The service from seating to leaving the bill is superlative. Attention to detail and cuisine superb.
The food is expensive and awful. All 5 of us agreed. The service was horrible as if they’ve never waited on a table before. Clumsy and instructive. Very loud and disorganized .
We are a regular at Jason’s. That says it all.
Love this restaurant! Never a bad meal!!
Great food and great service, unbeatable combination, with added benefit of half off wine.
Took a friend. Her first time. Has been one of my Marin go to for years. It was my birthday and my very efficient wait person overheard my friend mentioning it was my BD lunch. Waiter picked up and brought me a lovely and my favorite chocolate sundae.
Also came at 12:30 and ended up talking until 4:30 and no one seemed to mind that we overstayed our welcome.
Thanks so much. Will see you again soon.
It was busy but the service was terrible. Waiter was rushed and seemed annoyed when we weren’t ready. Then added automatic 20% gratuity
It was a lunch for 8 people and we were at a circular table which was ideal for us. The food came at the right time. Our waiter was very nice and the food was fabulous as usual.
Called to change my reservation from 7:00 to 5:30 for 6 people on a Saturday night. Jason’s was very accommodating. I love the food and the wine selections!
Friendly neighborhood restaurant with a wide ranging menu. pleasant outdoor seating when the weather permits.
Food rich and tasty. Menu is diverse but needs refreshing. Specials add variety but are relatively expensive,
Noise can be an issue
One of 2 favorite places to go in marin.
excellent wine selections
something for everybody!
EASY TO PARK, FAIR PRICE FOR OUTSTANDING FOOD,GOOD ACCESS TO 101.
BUT THE PART IS FANTASTIC DISHES,WITH A GOOD SELECTION ON THE MENU
Jason's is such a wonderful restaurant. It has a lot of good things going for it. The Happy Hour is one of the best in Marin, with thin-crust pizzas, creative shrimp dishes, the interesting salads, creative lobster martinis, and a lively bar scene.
The cuisine is Jason's creative mix of French, Asian and Italian. Such a diverse menu of delicious dishes, ranging from Cajun Pasta to the signature Miso Sea Bass to the Fettucine Carbonara to the Cioppino the NY Steak. All delicious!
The Monday night Lobster special is a very special dinner. You must try it.
With a lovely dining room and excellent service, Jason's is very highly recommended!
Lunch is good and comfortable with lots of options. My group usually goes for dinner though. First of all we order "healthy fries" which are actually tempura dipped green beans with 2 different sauces. We all love them. Very good food and service. Popular restaurant with nice patio when warm. We go often.
What great food and service! Top notch! The waiter was very patient with my Mom asking a myriad of questions. Outstanding in every way!! It is noisy there and tables are very close together.
This is one of my regular haunts . The Brandy Chicken dish is Fabulous , and they also make a cocktail I love ..
Always order Prawns Scampi. Rest. very busy and my entree wasn't up to it's usual standard - not hot enough and not enough lemon. Otherwise always a good place to dine.
Loved it Loved the food the wine and the ppl.
Food was delicious. Lots of selections. Enjoyed the salmon special with jalapeno mashed potatoes. Would give higher overall score but group of 8 with loud men was seated in center of room and their noise was overwhelming. Half price bottles of wine on Tuesday and Thursday is great way to try higher prices selections from fairly extensive list.
we like Jason's except for the fastness of service. we had two courses plus a cocktail and wine. in and out in less than an hour and half. despite requesting a slow down, fast food seems to be the goal
Dragon prawns are delicious as usual. Salads are fresh and equally appetizing.
Dependably good food. Love it for lunch. Great for birthdays or informal gatherings.
As always love Jason's, but this time even though we had an early reservation and it was
quiet for the first 45 minutes, it became extremely noisy and hard to hold a conversation at
our table. Business is good and I am happy to see it, but would like some kind of noise
reducer-----Our servers were attentive and not obtrusive, willing to make substitutions. The bus boy was a little eager to take plates before all at the table had finished. Food selection was excellent. Really like the lobster bisque soup. thank you.
