We are local San Diegans and LOVE this restaurant. Del Mar beach area is beautiful and Jake’s is a gem. Just had our 35th wedding anniversary dinner there and it was fantastic. Also stayed and local hotel nearby so what a great 24 hours of fun/sun.

Was disappointed at the initial table they wanted to sit us at. Great view, but the 5th person would have been in the alleyway of customers and servers, plus it was a small table. We asked for a larger table so that we wouldn’t be so cramped. They accommodated us, which was awesome, the booth had sufficient room and the view was even better. Next time I will include on the request a booth.

Every time we dine at Jake’s, we are 100% satisfied! The seafood pot is my go-to. It is exquisite! The service is amazing! Dennis has helped us numerous times and is always so kind and helpful. As you sit on the window table, you see the waves and the beach - so the ambiance is spectacular! No wonder Jake’s is my favorite place!
