J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Blue potato chips & chocolate velvet cake. The food was delicious. We can always count on our steaks being cooked as requested; neither over or under cooked. Our server, Brian, was extremely personable and attentive.

If I could give j.gilbert’s 10 stars I would !! My husband and I went yesterday . It was the Fourth of July but we were celebrating our retirements . Don was our server . He was wonderful ! So polite and personable but not fake . The food was delicious as always . Worth every penny . We are relocating out of state and we were sharing with Don how much we will miss this place . He said he hoped we would come and dine again when we come to visit , we sure will . Thank you j.gilbert’s for staying excellent all these years .

We had a wonderful waitress who was very attentive and the food was good. Unfortunately it was freezing at our table. I’m not sure if we were under a vent or the whole restaurant was freezing but we were cold and our food got cold. It was so uncomfortable that we skipped dessert.

JGibert’s has stepped up its “game” in every way. We were impressed with the menu changes. The bacon wrapped shrimp is outstanding and my new favorite appetizer! It’s a new experience that is well worth the visit. Their service is top shelf and very welcoming without a hint of being rushed. Looking forward to our next visit.

We were a table of four and I took three people that have never been to J. Gilbert’s before and they absolutely loved it and would love to go back. We had such a great time. The food was absolutely perfect.

My husband and I have been going to J Gilberts for many years now. However, with the recent menu changes such as no longer offering the coconut cake, lobster risotto with scallops, the mini burgers for happy hour, etc., we don't think we will visit this establishment as much anymore. We weren't even able to substitute our two sides for something else when they were running a special yesterday. This was never the case in the past. We are very disappointed with the many menu changes that this particular establishment is doing. We are sad to see so many because this has been one of our favorite restaurants to go to.
