Honey Walnut Prawns
Lightly battered jumbo prawns are dressed with glazed walnuts pineapple and lychee fruit in an elegant honey cream sauce. Served over crispy sweet potato. An Indochine favorite
We were very excited to try this restaurant. Service and food was just ok. Was expecting it to be better than it was. They also forgot one of our dishes and we didn't get it until the end of our meal. This will probably our one and only time eating here.
The food was barely warm when we got it. The order was submitted incorrectly for one of my guests. We had to send that dish back. I had to wait a long time after I returned my Honey Walnut Prawns because they were not good. The manager came to our table, but really did not seem as if he knew how to handle the issue. He stated, "Well, not everything was bad!" We sent back another dish. The plus side was they gave us some desserts for free and the Orange Chicken was good. This is not the same Indochine I remember. The food in the past was excellent.
The food was delicious. The main course took a minute to come though. The waitress was friendly but didn't really check in with us. But everything else was awesome.
Good food. Good service. Parking was not a problem for us although we arrived early (before 5:30). There is also a large lot across Pacific.
The food was delicious, with generous portions enough to have a second meal at home the next day. Our server was personable and helpful. We will definitely return.
Seemed a bit overwhelmed by business so service was a little slow but attentive, professional, and friendly. Food was excellent.
We remember dining at Indochine frequently pre-pandemic so when our daughter came to visit us from New York we thought it would be a good place to celebrate with her. We were mistaken. This was not the same restaurant we had attended in the past! The ambiance hasn't changed and was the best part of our visit. However, the food and service have greatly suffered. We hoped for a leisurely meal to include drinks and an appetizer but somehow I sensed a problem from the demeanor of our server. So, I specifically asked her if we could enjoy our drinks and an appetizer before the main dishes were served. She didn't listen. When our drinks and appetizers finally arrived, we only had time for a quick bite and sip before the main dishes were brought in. Since the mains we ordered included Crispy Fish and Glazed Walnut Prawns, we felt we couldn't wait for them to get cold and soggy so we set aside our appetizer. That was another mistake. The food was awful -- nothing like it used to be. We should have just had drinks and an appetizer and left. They were both good.
It's sad to see a fine restaurant deteriorate to this point.
We will not be back!
Always a wonderful experience! Great service and delicious food
Beautiful ambiance, attentive service, delicious food, varied menu choices, large portions.
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve at Indochine. Our food was delicious and our cocktails were well prepared. Candace, our server, was excellent. Indochine has my favorite chicken pad Thai and it did not disappoint. My husband had the pork adobo and it was also very tasty.
Great tasting food always‼️
The menu has been modified due to supply issues but the items they are serving are outstanding. The restaurant was fairly busy but our server was efficient and knowledgeable. Cocktails are creative very well done.
It ain’t what it used to be. My honey walnut prawns were very disappointing- dry walnuts, unusual additions such as French fries under the dish. Where was the honey. Appetizers were saved by the sauces. My daughter took one bite of her calamari and stopped eating it. Hubby liked his fish dish. Moving on.
Great turnout! The food was excellent (as usual) and the 21st Anniversary Dinner turned amazing. I put in the notes I would like a floral arrangement with rose petals on the table and the waiter made it happen even better than I could’ve imagined!
We live in Lacey, so we left a bit early ( in case of traffic) to make it to the restaurant on time, and ended up arriving about 20 minutes before the scheduled reservation. Not a problem! The hostess sat us and the table was amazing, as mentioned before! All of the staff made us feel very welcome and tended to our order in a very timely manner. The food was delightful and abundant. 😁 Filled us up with plenty to take home. If you sip 🍸 the Coconut Martini is highly recommended 😎
The ambience was superb as well with the lightning just right and the booth we were sat at being nice and intimate with lots of privacy. All in all we will be back to celebrate many other occasions as well as to treat friends and family in the future. Highly recommended to dine here in my experience!
After a sort of rude brush off by the bar hostess at the beginning, we had a good experience. Food is always good at Indochine and Geoffrey provided impeccable service!
