Got seated late from our reservation. Never was texted when our table was ready like they promised. Waitress started off nice and then was rude towards the end of the night and would disappear for 15 minutes at time requiring us to ask other serves for her. Started off good but service sucked by the end of the meal and she had a bad attitude. Still tipped 20% but she deserved 10% it was that slack.
We went for our anniversary and they paid attention to every detail for us. Service and food were great. Beautiful restaurant. Will definitely go back again!
Excellent! Great service and food.
We really enjoyed our lunch at JCT Kitchen. The service was excellent from the door to the table. We were almost overwhelmed by the table attention, however, it was pleasant as well as professional. Recommendations were given upon request without being overbearing. Our lunch choices were absolutely delicious. I am not a really big eater, but I got as close to finishing everything as possible. My daughter ordered the lobster roll and truffle french fries, I ordered the fried clam roll with truffle french fries. The flavors were exceptional. My daughter felt there could have been a bit more lobster for the price. Nevertheless, we will return.
Great food and reasonable prices
I took a colleague of mine who was in town to JCT for a updated Southern cuisine experience and he loved it! The food was excellent, the patio was perfect and the service was outstanding!
This place is great. Formal Service with an Informal Experience. Wait Staff is dynamic, well trained and over the top. Food is the same. I can't say enough good things. Got to have the Angry Muscles and make sure you dip the Focacia Bread in the Sauce. Fried Chicken is superb. Trout is superb. Cocktails were superb.
Food came out cold, sent it back, came back cold. It was my birthday and nothing was special.
Food is beyond great ! However we took our kids 7 and 4 there and even though it's advertises on Google trip advisor and yelp as family friendly ...our waitress didn't seem as though she wanted to be our server. Our kids were very well behaved and quiet the whole time. Uses all manners and even helped clean up the table. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with kids and I will NOT be returning, it's a shame because the food is great.
From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. Our waitress was AWESOME, friendly and knew the menu as if she wrote it herself. Great ambience and we will be back!
It's been a while since I was here. While the food is still solid -- shrimp + avocado salad and deviled eggs -- the bloody mary's took way too long and arrived watery (melted ice). The server didn't greet us, share her name and was very absent throughout the meal.
Have eaten here a few times. It's much more comfortable when there isn't a lot going on. Has a very nice atmosphere. Indoor is nice, outside too.
Don't go weekend nights unless you're out with friends. Gets very loud. Not good for date night as you can barely hear them.
Known for their fried chicken but had the pork chop for the first time and it was fantastic. Go at a non-busy time and you will enjoy ambiance.
The food was amazing. First time here and it was a great experience for me and wife. Service was excellent, great vibe and no words for the food outstanding. We will definitely be back.
Just order everything!! Service was amazing, hostess to server to upstairs bar, ALL amazing staff.
The BEST fried chicken EVER!! Must get the devilled eggs as an appetizer! :) Collards and macaroni and cheese are a must!
Nothing Special with the Food. I had the fish special (Tile Fish) with baby artichokes that I had to spit the tough petals out. Chef Ramsey would not be impressed either.
They were playing some awful loud retro pop eclectic music... silence would have been better.
The staff was attentive and the food was quite good.
I cannot tell you enough good things about JCT. As one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, it continues to serve up impeccable dishes and atmosphere. You cannot go wrong for any occasion, whether it be there informal bar upstairs or a more formal dinner downstairs.
We hadn't been to JCT Kitchen in years, but the menu intruiged me and was not at all what I remembered. We had a free Sunday night, so we came for the Sunday Supper menu. The food was excellent and we took home enough left overs for a whole other meal. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice southern meal.
Service was exceptional
The meal was skimpy! I will not be returning to JCT Kitchen. I took my family there for the Resurrection Day family style meal. I have never seen such small portions. The salad that was for two should have been for one person, and it would not have been a hearty salad for one. All portions were small and I was under the impression there would be choices. Nope. I realize the price was $26/person but we did expect a whole meal. The collard greens were tough and the macaroni and cheese was tasteless. The fried chicken was ok. We needed the rest of our chicken.
Family style to me means they bring out food as long as you desire it. It does not mean you get a spoonful of each dish and leave the restaurant hungry. We could have done better at Krystal’s Hamburgers. We would have been satisfied for a lot less money.
There sic in our group, two with very specific requirements. Everything was excellent! Everybody picked their proteins (Trout, Fried Chicken or Oxtail) and we all agreed upon three sides (Collard greens, mac 'n cheese and crab and grits). From the local ingredients in our salad, the biscuits and homemade preserves to the lemon tart - everybody was more than satisfied. Atticus, our server, completed the deal - he was omnipresent but not intrusive or in the way... We made some family memories that will last. Well, atleast until we can arrange to visit JTC Kitchen and Bar again! Needless to say one of our many conversations was about To Kill a Mockingbird, we had a great time and will return soon! If you haven't been you should!
Overall good food and atmosphere! A little pricy but I would dine here again.
Always amazing! We fall in love with the steak and Mac and cheese every time! One of our favorite “cheat meals”
Service was super friendly. Food was fantastic. Loved the Chicken & Dumplings.
Great food, amazing fried chicken, wonderful cocktails .nice atmosphere, great waitress -- all made for a great date spot
We had a fantastic server who took great care of us!
Staff was terrific and really tried to find us a quiet table. It was outside and we were able to carry on a conversation. Inside the noise level is way too high. Not conducive to a relaxing meal.
The bartender made great drinks.
We both ordered the fried chicken with collards and shared a burrata appetizer.
It was all delicious. Perfect fried chicken. Even the collards were very good.
Best southern food, period! Have been here for several years now, but first time trying the Sunday super. What a wonderful concept! You have to be here on Sunday night!
I would like to have more vegetarian side options. There was meat in most all the vegetables.
Love Sunday Supper at JCT - found out about it a few years ago and love taking family and friends when in town. The food is fantastic and the service is great!
I'm a big fan of the restaurant, and the menu. Unfortunately, on this particular occasion the service was lacking and it took over 35 mins for us to get the food. I'd still recommend to a friend, the food is simply amazing. Steak cooked to perfection!
The restaurant is a beautiful place. The decor and ambiance was great. But the food was completely lackluster. I had the pork chop and I couldn't even cut through it with steak knife. It has zero flavor and was completely disappointing. My wife had the "Chicken & Dumplings" and the chicken was the decent. Was way better than the pork chop! The best thing we had were the fries! Was completely shocked because I have heard such great things about this place but I won't be returning now for sure.
The food quality and service are always great.
Very disappointed. One of the worst meals I’ve had in Atlanta from a place that is normally pretty good. I hope it’s not the beginning of the end.
Awesome staff and food!
Great selection. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Staff at bar and host desk very friendly. Nice atmosphere. Will be back again!
As usual our food was delectable. The service was good with the exception of the kitchen getting behind and there being a longish gap between the appetizer and entrees. But overall a very enjoyable dining experience in a nice physical space, great for parties and celebrations.
Comfort food done extremely well.
Service is friendly and just the right amount of attention.
Always great food downstairs, and music upstairs is fantastic every time
