Great location, a local favorite. Unfortunately, we were seated in what seemed to be the “kid” section. Not ideal. Food was good, but overly spicy. I had the Ahi and my husband had the special, a rib eye. Both were very spicy.

Our waiter kept forgetting drinks and had to be reminded several times. Then he didn’t even comp the items he kept forgetting.

Celebrating a birthday. Saved us a great table with birthday card from Jake’s. Outstanding service, food and friendliness. Hula Pie made a part of birthday celebration from Jake’s.

This place was great, we got to see the sunset, and the food is immaculate. The portions are small, like most fancy restaurants, but it is perfect!

We are local San Diegans and LOVE this restaurant. Del Mar beach area is beautiful and Jake’s is a gem. Just had our 35th wedding anniversary dinner there and it was fantastic. Also stayed and local hotel nearby so what a great 24 hours of fun/sun.

Was disappointed at the initial table they wanted to sit us at. Great view, but the 5th person would have been in the alleyway of customers and servers, plus it was a small table. We asked for a larger table so that we wouldn’t be so cramped. They accommodated us, which was awesome, the booth had sufficient room and the view was even better. Next time I will include on the request a booth.
