Iozzo's Garden of Italy
Sarah was possibly the best server we could’ve had and it was an amazing dinner experience!
Our server, Dale, was outstanding. Dinner was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Great way to spend a Saturday evening.
We've been coming here for the last few years for all of our special occasions! It may not be the cheapest of options for a regular dinner by all means, but instead it is my go to place for any sort of celebration or event! Two can eat quite well for around 60 dollars before tip, and still have three courses!
The servers and bartenders are by far some of the best I have ever been served by, and take their time to explain anything and everything to both new and returning diners if necessary.
15/10 will eat here every chance I get!
We had a great meal and good service. I thought the martinis were a bit pricey but they were delicious. I love their eggplant parmesan. The restaurant was crowded but with a reservation we were seated right away and the food was served in a timely manner. Love this restauarant!
I have been to IGI many times. Always such a well deserved treat. Our table service as exceptional, although my lasagna was burnt on the bottom, unable to even cut through bottom layer, very dried out. My freshly made cocktail was very nice. Hope my next dinner selection is better quality, than what was served for a Friday night date night. My homemade lasagna was a better value.
Katie... please taste test what leaves the kitchen before serving to your customers on occasion..
Great food and service was great!
Service was spectacular - attentive without being overbearing. Very personable and knowledgeable. Food was incredible. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t LOVE!
My favorite restaurant when having lunch in the city.
Great food and ambiance. Reservations and parking are icing on the cake.
It was amazing!!!! I loved the atmosphere and it was gorgeous inside and out. Very romantic I loved it!!!
My fiancé and I came in for our Valentines Day dinner and everything was perfect (again). Our only other visit was the night we got engaged and we had to come again, and we’re so glad we did. Service was perfect, food was incredible and the ambiance is always relaxed. Portions are enough for dinner and lunch the next day, and they have vegetarian-friendly options (yay!). Love this place and always recommend it.
I made reservations for my wife and I to enjoy dinner for Valentine’s Day. In true procrastinating fashion, I waited until the week of the holiday to reserve a table. Luckily there was a 7:45 available. This restaurant seemed like a hidden treasure right outside of downtown when we arrived. We were seated promptly when we walked in and I gave my name. The first thing I noticed was the style and character of Iozzos when I walked in. It had a nice little elegant/fancy presence with a touch of that Italian character. Our waiter “Dale” was a pleasant person and he acknowledged us in an appropriate time and went over the details of the menu and drinks throughly well. There was bread and a nice little sauce plate of butter to start off with. I noticed that the prices per the menu seemed to be fair and in order for what you were getting. There were lower prices for basic entrees and they also had higher prices for more quality entrees as well. I started off with Italian wedding soup with meatballs and the taste was just right. My wife had the soup of the day that came with the sampler platter and she enjoyed it as well. We ordered the sampler platter that came with lasagna, veal, and chicken marsala. The entire plate was amazing and everything tasted great. To top off dinner we were served some delicious spumoni. One thing my wife mentioned and liked was the fact that there wasn’t just one door to the entrance and there was a sort of smaller breezeway to walk through before you entered the restaurant. The significant aspect of this is that it cuts out the breeze or any cold weather coming through the door when you’re sitting down at your table. All in all the service was excellent, the food was 5 stars and the experience was enough that we’d definitely return.
The service, as usual, was superb, and absolute professional. Our waitress was so sweet and frequented our table often. We never felt neglected or forgotten. The food is darn near perfect and im still full and satisfied from this evening's dinner. The soup of the day was amazing and the chicken parmesan is what dreams are made of.
Our second time at Iozzo's and loved it even more than the first visit! Great food, ambiance and outstanding service.
Wonderful food and service. will defiantly return.
honest assessment of the meal.
Veal Parmesan - Veal was paper thin. Veal was overcooked and appeared to be cooked in old oil. The Veal was so burnt i could pick it up and break it apart with my hand. the pasta was slightly overcooked. the tomato sauce was fresh.
Chicken Picata - good flavor. chicken was supposed to be sauteed but the texture was as if it had been boiled. This can occur when to much wine or chicken broth is added to the sauteed chick.
gnoccni with alfredo sauce - good flavor. perfect for my 11 year old daughter.
We dine at Iozzos quite a bit, but generally in the months when the patio area is open. The food is always very good and the wait staff vey polite, but the noise level inside is simply way too much for my wife and I. This is true no matter what time of year we dine inside. From now on when the patio area is closed we will be ordering pickup.
My experience was amazing. From the service to the food to the wine, perfection. Thank you for such an amazing night!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. It was special to have a member of the founding family serve us.
We had chicken piccata and chicken Marsala entrees-both well-prepared and delicious. The cannolis were great but the chocolate sauce was a bit overboard. The server was attentive and personable.
First time dining. Great service from all. The food was well prepared and tasty. Classic Italian restaurant with the expected atmosphere. Would recommend for all occasions. We dined prior to a basketball game and it was perfect.
Iozzo's was great for our date night. We were in Indianapolis for just one night and it was time well spent at this restaurant. It's an intimate setting and was very busy on Saturday night, so you'll need a reservation.
My favorite Italian restaurant in the world. It will be yours too.
Hidden gem of a restaurant. Wonderful food. The limoncello flute dessert was heavenly.
We are never disappointed with the service or the food! We love the place so much that we even had our rehearsal dinner here! The brûlée cheesecake was a perfect finish to our dinner.
She had the lobster ravioli and loved it. I had the pork ragu and it was fantastic. It fed me for lunch the next day as well.
Server and food were amazing!!
Love the place and have made it a traditional dining spot!
Food was good! The service was excellent, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks came promptly. Very good atmosphere but the lighting was a bit too dim.
A wonderful experience as always. Our server was great.
The staff did an excellent job. Katie wS so helpful with our special evening. All the meals were delicious!
Iozzo's is undoubtedly the BEST hidden gem in Indy. My go to for special occasions, big or small. The food is delicious and there is something for everyone! The Black & Bleu Gnocchi is flavorful and tender, while the Lasagna (my personal fave) is a generous portion with half in bolognese sauce and the other in alfredo. I've yet to find another restaurant with lasagna half as good.
Another great meal and service!
I enjoy going to Iozzo's because they are always so friendly and the food is great. They always email me with the updated menu. When I was working I took large groups for different parties and they always took the best care of me. The menu always has something for everyone. I have been there for lunch and for dinner and I can't complain about the prices or the verity of food and drinks.
Evening and food wonderful. Wine selection during Devour was great plus good price.
Food and service were great.First time I had been there would definitely go back
The Best in town!
The food, atmosphere and service are always great!
Delicious as usual!
This might be our new favorite Italian restaurant in Indy. Nice to have not have to pay for parking and away from the crowds you can find in other areas of downtown Indy. Talked to a friend about our experience and he said he and his wife love the place. Went there during the Winter Devour Downtown and the we felt like we got great food for the price we payed. Our service was great too. Can't miss at this place. Want to go back soon and try some other items on the menu. Thanks Iozzo's Garden of Italy for a wonderful dinning experience.
Loved our meal and our service from Sarah was outstanding!! One of our favorite places!
