Loved the restaurant. It was my second venture to Jason's and the experience was just as good as the first time. The sea bass was EXCELLENT aND I WILL DEFINITELY return. Thank you, Jason and staff for a WONDERFUL dining experience!
I love eating at Jason's and can't believe how busy they are at 6:15 on a Thursday! I
Perfect for a business lunch. Not hurried at all. Good for private conversation. Food and prices make Jason’s a convenient ,central location in Marin County. Salads, shrimp Louie, and focatta sandwiches were all very good.
Food is always good and staff friendly. I have taken my grandchildren there, they are seven and ten and they enjoyed the food also.
We all had our usual excellent meals - I especially enjoy the Chilean Sea Bass
Price fixe menu for mothers day
A bit pricey $58 per person
Great food. We had the Mother’s Day menu. There were lots of choices and everything was delicious.
This is one of our favorite places but our experience was not as good this time. They did not let us know ahead of time that it was a set menu ($50 per person, $25 for kids) for Mother’s Day dinner. We would not have booked had we known this ahead of time. The menu did not include our favorites, the portions were smaller than usual. The kids menu was not worth the $25. It is still one of our favorites but would not go again with a fixed menu and will ask next time.
Spacious, quiet, lovely menu.
The restaurant was packed with a special event. The food came quickly but the shrimp had been over cooked. The wait staff was attentive.
A favorite of ours for everyday dining and happy hour. The BEST Chilean Sea Bass ever (including Santiago, Chile)!! We were served a potent Margarita made with Reposada tequila and a generous non greasy, lightly battered calamari appetizer with salsa and aioli sauce. Yum! Two of had the generous portioned sea bass and one the halibut. The sea bass was hot, flaky melt in your mouth delicious served on bed of rice and asparagus. The halibut was just as tasty. Dessert was hot fudge sundae with added caramelized pecans. Perfect ending. We have been there for happy hour where ½ priced appetizers ( hot shots, Caesar salad, tempura string beans, poke are recommended) in a lively TGIF atmosphere. A neighborhood fave not to be missed!
Always exceptional! I have never been disappointed!
Had a wonderful birthday evening here. Outstanding food and service.
We have never been disappointed - dine here frequently, both for lunch and dinner. Always excellent! Five stars across the board from us!
The chicken dish I ordered was overpriced
Jason's is a good lunch choice. The have a variety of salads that are quite good. I particularly like the blackened Caesar salad. On this particular visit I had a special, which was halibut on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The halibut was cooked perfectly, slightly undercooked, and was delicious. Jason's also has a Chilean sea bass entree which is also delicious.
Jason's tends to have an older crowd for some reason.
Lovely restaurant in an office park. I cannot speak for all the food, just for the baked salmon. It was very good, would have been great if there had been a lemony sauce. It is served with the side of jalapeno garlic mashed potatoes. Interesting, perhaps, but IMO really doesn't go well with the delicacy of the salmon.
I am fine with the sterile office park setting, though some might find it charmless. However, there are more important things to note. The food was consistently over-salted and over-cooked. Medium rare is usually medium well. The service is rushed and rehearsed and overly solicitous in a bad way. The décor is Marie Callendar's for the surf-and-turf set. Tables are set very close to one another and the acoustics are horrendous. But, on Thursdays they offer 50% any bottle of wine priced at $40 or above. Great value there!
Jason’s is my favorite restaurant in Marin County, because it is a nice ambience, the service is excellent, and the dishes are all quite inventive, creative, and delicious! Some of my favorites are the signature Miso glazed Seabass, the pasta carbonara, the Cajun pasta, the Herbed salmon, just too many excellent choices to name them all!
Jason is personally there almost every night supervising the kitchen, and it is such a delight to try some of the clever “fusion” dishes - this is quite a treat, and highly recommended!
Great place; great food. Love to come with friends or my hubby. Consistently really good. Jason really cares and it shows.
Jason’s is my favorite restaurant in Marin, because the restaurant itself is very attractive and nicely decorated, and the chef/owner Jason does a fabulous job. His dishes are original, creative and delicious!
The pasta dishes are so good! Also, there is a super Happy hour. And, don’t miss Monday night’s Lobster special 3 course dinner, that is incredibly good and well-priced. Also the signature Miso Glazed SeaBass is out of this world. It’s a great restaurant.
The restaraunt did not live up to its Check Please review by any means. It offers mostly tired and tasteless, middle of the road Italian fare that is grossly overpriced. Its wine list is probably the best thing it has to offer. In no way does it offer Asian/Italian fusion.I will never go back.
Jason’s continues to be the best in Marin.
We don't dine out often, but would definitely choose Jason's again for a business lunch or special occasion dinner. The food was fantastic, even the vegetarian options.
Excellent service too. We were all surprised at how reasonable the lunch prices are -
& the servings were more than adequate!
Went to Jason's for lunch with a friend, she had the salmon and I had the Chilean Sea Bass, both of our meals were excellent and the waiter was outstanding, very friendly and attentive.
Great special crab linguini and crab salad dishes combined with great service and good friends made for a delightful dinner.
The food is always delicious. Service is great as well. Very nice atmosphere! Love Happy Hour as well!!
The fishermen’s stew was excellant! All the seafood was very fresh and the sauce enhanced the the food instead of overwhelming it. We also had the lamb chops which were perfectly cooked to a medium rare and seasoned lightly. Our starter was the Tomato Bisque that so flavorful I will order it on every visit . Tiramisu made a perfect light ending to our dinner.
The service from seating to leaving the bill is superlative. Attention to detail and cuisine superb.
The food is expensive and awful. All 5 of us agreed. The service was horrible as if they’ve never waited on a table before. Clumsy and instructive. Very loud and disorganized .
We are a regular at Jason’s. That says it all.
Love this restaurant! Never a bad meal!!
Great food and great service, unbeatable combination, with added benefit of half off wine.
Took a friend. Her first time. Has been one of my Marin go to for years. It was my birthday and my very efficient wait person overheard my friend mentioning it was my BD lunch. Waiter picked up and brought me a lovely and my favorite chocolate sundae.
Also came at 12:30 and ended up talking until 4:30 and no one seemed to mind that we overstayed our welcome.
Thanks so much. Will see you again soon.
It was busy but the service was terrible. Waiter was rushed and seemed annoyed when we weren’t ready. Then added automatic 20% gratuity
It was a lunch for 8 people and we were at a circular table which was ideal for us. The food came at the right time. Our waiter was very nice and the food was fabulous as usual.
Called to change my reservation from 7:00 to 5:30 for 6 people on a Saturday night. Jason’s was very accommodating. I love the food and the wine selections!
Friendly neighborhood restaurant with a wide ranging menu. pleasant outdoor seating when the weather permits.
Food rich and tasty. Menu is diverse but needs refreshing. Specials add variety but are relatively expensive,
Noise can be an issue
