Waiter was awesome!! Food was amazing!
Absolutely delicious food and exceptional service
Mossimo our server gave us exceptional service. His recommendations were perfect and we will definitely be back again. Our favorite restaurant in the area.
Server was awesome!! The Veal was a little over cooked.
Everything was perfect! We will definitely be back!
Amazing food and service.
Great Service, Food, and Setting. Very pleased with everything.
Excellent service and attention to detail. It’s a phenomenal restaurant and an exceptional dining experience!
Great food, our server was Massimo and he was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly and with enthusiasm that the food deserved. Great experience with the Chef’s tasting!
Food was spectacular. Service was impeccable. Best dinner we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.
We were sitting outside in a white tent which was fine for us. The heaters did an amazing job and we were comfortable without jackets. The noise from the street only interrupted us once, but that is worth it for the food. Service was amazing and everyone to the time to answer questions and the chef was kind enough to introduce his dishes when we ordered the tasting menu. I went to this hotel on a package with dinner and breakfast included and it was delicious. It ruined everyday meals for me and I hope to splurge and eat there again!
Excellent food with exceptional service!
Wonderful atmosphere with a stellar wait staff. The service and food was incredible.
I throughly enjoyed my time. The staff were very hospitable and welcome. I dined within the restaurant and expressed that I had gluten, soy and dairy allergens. They made sure all of my food was handled accordingly and still made me feel welcomed. That means a lot because I don't always experience that. The in room massage was also amazing and I loved it!
Bolognese tasted like overly oily meat, didn’t not taste or sit well, very poor. Risotto was excellent. Server got an easy order wrong. Overpriced for a moderate experience.
31 years after I proposed to my wife here, we returned for a meal, given the impossible expectations for a date like this the restaurant, staff, chef lived up to the challenge .
Delicious meal with a very attentive and friendly waitstaff!
Great fresh food! Excellent service too.
The food was tasty with very friendly staff. We came with a deal from Offline Raleigh that made the dinner meal a better value. The tall, slender glasses can make drinking difficult--if you have foam, good luck getting to any of it! Their focaccia is also thicker than the traditional Italian, which took us by surprise but still was good for dipping up the extra sauce.
We went here on a date night and had the best time. My husband was raving about the Veal Saltimbocca. Recommend staying at the hotel after dinner so you can really enjoy the food and wine.
Expensive but delicious dinner. The heaters in the tent kept us pretty comfortable even on a cold night.
Nothing but kudos. The Chef's special, Ragu di Agnello, was spectacular. Great wine selection. The Tiramisu and cappuccino provided the perfect ending. Our server, Massimo, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. A very comfortable setting. Overall, a very pleasant and satisfying dining experience.
Excellent food and service. Price for the food quality and service was on point! We will be back.
Exceptional food. Order the fungi ravioli and the risotto. One of best I ever had.
We had a wonderful experience for my wife's birthday. The "Happy Birthday" on the dinner menu was a thoughtful touch. We really enjoyed our appetizers (meatballs, salad). They tasted very fresh and authentic. The entrée was decadent and delicious. My wife had the butternut squash ravioli and I had the tortellini. While I enjoyed my tortellini, the ravioli was out of this world! We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and some after dinner cocktails. Our waiter was attentive and we felt taken care of. While the price of everything was expensive, it was certainly worth it for the special occasion. We look forward to dining at Il Palio in the future.
The food was delicious, our server was very personable and professional. The staff was diligent and friendly. We had a very enjoyable dining experience.
My one suggestion is that the overall decor in the dining room lacked personality and felt a bit underwhelming, especially compared to the great staff and meal. Perhaps time for a refresh.
Food very good, service was incredible, especially as the waiter was doubling as bartender too! COVID restrictions hamper the dining experience but it was still very good.
Food was fantastic and the customer service was top notch. Can’t wait to go back again!
Such an amazing dinner! We had cocktails and did the chef's tasting menu. Service was impeccable and every dish was delicious. Our favorite was the seafood in the spicy, red sauce! We had this in Italy a few years ago and loved it, but this dish was even better than I remember it being! Thank you again for such a fabulous evening, start to finish! We can't wait to come back!
Excellent food and service! We enjoyed our culinary adventure with Massimo. We would definitely return again.
Il Palio is a fantastic choice for any authentic Italian food enthusiast. All the pastas are handmade and all of the dishes are very traditional. You will not find modern flare or fusion styles here, which is a relief when looking for a classic Italian restaurant. The octopus was fantastic as well as the Bolognese. The wine selection is thorough and covers every major growing region in Italy plus some minor regions with fantastic wines.
I was very disappointed with Pollio. For the price you paid for a full serving and for the presentation you got, it was way overpriced. Very few customers but it was extremely noisy from the kitchen and we could’ve been seated in a much better place because the whole restaurant was wide open, nobody there. Instead we got placed by the kitchen with a server who could see us from the kitchen but would not come over to refill our tea unless we flagged her down, floor was wet near the table and nobody cleaned it up when we pointed it out, overall sorry service and a lousy experience. Way better Italian for a fourth of the cost at 411 West Franklin. Will be going there instead of here next time we wanted authentic Italian. This place sucked.
My wife and I love this restaurant and try to eat here whenever we are visiting the Chapel Hill area.
Loved the customization on the chef's tasting menu & the service.
Really good food and service. Would go back again.
Amazing birthday dinner.
Everything was such high quality
Waiter was amazing and was so confident in recommendations when we asked.
Everything he suggested was spot on!!
Brussel Sprouts were unbelievable and coffe rubbed filet could be cut with a fork it was so tender
For an Italian restaurant, the bread was awful. Perhaps as a result of the virus, the menu selections were sparse. We enjoyed the pasta Bolognaise, and the house Chianti!
It was my birthday and they treated my guests and me with great care. The food was wonderful with a great selection of Italian dishes. I will definitely be going back there again.
Enjoyed every bite, but do not care about the price if you eat here.
Attentive service, good food and atmosphere here at this restuarant.
