Our server Valina was out of this world. She was incredible she did everything above and beyond to make the evening memorable.
It was a great meal, but I was hoping for larger portions! Still enjoyed!
Loved our server, drinks, apps and dessert. Mains were the least exciting part of the meal.
Everything we hoped it would be. Chris was a great server and made the experience that much better! Great touch to put “happy anniversary” for us on the menu we were able to take with us. Best in Charleston!
It 👏🏻 was 👏🏻 FABULOUS 👏🏻!!!
Simply outstanding! Southern food elevated. The cornbread is out of this world! Go many times if you can!
OK Southern fare- nothing special
Our experience was great from start to finish! Your bartender and wait staff were terrific … fun, knowledgeable, attentive. Food was delicious. We had a very fun evening.
Amazing service, innovative food! Unbelievable!!!!
Overrated , overpriced , but good service
Our waiter was fine, but not very attentive. The food was average and had a steak that was undercooked with a large vein throughout. They did take it back and give me another, but still tough and undercooked. They did take the steak off the final bill.
I think the hype has outpaced the actual restaurant experience and food at Husk. It was fairly disappointing.
Wonderful experience and ambience and excellent food! The duck was amazing!
unique seasonal take on southern classics.enjoyed our meal. beautiful setting in charleston.
Lettuce wrap appetizer was delicious but not as spicy as I had hoped. My striploin steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, tender and juicy and seasoned perfectly. My wife's snapper was also cooked perfectly and was delicious. Our server Brenda was attentive and the other staff were very prompt at filling water and pre-bussing our table. The cheesecake was more like a custard but was delectable and the presentation of all our courses was spectacular. Our experience was so wonderful we went back for drinks and fried green tomatoes after walking around town.
The server was rude, the salads were ok but the entrees were very disappointing. We went since our friend highly recommended it. Definitely will not go back nor would we recommend anyone to try it. It was our anniversary and flew in from Ohio this week. We couldn’t get any other time to book this supposedly famous restaurant so we got a 5pm reservation- 20 min after we landed. They were nice enough when I called to tell them we would be 15 min late, but that was the extent of hospitality we experienced.
Food was amazing! Cinnamon roll, fried chicken and ribs. We will be back.
It’s good food (not great) a little too hyped but on the fence to recommend or not. Drinks weren’t very good but worth giving a try…….. however having to book weeks in advance is WAY overrated (and yes we have traveled the world and eaten at many Michelin restaurants).
Literally, the best meal we've ever had! We had shrimp, "deviled" pimento cheese, vertical roots, duck leg, catfish and cheesecake & pecan tart for dessert. Duck leg for the win!
It was great. We would highly recommend it to anyone.
Perfect setting. I really enjoyed the feeling inside the restaurant
Delicious food and cocktails. We were just a tad disappointed that the patio appetizers aren’t available in the dining room. But delicious meal nonetheless. Best duck confit I’ve tasted hands down.
Food was unbelievable! Had the steak.
Loved everything about Husk. From the food to the ambiance to the service - had such an enjoyable experience!
Suggestion for Husk…..provide warm wash cloths or finger bowls for patrons who order the shrimp appetizer as I had to peel them and left with sticky, dirty fingers.
Excellent food & service!! We had an incredible meal, the Dragoon punch was delicious & our waiter Chris was wonderful & made us feel right at home.
Good but not great.
We loved everything about our dining experience, including the happy anniversary message on our menu.
Birthday celebration and restaurant was accommodating to changing our reservation
Food is fabulous! Very fresh and seasonal. The oeanut butter chocolate pie for dessert was outstanding
One of the most fun nights ever! Amazing food, great service and terrific ambience!
We booked reservations well in advance. We arrived a few minutes early but were seated by our reservation time. The atmosphere was great (we weee on the second level). The wait staff was awesome and the food was outstanding. We had a great experience and will return when in Charleston again
Second time . Really a great experience .
First time server - Vilda was outstanding. You should promote if possible.
Also your prices are impressive . Really quite low considering the outstanding experience . We live in Charleston so will be back soon
Overall, it was a great meal at Husk. If eating some of the best local/seasonal food in Charleston is important to you, Husk should be on your radar.
Husk is a very pretty restaurant. Rustic/a lot of character on the outside and very modern and fancy inside. We chose to sit outside.
Our party of 2 had 3 appetizers, 2 mains and 2 desserts and a handful of drinks (seemed to be the right amount of food for us). The best item we had to eat all night were the Royal Red shrimp. They were crazy good. You must get those if you come to Husk.
Other appetizers - we had the panzanella salad (my wife loved, I wasn’t crazy about) and the pork lettuce wraps (we both liked a lot)
Our mains were the catfish (nothing mind blowing, just very simple and tasty) and the chicken/gnocchi dish which was perfectly cooked/delicious/great flavor.
The desserts were very good too. We had the peanut butter pie and the squash cheesecake. Both excellent.
Again, overall a great meal.
The food and service was amazing ! The food was very unique and we loved everything we tried.
Service was knowledgeable and attentive. We had hyped up the meal prior based on what we saw from former chef on a Chefs Table episode. The pork lettuce wraps exceeded all possible expectations. So flavorful!!
We also ordered the chicken wings, expecting that they would have some sweet and spice ( that was what they were called). They were good, nicely seasoned but no heat with perfect stickiness. Sea bass had ‘rice’ which was delicious. The ‘rice’ seemed like a tiny white bean and was great. Hubby had the steak which was perfectly executed. The sauce and tomato, potato, zucchini medley served over it fantastic. We finished the meal w pecan tart. A huge slice that was a not overly sweet but full of pecans. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. Great meal.
This restaurant lives up to the hype. It's not a big menu, but has wonderful, freshly prepared meals. We only were able to get a 5:00 reservation so plan ahead. We ate outside on the upper deck patio which was delightful. This is an old house that was converted to a restaurant. My husband had the chicken and I had the snapper. Both were prepared to perfection. We split the chocolate cake for dessert even though we were very full from our meals. The service was excellent as well. P.S. We learned that the restaurant has a walk up patio/bar too that has drinks and a small menu of more casual items. I will try that on my next visit to Charleston.
The hostess that greeted us was not very friendly. It took a bit of us sitting there to get drinks (water). We got the pimento cheese appetizer and for $12 I was less than impressed- the crackers were hard as a rock- I think they could do something better with the cheese.
The accommodated my request to get the fried chicken off the bar menu for my 10 year old. I got the pork wrapped in pork belly…. It was AMAZING, so flavorful and tender- I was looking for more vegetables. And with the fried chicken no side came with it and none were available. I like my meat but I love a good vegetable to accompany it. Service was very good.
There is only 1 stall restroom for this whole place.
I have been wanting to go to Husk since it opened and I’m very happy I did but I could definitely see some improvements.
The service was excellent. It was difficult to carry on a conversation as the noise level is pretty high. There were four of us- three enjoyed their meals- one said it was ok. Desserts were wonderful.
