KNOWS the food!! Just the right amount of attention without driving you crazy. I'm sure all the servers are great and one day I'll find out. I'm just sayin' if you go and you want a really special meal....it doesn't hurt to ask for Kayla's section!
We had a great time on New Years Eve. The meal was set but we still had great options and variety. We loved the experience
New Years Eve
New Year’s Eve fixes menu. Can’t wait to go back for regular menu items
My date and I had
Everything was wonderful but I thought it was a little pricey for the portions and the ambiance. Our waiter was a pro, though. He had only been there a very short time and really knew the menu. We just didn't see him again once we got our food because I think they were not staffed appropriately.
I have been a fan of JCT for 12 years. I brought a friend to JCT for the first time for lunch and she loved the fried chicken salad ... and is already planning to come back again soon!
I had dined here once a few years ago and had been looking forward to trying their Sunday supper, served family style. Well...the food was just okay. Really not very tasty except for the salad and bread. The service was alright, the noise level was ridiculously loud, and the price was not worth the experience. My two kids paid the same price - that's just wrong. Anyway...glad I tried it and now I know. I wouldn't return nor recommend. Sorry JCT Kitchen.
As always, the food was amazing!!! My rating for service, however, was average due to the fact that my previous service experience at JCT was exceptional!!
The food overall was pretty good, what you would expect from this farm-to-table establishment (or at least they used to be). The quality of food is great. The avocado toast (our favorite brunch item) was flavorful and the pre-brunch muffins were tasty. The low score was for the value. This brunch is OVERPRICED! $20 for pancakes? $20 for avocado toast? $25 for shrimp and grits where the shrimp is minced into the grits? That doesn’t make sense. Grits are one of the cheapest food items you can buy...pennies on the dollar. I recommend this restaurant for their lunch or dinner menu only but would NOT recommend for brunch. There are many other options in the city with the same quality of food for less.
The food and service were exceptional. I will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Excellent food and great service! So glad it was recommended by a former Atlantan.
Having been to JCT multiple times, we had high expectations for both the food quality and the service. Unfortunately, we were disappointed overall going to the brunch for the first time. Specifically, my wife ordered the brunch salad based on the description on the menu (included avocado for example); however, when the salad came out, there were multiple items on it that weren’t in the description (which would’ve affected my wife’s decision) to include apples and pecans. When my wife queried our waiter, instead of grabbing a menu to confirm, he simply asked which salad she ordered (only 1 on the brunch menu) and then got defensive saying that’s the salad she ordered. To his credit he took the salad and removed the pecans. Additionally, my wife asked for the eggs to be hard boiled instead of soft and still received soft and my brother in law asked for no eggs in the shrimp and grits and still got an egg. Overall, we were disappointed based on previous experiences at JCT, specifically the lack of attention to detail both on the food as well as the service side. Easy fixes in my opinion and I’m confident we’ll be back at a later date.
The brunch was delicious. If you have a chance to get the chicken-fried chicken, do it!
David did a great job serving us, and the food and ambiance were fantastic. Absolutely will return when in Atlanta.
