Entering Iaria's is like taking a step back in time...not much has changed over the years. The restaurant and bar both offer booth seating and the decor consists mostly of family and celebrity pictures. The Food: sauces, meatballs, sausage, pizzas are made in house and weekly specials are offered. The Bar: cocktails, extensive wine list and craft beer are all available. It is a popular spot for locals and celebrities. It is a great location for a small get together, business luncheon, holiday party or just a night out. Iaria's Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food was good and the atmosphere was cool. Service was pretty good. I rated the noise level moderate simply cause there were a couple of big groups that made it noisy. The meatballs were slammin. The red sauce was good. The grouper was good except it was drowning in a pool of sauce which would have been better on the side as a dipping sauce. My wife had linguine Alfredo that was tasty. A real cannoli was great. I look forward to trying different dishes. Didn’t look much from the outside, but definitely my kind of place on the inside. Good place.
The food at this restaurant is always very good and hot when it is served. We enjoy coming with friends and family to enjoy a delicious authentic Italian meal. It is a fancy atmosphere but it is just good food. Our server was very attentive and we got our food in a timely fashion. It is located close to downtown and is very easy to get to off Fletcher Avenue exit.
The staff and service was exceptional! Indy Crash women's football was in on Friday night for coaches recruiting, and we really enjoyed it. The bartender was friendly and made sure we got a great seat in the bar, so we could watch the hockey game, too. Our server was fantastic--funny, friendly, fast and patient. Everyone was great! We will continue to have our coaches dinners here. Thanks!
ThiS is a pretty small restaurant, so I'd recommend reservations. We had early reservation and were surprised by the number of people in the parking lot waiting for the place to open.
The blue cheese and ranch dressings are delicious, salads were fresh. The lasagna is over-powered by the cheese. This might not be a bad thing for you, I prefer more meat, cheese and sauce complimenting each other. This is a family restaurant. If you want good comfort Italian food it's a place to try. If you want ambience and food presentation, seek out a higher end place. Overall. The dinner was enjoyable.
My family and I drove from Bloomington IN (about an hour driving distance) to eat here. We were looking to find a good Italian restaurant. I saw ratings for Iarias on the internet, and we decided to give it a try. We were definitely not disappointed. We all had the Veal Parmesan, and all agreed it is the best veal we had ever eaten. We have had veal in various places, but this was by far my favorite, we will definitely be making another trip to eat at Iarias in the near future.
Service and staff are great and I enjoyed the retro vibe. Food is edible but not great. Paid over $12.00 for a plate of over-sauced penne topped with ragu, 1 meatball, and 1 rather small sausage link and what I'm sure was shredded mozzarella. The whole thing was "baked" under a broiler. The whole dish tasted like something I could make at home with a jar of Prego, a bag of mozzarella, and some Italian sausage. My dining companion liked his dish which was the chicken Parmesan. Perhaps dishes which do not emphasize pasta are better. I've eaten here 3-4 other times with a similar experience. I doubt I'll be back.
