Was sat in the upstairs part of the cocktail lounge. The only table in there. Server came by, did not introduce herself by name. Was “pleasant” but had very little interest in doing anything besides taking an order from us. Started with the Wood Fired Oysters, which came out cold. I asked the server if they should be hot, to which she replied “they should be room temperature”... if I’m wrong I apologize, but it seems like if something is called “wood fired” it should at the very least be served warm. She asked if we wanted to have them put back into the oven... no I would not like oysters or any seafood cooked twice. She took the dish from us, no apology, made us feel like an inconvenience. Ordered a martini, did not have Belvedere or blue cheese olives. Went with Tito’s, martini came out in very fashionable coupe style glass. And was made very well. Had the duck confit and the mrs has the chicken. Both entrees were fantastic. Server did check back on us, seemingly begrudgingly. Again the entrees were unreal, some of the better food I’ve had in a while. Rest of the meal went over fine. The oysters were taken off the bill, which was nice, but the way it was handled left a bad impression. If I’m spending $200 on a dinner, I would appreciate not being made to feel stupid for asking if a dish is supposed to be hot. No manager ever came by. Seemed like the hospitality was lacking...
Fantastic!! Taking simple ingredients and turning them into a spectacular dish! Service was outstanding also!
Great 40th anniversary dinner. Knowledgeable staff, relaxing room, wonderful food.
Loved it! Shelby is the best bartender!
Great place! Highly recommend. We are a bit food snobby, and this surpassed expectations. Wanted southern food, as we were visiting from up north. This was delicious, creative, southern food made with fresh local ingredients. Portions were perfect. Everything was superb!
Went for brunch. Food and service were amazing and prices very reasonable. One of my favorites so far!
The lettuce wraps were delicious!
Loved our dinner at Husk! Food and atmosphere were amazing. We got to sit right in front of the kitchen so we were able to watch them plate the dishes. Our waiter; however, seemed to not give us the attention he gave other tables. Kinda dismissive, took forever to give us the bill, didn’t explain dishes well or give us an introduction about the menu. I would’ve have expected more from the service
Was only able to reserve an early dinner time. Place is big and had a lot of open tables (socially distant) so not sure why I couldn't get a later time slot. Dinner was very good. Entrees we had were the NC chicken, Heritage Pork and Catfish. All were flavorful and just the right portion size. The appetizers of skillet cornbread and pork lettuce wraps were tasty (although the pork lettuce wraps come 3 to the plate so since there were 4 of us, we had to buy another wrap!). Our server was excellent and very attentive. The Manhattan and Old Fashioned drinks were well made and very nice.
One of the best meals I have had! Everything we had was fantastic, they seated us early, service was great! We will be back!
After walking by Husk in Charleston a number of times on Queen Street and seeing Netflix's Chef's Table season six, episode four with Chef Sean Brock, I thought I would go for the first time. I made my reservation a month before. The morning of the reservation I had an issue so I called and they were able to accommodate my reservation to be at dinner instead of brunch even though they were full that evening. The service was very good by being friendly, attentive, and professional. The food and drink were excellent. Very fresh and flavorful from the ingredients of the day since their menu changes daily.
If you want to be wowed, make a reservation at Husk.
Food was good service was slow
Definitely one of best meals I’ve had in a longtime. Oysters were off the charts and I was hesitant to order steak, but glad I did.
Wonderful menu!! Great atmoshere and great service. 5 stars *!!!!
Burger was just okay...probably should have ordered something else.
Food was amazing, best in town must visit go!!
Everything about this place is awesome, bar selection and the secret menu if you want something of the menu
My catfish was perfectly fried, outstanding, the rice was just fair, the collards were just ok. The Riesling was not very good, if your only offering one I think choosing a German one would be a better decision. The dessert menu was tiny and uninspired.
My husbands chicken was also perfectly tender and flavorful especially for a breast, house made pasta was great, side undercooked.
Server was very knowledgeable and very helpful.
Wonderful service and food
The food was fantastic! Our service was wonderful. They pay attention to detail here. Loved the experience!
