This is now my third time dinning here. All three times has been an outstanding experience. Foos is great. My fiance swears by the pork chop.

This was a first time visit for our anniversary and it was an ok experience! Upon entering the restaurant for our reservation the hostess gave us a beeper and told us we would be seated in a short time. We waited around 10 minutes and when our buzzer went off the hostess told us she didn’t have the “best seats” for us but if we didn’t mind waiting we could wait for a better view sitting table. We were already well past our reservation time so we were sat on the complete opposite side of the “best seat” tables. Not a great first impression, but the managers Matthew came over and greeted us and the food was superb. That made up for it a little, plus being by ourselves made for a nice, quiet dinner. It was disappointing to watch everyone get seated at the best seats a little while after us (I wouldn’t have minded a move once a good table was available) but the food was great and our complimentary dessert made it even sweeter! Will give it another try hopefully later this year!

Our fourth visit. Love this place! My steak was a little overcooked, but it didnt take away from the whole experience.

Anniversary dinner. The best part was the service: attentive, respectful, prompt. The view of the bay and waterfront is beautiful, even from tables that are not beside a window. The food was extremely rich--butter, butter, butter--but not particularly tasty. (We had prime rib, scalloped potatoes, rack of lamb, escargot.) In honor of our anniversary, we were treated to mini-cheesecakes for dessert, which we appreciated; not all restaurants where we've celebrated have done this. The design and decor are pleasing, but the noise level was pretty high. The prices were very high--maybe justified by the view and the service, but not by the quality of the food.

Fantastic food and service. This establishment is on the top of my short list of best places to eat in San Diego. Thank you to the staff and our server Justin for giving my wife and I a very special and memorable anniversary dinner.

Special menu for restaurant week.
Steak was not cooked to order and tasteless. Large portion of deep fried onions- why! And a small portion of leaf spinach that was awful visually and even worse to eat. For what we paid for two couples I was embarrassed that I made the recommendation since I've been there before having a very positive experience.

The night was great. Food was really good and service was excellent! Brady knocked it out of the park with his personality! My first time and I will go back! (C Level is my fav so RW got me over to cheat)

We were celebrating our daughters adoption day and the waiter (sorry can’t recall his name) made sure it was special. Outstanding service and great food. Our waiter was knowledgeable on food and made great recommendations. One of our favorite restaurants in San Diego.

My only disappointment was that the pork chops were not on the Restaurant Week menu as in past years. Server said I was the second person who wanted the pork chops. I hope the chef will put the pork chops back on the restaurant week menu next year. I had made the reservation in mid-November, and swore the menu for SDRW had pork chops on it.
Everything was good, though.
