Artistically designed with unique sculptures, Javier's Crystal Cove provides guests with ocean views in a cozy, contemporary atmosphere to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. It opened its doors in 2008 on Newport Beach and is conveniently close to the Crystal Cove Shopping Center. This restaurant offers guests an upscale dining experience with such entrees as the Maine lobster enchilada topped with Monterey jack cheese and grilled chicken breasts braised in chipotle sauce. Javier's Crystal Cove serves a variety of fresh seafood dishes, appetizers and delicious desserts. It has a full bar that features numerous tequilas, cocktails, beers and wine. Javier's Crystal Cove also offers outdoor dining. It accepts reservations over the phone and online.

I've been coming all locations for 10+ years and have always had great experiences. The food ambiance and food are always great but since the remodel at the Crystal Cover location the service has gone downhill and FAST. The waiter was rude, unprofessional and even argued with me over the order. This is also not the first time l've had a poor experience with this gentleman in particular. Appetizers came out AFTER the food. At that point not only did they not even fit on the table, but we didn't even want them but were forced to keep them (this was the argument I stated above). Throughout the meal we saw our waiter 2 times at most. At the end of the meal we we sat at the table for roughly 20-30 minutes with no sign of our waiter. The table was still full of plates and we even began stacking them up but nobody would come grab them. After 30ish minutes I had to get up and go find someone so that I could pay the bill just to get out of there. When spending close to $1,000 on a dinner I expected a lot more, especially due to the fact that they've always set a high bar but was extremely disappointed.

Finally went to Javier's after the re model. We have been going to this restaurant for the past 20 years. We first went to the restaurant in Laguna Beach which became Javier's. NOISE has always been an issue. It was overlooked due to the food. However with this remodel the noise level can cause tinnitus ie ringing in the ears. The restaurant is not warm or inviting. Also it seems the restaurant prefers party of 4 or more. Party of 2 it's not a welcoming experience I will not be returning.

They have a crowd, even at 5:30, but the service was attentive and food was .delicious. Rafael was a great waiter

love the new redone Javiers the only thing I would want to see is if EVERY table has a view of the ocean. Love the area near the large bar with open air. Dont like the back of the house near entrance as much. Love Javiers

Too loud seems like a cafeteria experience. Besides, the noise level being too loud, the experience was eight out of ten.

My only complaint is that we were seated in a corner with no view of the ocean, which was a little disappointing considering how stunning the setting is. When you’re dining at a place known for its location, the view really adds to the experience.
