Husk - Charleston
Nice place physically. Pleasant , efficient staff. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Brought us some honey and hot sauce and said” try this on your cornbread it’s my favorite”. It was amazing. Food is interesting and inventive.
Went for lunch. Great service and food.
1st time to husk , expected a lot more. Wouldn’t make a point to return.
We were greeted warmly upon arrival and were seated in the upstairs dining area. Randy, our server, walked us through the menu selections and provided helpful suggestions. We split the fried cauliflower and little gem lettuce salad as starters - both were outstanding. My husband chose the chicken for his entree and I picked the tilefish. Both were OK - nothing outstanding - but adequate. We also ordered a skillet of the cornbread to share - cooked perfectly and served hot in a cast iron skillet. For me it was slightly too salty, but the texture was great. Loved the wine selection - especially the wine & soil descriptions and identifiers. The French press coffee was a great way to end the evening - the brownie dessert not so much. Overall the food was good, but the service and ambience were better and would bring us back.
Everyone at TeamLogic IT of Charleston, SC is a foodie - HUSK does not disappoint! A special thank you to our gracious server!
Fabulous service and decadent, artful local cuisine. Husk was recommended to us, and we highly recommend it to others.
One of the best meals ever. Thank you!
Our food was delicious and service was excellent. Dining room was lovely!
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had, in any restaurant anywhere
I went to husk with a friend of mine for a 30th birthday celebration. We were able to sit in the front room next to the fireplace. We loved the food and the ambiance was lovely. Highly recommend the shrimp rice. So delicious! Not pictured we also tried the Swiss roll as a dessert. While the roll and sherbet were delicious, I wasn’t a fan of the sesame nuts that were with the roll.
I was so excited to eat at Husk but found the whole experience underwhelming in spite of all the build up. We arrived on time for our early eveninf reservation and were seated in the cramped waiting area despite almost all tables being open and the host standing at the podium. We were then escorted to a table upstairs was a bit inconsiderate as I was carrying a small baby (but maybe they didn’t want a family on the ground floor for appearances?) the server seemed bored and rehearsed. The food was pleasant but decidedly our least favorite that we enjoyed over our long weekend in town.
Food was excellent . We will be back
We especially loved the panzanilla salad
My husband and I were there celebrating the first day of our honeymoon, and Husk was perfectly on theme. We had reservations and were sat immediately. They had put our special day on the individually printed menus, which was such a nice touch. Between drinks, an appetizer, two entrees and dessert everything was perfect. The service and ambiance were also perfect. Thank you, Husk!
BEST DINING EXPERIENCE IN CHARLESTON
Our server Heath was extremely well informed and passionate
about his mission at Husk. Made our lunch experience memorable.
Going back tomorrow for dinner. We are having dinner at FIG tonite...
What a lovely place, Charleston!
Nick was very helpful and knew the menu well. Unique wine selections. Food terrific.
We were very disappointed with Husk, especially knowing that it was among the most highly rated restaurants in Charleston. We both ordered the Southern Fried Chicken (lunch menu) which was highly touted in several reviews we read before our visit. The chicken was undercooked, and extremely spicy, akin to Buffalo chicken wings which should have been listed on the menu. We sent the undercooked portion back which was no problem, but unfortunately it was no better the second time around. The manager came over, apologized, and we were not charged for the entree. But interestingly enough, a diner next to us also sent the chicken back with the same problem, which would indicate that something is wrong in the Husk kitchen. We will not return to Husk any time soon.
We were so excited and booked way back in December for our trip. We were slightly disappointed with the food and service. The brisket sandwich was underwhelming and the appetizers were just okay. Our waiter seemed disinterested in us and was not welcoming compared to other servers we had during our trip to Charleston.
It was probably the best meal I have ever had. I got the strip steak with mashed potato balls and Brussels sprouts.
Was a good meal.
Food was good.
More variety needed
Still thinking about the pimento cheese! A well thought out dining experience from beginning to end.
Valentine’s Day lunch!
Every single vegetable we ate was undercooked. The food was seasoned well, but overall we were pretty let down.
Perfect as always! Every course, every suggested pairing, the entire experience - thoughtful and delicious from beginning to end.
Our waiter was phenomenal, food was delicious and there was a live band but it wasn’t too loud.
Great , fantastic.
Incredible. We had been to Husk Savannah previously and Charleston did not disappoint!
My experience was A+...love the shrimp and grits.... but my friends ordered the fried chicken. They commented that it had more "kick" than expected. If the wait staff had mentioned the increased spice they probably would have selected something else..
We have eaten here several times over the years for both lunch and dinner. While the food was good this time, I felt like Husk had lost its edge. Choices like fried chicken and shrimp and grits and two other options for lunch too boring to remember. Not exactly representative of the online sample menus.
Service was great, we were seated before our reservation. Tanya was very knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful for our guest with a gluten allergy. She made her feel super comfortable and confident ordering her meal. Food was outstanding and prompt. Thanks again Husk!
Excellent service, food and drinks. Can not wait to return!
Very Good. Tables not close and service was great.
Fantastic experience from the accommodation of a ground floor table to the meal and dessert recommendations. Food was spectacular.
We had a great lunch here while on vacation. The shrimp and grits were delicious and my husband had the brisket sandwich which he loved.
Menu changes every day. We were pleasantly surprised as to how good the food was. Everything was perfect. Receptionist could be little more pleasant.
Our first visit for this location. Did not disappoint!