Jason's is always wonderful. On this occasion, we encountered an argumentative waiter, however, everything else was great. We keep coming back to Jason's because it's one of the best restaurants in Marin.
Consistently delicious food. Never had a piece of over cooked or under cooked fish and the pastas and salads are spot on. Jason is really a wonderful chef. Very friendly polite staff are there for your every wish. I love this place!
Our waiter was not friendly, a bit rude to us and didn’t engage whatsoever. We also had mentioned that we didn’t like a soup (only eaten a bit) and he didn’t have the courtesy to remove from bill. Overall , the food was good but service last night was awful.
Good portions and delicious food. We had the lamb, fettucini, and cajun tuna and everyone was pleased. The mashed potatoes are plentiful and tasty.
Waiter brought wrong dish, and correct dish came shortly after and we were comp'd a cocktail.
Service is spot on, water glasses always full and pleasant staff.
Celebrated a Birthday Dinner with 8 people, had a delicious meal and great service. Jason the Owner came out and greeted our table and made sure everything was up to his and our picky standards. Finished the evening at the bar and equally had the same great experience. Definitely will be back!
A friend had recommended Jason’s to us and we finally went last Saturday night for a date night dinner. We were quickly seated and our server came quickly and brought water and bread and took our beverage order. Our drinks came quickly. I asked about the miso marinated Chilean sea bass and our server said if I ordered it I would continue coming back. I started with the hamachi shooters and both were EXCELLENT. The miso marinated sea bass was as good if not better than miso yaki butterfish served in Hawaii. My wife ordered the Gorgonzola and pear salad and a delicious pizza.
We shared the chocolate sundae for dessert and we left very full and very satisfied
Favorite Marin Restaurant. Sea Bass is as good as it gets.
We had heard that this place was very good, and my husband had been here several years before, so we took our family out to celebrate two birthdays. We did not have any wine. We had three appetizers: the shots, the poke, and seared scallops. The shots and scallops were very good. I have had better poke. I thought the scallops appetizer was very skimpy. At $15 per appetizer, I did not feel good about our selections. Entrees were just okay. My mother-in-law was disappointed in the lamb. My burger was not very well seasoned. Two of our younger children had chicken strips, which were way over-salted/seasoned. The wait staff was attentive, but our server lacked personality - this can go either way for some groups. Our group likes to joke around, so we noticed the lack of humor/sense of fun. We all had desserts - no complaints there. Overall, we probably would not return. There are too many other options in Marin.
My husband had the nightly special of pasta with fresh crab, and it was so heavily garlicked that he was unable to eat it, and changed plates with our daughter who said the same, but ate it.
My crab cakes were just OK. Crab Louie was fine. Kitchen was nice and split our salad for us, which we appreciated.
The waiters are pretty charmless, and don't add anything to the pleasure of an evening out. They have not been trained to leave finished dishes until everyone at the table has finished which should be a must for this level of restaurant.
Not encouraged to go back again.
My favorite restaurant in Marin!
Good food and value with convenient access to the freeway and plenty of parking.
I would recommend the Tiger Prawns and Chilean sea bass. The owner (Jason) is friendly and welcoming.
The food won't open any culinary vistas, but is tasty and some things are quite creative.
Highly recommend the scampi and the Brandy chicken. Quite pleasant sitting outside. Very quiet and relaxing. No rushing to get us out.
Delicious Prawn Scampi and fab Hot Fudge Sundae 😀
Jasons's never fails to provide a top notch dining experience! It is one of a very few restaurants in Marin that is consistent in the quality of its food and servers. It is a favorite among my group of friends. Thank you, Jason, for your many years of excellence :-)!
Great service and excellent food all around. The 1/2 off on wine over $40 was a plus.
Food was excellent and service was extraordinary. Our waiter noticed that we were all wearing black . He replaced the 3 white napkins with 3 black ones so we wouldn't get lint on our clothing. His care, attentiveness and delightful personality added to the lovely evening.
I have always enjoyed Jason's and highly recommend it. Reservations are needed if you want to make sure you get a table.
