Ivan Ramen is an extremely popular ramen spot from Japan, now in the Lower East Side.
Spectacular and memorable ramen, fun and interesting sour beers, and delicious / shareable appetizers. Friendly, informative and helpful waiters. It was our first time and we had a great time. We’ll be back :)
Sat at the bar and had delicious cauliflower and eggplant appetizers followed by an amazingly delicious chicken based ramen. Fantastic comfort food.
we enjoyed our meal, only quibble is we felt rushed.
This restaurant was great m! The only problem I had was that I originally made the reservation for 8 People and I was not notified that a group this large would have a pre set menu costing $75 a plate. I had a last minute cancellation and notified the restaurant which was when they told me I would no longer have the pre set menu of which I had never heard. Triple chicken triple pork was amazing and the shoyu ramen was very good! Will be back
Just as fabulous as I expected. Will go back as soon as I can.
"The Chefs Table" show on TV was the reason we decided to try this place...
Overall it wasn't a good experience.
My friend who was there some time ago - advised me not to go, as there is nothing special there, as per his words, and he was right.
Mine dish wasn't hot enough - so the half way through it I was eating basically cold spaghetti, at least, that how it felt.
My friend's dish wasn't explained properly regarding the level of spice in it , so she ended up ordering another one and was charged for both.
Setting the table right in front of the washroom where there is a line of people waiting to get in is not really a good idea. You can't enjoy the food being in the middle of toilet traffic.
Honestly I'm enjoying way more something similar which cost only $5 in Toronto and served HOT: very flavorful and tasty broth, beef, veggies, slice a lemon, herbs.
Best Ramen anywhere!! Service was fantastic and cool environment.
Lived up to every last slurp I thought it would be. A must try.
I have been trying to dine here since his Netflix special. I'm from Buffalo and it was worth the trip. The fried chicken appetizer and pork bun were tasty and the noodles were satisfying and filling.
So tasty. Everything was excellent. Very quick and met all of our expectations.
amazing food and very inventive. Super tasty and wonderful flavor. I need to return to continue to explore the menu in full.
Fantastic ramen - not your standard if you order one of the special ramen but super tasty. Springy, thicker noodles. Definitely returning for more.
This is the best food for the price I've ever had. The waiter was awesome, always giving you suggestions, and he was so right EVERY TIME.
Amazing time! Fried chicken and Coney Island tofu are truly unforgettable.
Fantastic restaurant with very attentive staff. Amazing food, definitely a highlight of our holiday here. Keep it up!
We were sat a a kinda weird and scrunched table in the way front by the window. Service was quick and friendly. The food was good, but nothing crazy notable or memorable.
There are other great and better places for ramen. It is worth to try though as it has a story and the shop has a good vibe.
Great! Love the vegetarian options
Servers were on-point and attentive, food was amazing, wait time was understandable, can’t wait to come back
My best friend and I had this on our list as we came into town to celebrate my birthday. As foodies and people who Love ramen we heard great things about this place, it was good, but it wasn’t great. The wheat noodles weren’t what I expected, the texture and size of the noodles were megh.... and the flavor was a bit bland for both of our tastes. We both had to ask for additional condiments and chili sauce to make the dish better. For 16 dollars I’ve seen other places in the area that our possibly just a bit more authentic and reasonably priced.
Great meal with excellent service. Brought our son in to celebrate his 16th Birthday with a few friends. He dabbles in some of his own ramen making and was eager to give it a shot. It did not disappoint
Excellent light fare. We had cauliflower, mushroom, and squash appetizers, then Ramen noodle dishes for the main course. All delicious, flavorful, and not too spicy. Unique dining experience.
We had a great waiter that helped us order & pair dinner with different beers. Spot on!
Anytime I have friends visiting NYC I always take them straight to Ivan. The food is incredible and the service is always amazing. I live two blocks away and I can’t tell you how hard it is not to come every night!
Loved it! Saw Ivan on Chef’s Tabke and have been waiting to taste - it was more than worth the wait. I will be back the next time I am in NYC
The cauliflour was outstanding
The salty soup was amazing
The guy who served us was the nicest and very natural guy
Thank u wiil come back with my friend from israel next week
Very noisy and crowded place. Bad A/C. Difficult to comment on food as this was our first ramen ever, but generally very tasty.
You have to eat here, it's that simple.
It was my first time at Ivan Ramen and it did not disappoint! We had the pork buns - must try! The triple pork and chicken ramen specials were both excellent! Our waiter was super nice and the atmosphere was very cozy. Would definitely come back!
This is a very, very special place. Incredible food, humble atmosphere, great waitstaff -- all around a thoroughly enjoyable restaurant.
Ramen broth was good but not as deep and mysterious as newer competitors in the ramen space
The broth was half way between clear ramen broth and the milky decomposed pork ramen broth you find in Tokyo
Very good service. Very long wait times for walk ins but they take reservations on Open Table so please reserve and save lots of time
Reservation for 2, had a 3rd person join. They cancelled our reservation.
food quality was excellent. The décor was super fun. Everything was fantastic!!!!
I think I absolutely loved Ivan Ramen. After landing in NY from the uk we spent the afternoon drinking between bars finally ending up on a rooftop chucking back cocktails and shots. By our half 8 booking we were truly and spectacularly sloshed. Apologies to anyone we may have encountered as we chomped & slurped through some delicious pork ramen and chicken kareage. For an occasion where I ate with so little memory it was a truly memorable experience. I think. Would recommend... just a little more sober
The appetizers were excellent - inventive and delicious. We had the fried chicken, the green beans and the pork buns. The mains were somewhat disappointing. Two of us had ramen - which was fine but nothing special. The tsansuke was so cold that it turned the dipping sauce cold as well - it became a soggy chilly mess.
Amazing food and great vibe
I had watched Ivan on Chefs Table and had wanted to check it out. Knowing the back story gives a lot of context for the space which really feels like NY Jew meets japan and I loved it. The tofu is so cool—just different from anything else you find on a menu. And the chicken noodles were straight comfort food. Well done, I want to go back.
I love Ivan
Fantastic time at a place I've been to before it was popular.
We were recommended this and went when we were visiting NYC. It was perfect. The ramen was tasty, prices were reasonable, friendly staff...small place and great eats. Couldn't ask for more.
