Iozzo's is the most authentically Italian restaurant in Indianapolis. Entire, multi-generational families, kids to grandparents, dining together. The chrome-plated Italian restaurants are not traditional Italian. They are Americanized cash machines.
We love this restaurant! They hosted our son’s rehearsal dinner last fall and did an amazing job with both food and service. Owner Katie Harris truly provides a wonderful downtown Indy gem. We’ve fallen in love with their signature red wine Dominic’s “The Incident”. We asked for the story behind the wine’s name and server Dana did a delightful job of telling us the family story. Iozzo’s is truly one of our favorite restaurants and we bring guests to visit it as often as we can.
Service was great and everything but the only downfall were the knives. It was very hard to cut any of the food with the knives provided.
Iozzo’s is an amazing restaurant! We love coming here for our special occasions because we’re always treated like family.
My favorite place to go ❤️
It was our first time in Indianapolis and we ended it at a very nice restaurant.
Great environment. Great service. Going back ASAP. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner there. We stayed for 2.5 hours and didn’t feel rushed the whole time.
Just a really outstanding meal! The service and food were both first rate. I will make it a point of going back the next time I’m in Indy.
Amazing food, great service!
Great food and atmosphere!
Great celebration for my mom’s bday! Highly recommend!
Food was excellent! The meatball martini a fun favorite! Server was excellent!
Fantastic! One of our favorite go-to restaurants. We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Never a bad meal. Great, friendly staff, too!
We have been to Iozzos many times over the years and have always had a good experience. The food has been delicious, the service awesome. Must have been an off night or they are struggling a bit, as this visit for a special occasion was less than stellar. The waiter was on the verge of being totally offensive. His comments were rude, but he said them upbeat enough that he got by with it. The food was acceptable but not as good as it has been. The portions were much smaller than in the past. We spoke with the manager on duty about our experience and she did try hard to make it right, but if they just go back to the awesome food, portions and service we’ve always enjoyed, there will be no need for apologies. I hope they work it out because it is one of our favorites and we want them to succeed so we can celebrate many more special events there!
Always a treat to eat here! A little noisy but great food & service keep me coming back.
Wonderful service, made us feel so special and welcome. The smashed tomatoes and ravioli. Salmon Marsala is excellent! Quick so we could go back to work as well!
Great service even with a big group. Thank you
One of the best Italian we've had. Highly recommend.
Sarah was possibly the best server we could’ve had and it was an amazing dinner experience!
Our server, Dale, was outstanding. Dinner was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Great way to spend a Saturday evening.
We've been coming here for the last few years for all of our special occasions! It may not be the cheapest of options for a regular dinner by all means, but instead it is my go to place for any sort of celebration or event! Two can eat quite well for around 60 dollars before tip, and still have three courses!
The servers and bartenders are by far some of the best I have ever been served by, and take their time to explain anything and everything to both new and returning diners if necessary.
15/10 will eat here every chance I get!
We had a great meal and good service. I thought the martinis were a bit pricey but they were delicious. I love their eggplant parmesan. The restaurant was crowded but with a reservation we were seated right away and the food was served in a timely manner. Love this restauarant!
I have been to IGI many times. Always such a well deserved treat. Our table service as exceptional, although my lasagna was burnt on the bottom, unable to even cut through bottom layer, very dried out. My freshly made cocktail was very nice. Hope my next dinner selection is better quality, than what was served for a Friday night date night. My homemade lasagna was a better value.
Katie... please taste test what leaves the kitchen before serving to your customers on occasion..
Great food and service was great!
Service was spectacular - attentive without being overbearing. Very personable and knowledgeable. Food was incredible. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t LOVE!
My favorite restaurant when having lunch in the city.
Great food and ambiance. Reservations and parking are icing on the cake.
It was amazing!!!! I loved the atmosphere and it was gorgeous inside and out. Very romantic I loved it!!!
My fiancé and I came in for our Valentines Day dinner and everything was perfect (again). Our only other visit was the night we got engaged and we had to come again, and we’re so glad we did. Service was perfect, food was incredible and the ambiance is always relaxed. Portions are enough for dinner and lunch the next day, and they have vegetarian-friendly options (yay!). Love this place and always recommend it.
I made reservations for my wife and I to enjoy dinner for Valentine’s Day. In true procrastinating fashion, I waited until the week of the holiday to reserve a table. Luckily there was a 7:45 available. This restaurant seemed like a hidden treasure right outside of downtown when we arrived. We were seated promptly when we walked in and I gave my name. The first thing I noticed was the style and character of Iozzos when I walked in. It had a nice little elegant/fancy presence with a touch of that Italian character. Our waiter “Dale” was a pleasant person and he acknowledged us in an appropriate time and went over the details of the menu and drinks throughly well. There was bread and a nice little sauce plate of butter to start off with. I noticed that the prices per the menu seemed to be fair and in order for what you were getting. There were lower prices for basic entrees and they also had higher prices for more quality entrees as well. I started off with Italian wedding soup with meatballs and the taste was just right. My wife had the soup of the day that came with the sampler platter and she enjoyed it as well. We ordered the sampler platter that came with lasagna, veal, and chicken marsala. The entire plate was amazing and everything tasted great. To top off dinner we were served some delicious spumoni. One thing my wife mentioned and liked was the fact that there wasn’t just one door to the entrance and there was a sort of smaller breezeway to walk through before you entered the restaurant. The significant aspect of this is that it cuts out the breeze or any cold weather coming through the door when you’re sitting down at your table. All in all the service was excellent, the food was 5 stars and the experience was enough that we’d definitely return.
The service, as usual, was superb, and absolute professional. Our waitress was so sweet and frequented our table often. We never felt neglected or forgotten. The food is darn near perfect and im still full and satisfied from this evening's dinner. The soup of the day was amazing and the chicken parmesan is what dreams are made of.
Our second time at Iozzo's and loved it even more than the first visit! Great food, ambiance and outstanding service.
Wonderful food and service. will defiantly return.
