My expectations were much higher given that this is suggested on so many "must go to in Charleston" lists. Though the ingredients are quality, I simply didn't find this food that inspired and the menu quite limiting. It was good but didn't knock my socks off as I had expected.
We have waited a long time to get to Husk. It did not disappoint. The drinks were lovely, and the meals were tasty! The sleeper on the menu was the cookies, they were otherworldly! I’ve never had a better cookie in my entire life and I’m old! Thanks Husk!
Amazing meal and experience🙂
Such a great place! Best food, service and atmosphere!!
Second time there and it was even better than the first visit two years ago.
Husk did not disappoint! Unique cocktails, each dish was excellent. Our favorite dining experience in Charleston!
Made an early reservation to avoid the toddler's bedtime, but the place was still lively. Very interesting menu offering a variety of Southern cuisine. The corn fritters were fantastic. I had a glazed snapper that was exquisitely done; however, my wife ordered a steak, and even after sending it back once, they couldn't seem to get it to medium. For as fine a place as it was, it's hard to miss on the basics. Would still go back, but hoping for better execution next time.
Great food, wine and service. The price was right and the menu unique.
Menu selection was rather limited. Food was pretty good but a bit overpriced.
Our third time dining at Husk---they never disappoint!
Husk responded to our requests on seating because of Covid. They are very safety conscious.
My wife and I enjoyed the fried corn fritters very much. They were delicately crisp and the relish was a perfect aside. I had the sweet chili glazed snapper and it was prepared with skill. The pan fried cabbage and blackberries in a cilantro broth was a marriage of exceptional flavors. Ditto on the heritage pork, one of their signature dishes. The pork and the peas was Southern hospitality for the tastebuds.
Start with the dragoon punch and this meal will punctuate your visit to Charleston.
Excellent and unique food. Service was great. We sat in the “bar” and it was beautiful. Definitely a dinner that exceeded my expectations! Would recommend and also return!
Food was excellent. Server was extremely helpful and efficient.
Awesome place - great food and service. Very Covid aware. Safety is a priority here.
Great Great Greatest 👍
1st time here. We enjoyed ourselves. Fantastic food.
Food was inventive and the servers were attentive. We were offered to sit in the cocktail loft vs main dining room to get our table more quickly. The air con was freezing and the server did not address our request for it to be lowered.
Kevin was our waiter and recommended great options for our birthday celebration. He provided us great service and very attentive. We will definitely be back and have recommended Husk to our friends.
Just Go To Husk . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Period
Brunch was amazing! We got lucky and were able to get a reservation the night before. Definitely recommend the punch and the candied squash. Also if you can sit on the porch that’s the best.
Not what I expected. Service was poor. Food was good but not great.
We were underwhelmed by Husk. We’d heard so many great things but overall our experience was mediocre. We did enjoy the chicken wings and my husband’s steak was delicious (although tiny!). My chicken was under cooked with soggy skin and the pasta it came with was similar to what you’d find in a lean cuisine! We spent a pretty penny and both left hungry. We had much better experiences at other, less pricey places during our time in Charleston.
Everything was amazing!!!!!!!!! From our drinks to apps, dinner, drinks! :) everything was great and quite enough around us where I could head my husband speak.
All around excellent service! The Filet was awesome!
Great food and drinks, great location, great service.
We definitely thought the food was not worth the money. The oysters were very small and the pig ears which were highly recommended were big hard pieces of cartilage. Save your teeth on these.
First will start by saying the service was what you’d expect of a 5 star. Waiter was very attentive and quick with everything. That said. The food at Husk is seriously lacking. Do not get what all the hype is about.
We got their skillet bacon corn bread as an appetizer. It was burnt to a crisp on the bottom. My wife was hungry so she asked for honey and doused it in copious amounts to drown out the flavor. I did not touch my half. The waiter inquired as to why. Told him was burnt and he just took it away.
Dinner comes, Which we were super excited about as many know the reservations for this place can take months, having lost two reservations over course of last year due to kids having some kind of sickness last minute.
My wife ordered the snapper, which I can say was very very good. What you’d expect of a restaurant of Husks reputation.
I ordered the shrimp and grits a southern staple. I can honestly say they were the worst I’ve ever had (and have had a LOT). Whoever was the chef decided to only cook one side of the shrimp and Absolutely scorched them! They were RUBBER! If you were to drop them on the floor I’m sure they’d bounce up and right back in the bowl! The grits were absolutely water (if there were any).
I’m 41 years old I can honestly say this is the first meal in my life (and I have been out to a lot of restaurants) that I sent back!
I then got the chicken pasta dish. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Perfectly moist. The pasta however was a penne noodle that was so mushy you could feed it to a 1 month old and not fear them choking on it. The sauce and (supposedly fresh tomatoes) tastes exactly like Classico directly from a jar with no seasoning added at all.
If you’re from Charleston or the surrounding area, you probably have experienced this and know there are many better places to go. We’ve only lived here 3 years. Still venturing about.
If you are not from Charleston and visiting, looking to find that amazing perfect meal. Do yourself a
Date w my beau of 30 yrs. interior and ambiance waereg
Delicious food, cocktails and excellent service. Would highly recommend. Make sure to make a reservation in advance.
Ate at this restaurant in Savannah. Wanted to try the one in Charleston. It was just as amazing. Staff were very knowledgeable about the food and wine selection. Perfect portions. Very eclectic but not so much that you can’t find something to enjoy.
Delicious and unique. Great southern food in an amazing old house.
We were in Charleston for our annual vacation this week. As always we treated ourselves to an evening at Husk. It never disappoints. Excellent service. The food was fantastic and the drinks were perfect.
Live in ATL Visiting Daughter First time at Husk Can’t wait to come back
Appreciated the Safety Protocols too!
Awesome...husk burger and cocktails. My absolute favorite
fabulous dining experience!
Snapper was best fish entree I’ve ever eaten. Oysters were awesome. Overall, best meal we had on in Charleston during our trip. Definitely would recommend for anyone visiting Charleston.
I think the pig ears appetizer was my favorite. The other dishes were great too. The chocolate chip cookies were a bit disappointing, not like I was expecting, but overall, a great experience.
Promptly seated. Table was ready outside and with Hugh chairs as request. Excellent food. Our server Will was great.
Amazing food, nice table and a really good option to enjoy a memorable experience
