Jams - Midtown
Jams - whether it be Old Market, Midtown or West, is my go to for dining with business connections and friends, for business discussions, catching up, celebrating as well as sharing a meal of comfort. Food is ALWAYS delicious, service is consistently wonderful menu prices are a value, and the locations, each with its own personality, are fun and comfortable atmospheres for gathering. Jams Midtown will always be my favorite as it is the original location.... a lot of memories!! But, Old Market and West make it easy to enjoy wherever you may be going! Jams is Omaha's dining gem!!
Our waitress did a very good job of making sure we could meet our needed departure time.
Food is great. Noise level does not allow for easy conversation. High energy, not calm and relaxing. Tables are way too close together, even before COVID I did not like the placement of tables, you barely have room to walk between each table. Servers work hard to accommodate all the people they have to serve within the space. Prices are good value for the flavorful variety of food.
We had a great birthday celebration at Jams! Our service was outstanding. The server was attentive, very helpful and perfectly pleasant with our larger group. The side room we were in was fairly quiet, even with a table with young children nearby. Wonderful experience.
Service was great. Food fabulous. Jams is a favorite dining place for me and my Dad.
Loved it. Thanks!!
I had a good time with my family, we enjoyed the food, and music by Nate of Minor Detail.
The server, who was very nice, put in a wrong order for me: Although we talked about one dish, I ultimately chose another. I should have told her, but I didn’t want my fellow diners’ food to get cold while I waited for a refire. That kind of put a damper on the meal.
The food was excellent and the service was fabulous. We had a 2 hour lunch meeting during the time at Jams and we were never rushed and even stayed after lunch to have a Friday afternoon cocktail. Again great service.
This was our first time at Jams and we LOVED IT! My husband has a gluten and egg intolerance and the waitress and kitchen were more than accommodating! The food and price point were spot on. Thank you for helping us celebrate our wedding anniversary!
We had an amazing time. We found on Open table since most restaurants were full from out of town guests. Everything we ordered was delicious.
This was great service. We had a large party of 9 and they were really accomodating. It was a little loud as we were trying to have business conversations across the whole table but it was also a Friday night. Great food and everyone was very happy.
Always a great experience. Have been there many times and never disappointed.
For the first time the food was unimpressive. The braised short rib was gray and tasteless. Our server was great.
We go to and enjoy Jams a lot, but this visit was disappointing. It took forever to get our food. While I understand restaurants are short staffed, people that arrived after us were getting their food long before us. We were also told the delay was due to takeout orders. If you are short staffed, shouldn’t takeout orders be suspended so that you can better serve in house customers? Also, I ordered the roasted turkey sandwich and the meat was extremely dry.
It was great.
Absolutely amazing food, waitress was awesome and it was all perfect!
The service was great!
My friends and I were looking a place to eat close to an event we attended, and Jam's popped up and we decided to try it. They were super friendly, we waited at the bar for only the amount of time it took to grab a glass of wine from a well appointed wine list. We had a nice booth-table in the middle of the restaurant and were able to easily converse throughout the meal, which makes it so nice not to have to yell at each other! hahaha .... and the best part was the menu! What an exciting variety and fusion of food! We had something totally different from each, and we all raved about our food! I'm not from Omaha, but will be visiting this place as often as I return!
We enjoyed an evening prelude to an Omaha Orchestra Performance. Food was appropriate and well prepared. A few more fries than needed, but the entries were delicious. A pleasant evening in a central Omaha location.
The food and the service are always outstanding at Jams.
I always love Jams. This was a great place to celebrate Mother's Day! Service and food were great!
Jams never disappoints! They had a special one Mothers Day, the Habanero Lobster Bisque was one of the best soups I've ever had. I love this place and they continue to have some of the best food in Omaha.
Tasty Happy Hour food and drinks. Pleasant atmosphere, comfortably spaced tables.
The hoisin chicken tenders were so good. I had the skyscraper vegetable sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the mac and cheese with braised short rib. He ate the whole thing. Toped off with a glass of wine and voila', looking forward to going back again.
My friends and I had a wonderful time. The food and service were great.
Food was great, as was the service. Margarita was a bit stiff.
Great food and great service. Had Easter brunch there with the family. Be aware that sausge has jalenpenos. The adults liked it but the 4-year-old was not impressed. :)
The environment was good. The service was accommodating and the waitress was nice. The mimosas were very tart, which was a disappointment. The pick me up Coffee was out of this world!
All of the food tasted good. There was a mix up of meals when served. The only complaint that I would have is a steak was ordered medium and it was COLD and rare in the middle. The waitress said we should have said something earlier.
Otherwise I would definitely recommend! The 16 minute puff is awesome! I didn't get the strawberries served like the others were.
Jams has about the best menu I've seen in a long time. My husband and I had a difficult time choosing because everything sounded delicious. When we finally made our selections, we were both very happy with the food. I had a daily special, chicken saltimbocca, and my hubby had the carnitas enchiladas. Superb! Jordan was our server and took good care of us. The cocktails were not overpriced and were generously-sized. I would highly recommend Jams!
Great food. Great service. Always consistent. Jams is one of those places that you know if you don't order your regular item, whatever you get will be good.
Food was good, service was good, felt completely safe.
You seem to be out of Steak for your Steak Frites often, which is a bummer.
We had brunch at Jams and it was delicious!! Our service was a little lacking (had to seek out the waitress a few times) but overall it was a great experience!
We stopped in for a late lunch. My husband had a salad with chicken. It was fine, nothing special. I decided to order the Asian chicken lettuce wraps. I don't know what they were thinking when they developed this recipe! It is essentially an overly sauced, mediocre, soba noodle and veggie stir fry with a little chicken in it served with some romaine lettuce on the side. It either needs to come off the menu or needs some serious overhaul. Used to come here quite a bit and it was always great. Likely will never be back. Service was good, as it should be, since we were one of two tables in the whole place on a Saturday at 2pm.
Awesome! The salmon is seasoned perfectly and so fresh!
Great service and food! Our waiter was pleasant and accommodating as was the hostess and bar staff.
Food was delicious, lamb was cooked perfectly! Service was on par!
Our server Jordan was wonderful! She made our dining experience very relaxing despite our concerns with the recent lift in restrictions. Our food was delicious and we would definitely come back!