We had a wonderful time and the food overall was delicious, unfortunately my dish was very salty and I couldn’t eat it. But appetizers were phenomenal and my husband’s mais dish was delicious. We will try again next time we are in Charleston
Celebrated birthdays. Husk was the perfect spot! If you can get into the bar before dinner it’s AMAZING! Cozy and elegant atmosphere. Great service!
The waiter was very knowledgeable, and the food was excellent. I loved the oysters!
A wonderful spot in Charleston! The food was delicious, our waiter was phenomenal and was so excited about every single dish on the menu. The ambiance of the restaurant was filled with southern charm. I highly recommend their Goat Cheese Cheesecake ( I forgot the official name) as a sweet ending to the experience at Husk!
Outstanding food and service on our second visit to Husk.
The food was scrumptious. Plated nicely. It was our anniversary and we were wished happy anniversary.
This was one of the best brunches I’ve ever had! The flavors and attention to detail were fantastic. Service was great, and the restaurant was very charming. Can’t wait to return!
I’m a Charleston resident and have always enjoyed dining at Husk. We had originally had a party of 5, but arrived with 3 people as the others could not make it last minute. Was told from the hostess, that this changes things. The dinner service and the food was great, as usual. Was upset that I booked my reservation a month and a half out, and was given a table in the courtyard. Normally this would have been fine, but it was 45 degrees out. Even with space heaters, it was freezing. We could see our breath as we chatted at dinner. Was disappointed to have looked forward to this dinner for so long, and to not enjoy because we weren’t comfortable. Spent close to $225 at dinner and left very disappointed with this visit.
We drove to Charleston to celebrate a Birthday week
As expected - the service/food were magnificent
We tried two different starters - the “Panzenella and Wraps
The main courses of Duck Confit and Catfish were outstanding
We greatly appreciated the recognition of the birthday and the attention to detail and service provided. We truly enjoyed our night - and the surprise that our children paid fir dinner too!
Great as always - and worth the drive from GA. to SC
Server Brian was fantastic. Very attentive and made great recommendations. Loved the meal we had and would definitely come back in the future.
Great food, setting and service. I am looking for to returning!!
One of the best meals we've had in a long time. Enjoyed every single bite. Service was outstanding, loved them ambience, can't wait to go back!
We had a remarkable experience and would recommend without hesitation. It exceeded expectations
Highly anticipated evening for my wife and I and Husk did not disappoint. We had duck and red shrimp and it was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to returning again.
We were thrilled and excited to eat at Husk .... so much so we made reservations for their Saturday brunch ... everything about our experience was outstanding! Thank You Husk !!
We had indoor dining and were seated promptly. Staff was attentive, but the number of dinner choices was rather limited. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. Our favorite of the night was the Charleston Light Dragoon's Punch, a delightful concoction derived from a 1792 recipe. Would be perfect for a balmy, summer evening.
Husk went out of their way to make my birthday special. Food was AMAZING and so fast. Our server, Caleb, was so kind and attentive. We will definitely be back on our next visit.
We all know this is the best representation of the collective cuisines of the south, I don’t need to tell you how incredible everything here is.
I just want to reiterate the value of this meal. For such a thoughtful and perfect menu with impeccable, warm service... the price is astoundingly affordable.
Love you Husk!
First time for dinner there; had had lunch once before. Very enjoyable, would definitely recommend, and return next time in Charleston.
Food was fantastic and the service was great.
We have been going to HUSK for 4 years ... for cocktails. Some of the best in Charleston! We decided to finally try for a full experience and get appetizers and dinners. The meat board was 22 dollars and barely got any meat. Should have got cheese with that price. They woodfired oysters were awesome! That was really the only thing that was good. Our 2 entrées were a total of $65 and the portions were like 4 bites each. we spent 49 dollars on drinks and the rest on food equaling $175 and left hungry. Service was awesome! Ambiance was great, and the cocktails still stood up. Other than that, the food was meh, and would never go back for dinner.