Enjoyed the food. Will be back once the weather goes back to normal!
Their Orange chicken is the best I have ever had. It was an amazing Experience
It wasn’t “amazing” like I remember from a few years ago. The waitress wasn’t very knowledgeable. Asked about plain rice for the Mongolian Beef, never got it. Nice atmosphere though!
You can't go wrong with the food or drink menu, I've tried just about everything and they never disappoint!
Great food, service and ambiance!
Fabulous in every way!
Had family from out of town and enjoyed a “large party” room for visiting. Server was very good as was the food.
We ordered fresh spring rolls, Mongolian Beef and Coconut Prawns. We were a little disappointed. The prawns were good but it came with about a tablespoon of sweet potatoes and that was it. The beef was very average and the rice had to be ordered separately. The spring rolls had a nice flavor but the outside was very rubbery. We thought that for what we got, the restaurant was overpriced. Nice atmosphere though!
We typically love Indochine. And don't get me wrong, we still do. But this experience was not the best. The service was definitely lacking (lack of silverware, lack of attentiveness to the table while staff just stood around) and just didn't seem to really care. A couple of the dishes we had were not as good as would have expected them to be based on several previous dining experiences there, so that was a little disappointing. But we still love Indochine and will go back.
Usually great service but this time was awful! Waitress didn’t even greet us until 12 minutes after we sat down. Service didn’t get better after she finally came to our table. I asked for the bill when I ordered my dessert because we wouldn’t see her again for awhile dessert came but the bill didn’t we finished dessert still no bill finally we just got up and went to the front yo pay. The waitress should’ve been a greeter because she wasn’t waiting on us. Hopefully this was a one time thing because I love this restaurant.
Tiger cry beef salad lacked the fresh lime taste
Was a favorite years ago, went back with my wife, menu is different, no big deal, prices were not listed, drinks dessert and the appetizers were great, main dishes were very lack luster in my wife's case, and just not very good for my end of things. Two alcoholic drinks two regular drinks two entrees an appetizer and one dessert ran us over $120 dollars, which I would be okay with had the entrees been any sort of worth it.
Birthday dinner.. order was made wrong
Very good food, Great service, quick, attentive and professional. They don’t make excuses! Labor shortage etc. They simply provide excellent service and food. Food within 22 minutes, drinks right away!
We have dined a few times at Indochine in downtown Tacoma. This was our first visit since the pandemic arrived in 2020. Tje food was as good (if not better) than ever.
One noticeable change is a switch from a "communal tip" that used to be the standard. Previously, the restaurant applied a percentage to the ticket total that was split among all staff. Now, you can tip whatever you want based on your own experience. We applaud this change.
One thing we don't appreciate is that the current menu has no prices. (Well, actually, I think one item had a price -- probably a fluke. We did not ask the server about pricing and just took our chances. That turned out to be okay. However, it was not what we expected.
Our food also came almost all at the same time. We barely started our appetizers before the entrees arrived. Again, not ideal.
Great birthday! Room was cozy and private for our large group
Love this location, great food
Amazing flavors, am the food was outstanding, and the service was awesome
Serve Gelato cold, lol. Came to me leaking out side all over and liquid. It was good though.
Got in earlier than our reservation time, which was great! Menus given were not clean and left my hands sticky, which is gross. Food was good but the portions could be better for the price paid. $24 for 7 honey walnut shrimp with cold pineapple on top was very much not worth it. Tasted yummy, but expected more value overall.
We’ll worth the price, we walked about 15 minutes and would have walked even farther if needed to get here. The service and food was top notch and a great date location!
Great atmosphere, good food and drinks. Would have given 5 stars but main courses were delivered almost immediately after the appetizers
Nice atmosphere, great food, nice people, what's not to like!
It was a delight to be at the Indochine.
Great helpings of delicious food.
This was our second trip to Tacoma and Indochine, and we were not disappointed. This is some of the BEST Asian food that we have ever had! We highly recommend it. We loved Jeff, our waiter. He was outstanding and kept us entertained throughout our dinner. We hope to be through Tacoma again and would definitely return.
