I booked a table for 5 for an early Mother's Day dinner. I hate dealing with the chaos of crowds, reservations that are never on time, and the semi attentive service associated with same day occasion dinners.
Arriving on time at 6:45, we were promptly seated, In the middle of the restaurant, which was nice and our server arrived within a few minutes after. He took our drink order, told us a few of the specials.
Being our first time there, and reading reviews and looking at pictures of entrees, I ordered everything so it could be shared with the table. I ordered bacon (2 orders), octopus, oysters as the appetizer. For entrees, the porterhouse for 2, Wagu skirt steak, linguini with clams, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, cream spinach and mac n cheese.
The appetizers were sized for one, definitely not as sharable with more than 2 people per order. The entrees were as depicted in the photos, nice portions, and again, shareable with maybe 3 or 4, depending on the scale of "eaters" you have.
I had asked our waiter if what we ordered would be enough for everyone, with both appetizers and entrees, and he said it would be enough, but after the entrees arrived, we should have ordered one more to share. It wasn't enough food to make everyone "full" where you need to un button your pants, just satisified and not hungry, if that makes sense. If you are going with a party of 4 or more, I'd suggest to order more.
One plus, both appetizers and entrees arrived within 15-20 minutes of ordering. Not a long wait at all.
The restuarant wasn't insanely busy, about 1 waiter for 4-6 tables, which IMO was manageable. Our waiter had our table for 5, 1 table for 4, and maybe 3 tables of 2 to attend.
He wasn't as attentive as I would have prefered, only checking on us 2x during dinner service, which was a little dissappointing.
I'd give it a 2nd go on a regular night, I'd like to try a few other items on the menu that looked great at other tables. The food was A+.
