Established in 1879, Huber's is Portland's Oldest Restaurant. It was originally called the "Bureau Saloon". Mr. Huber was involved from the beginning as a bartender, bought out the original owner then changed the name to Huber's.
In the old days if you bought a drink you got a free turkey sandwich. This is how the turkey tradition started. Today Huber's cooks 150 lbs of turkey a day. It's Thanksgiving everyday at Huber's serving a traditional turkey dinner every day. We also serve Certified Angus Beef and fresh seafood. Huber's is also known for its famous Spanish Coffee. The drink is made table-side with great fanfare. It's is a lot of fun and very tasty. Come in and enjoy Old Portland at its best.

Delightful experience in old Portland establishment. Menu offered a number of choices to our liking. Though known for their roast turkey or ham dinners, it was the cobb salad and the steamed clams that we chose and heartily enjoyed. Finished with the famous Spanish Coffees prepared at the table with great flourish! We are native Portlanders who found the welcoming ambience of generations past. Highly recommend Huber’s for any occasion and to give guests a “taste” of Portland.

We had the house specialty of the turkey dinner and the half-n-half (turkey and ham) dinner. Both were excellent. Portions were good. Turkey dinner came with broccoli, sage dressing, mashed potatoes, beer bread, and cranberries. Also had their Spanish coffee - it was an entertaining presentation because they make it right at your table. And they use plenty of alcohol, so it was quite strong. If you want a delicious traditional turkey dinner, go to Huber's Cafe.

Consistently wonderful. Thanks for accommodating us by putting us in the back corner of the bar (much easier to hear one another for a larger group).

We enjoyed the restaurant with its history and decorations. I decided to take my wife to a special Valentines dinner in Portland as we live in Vancouver.
I was surprised that three other couples were seated 15 up to 30 minutes after we sat at our table and they received bread and butter to snack on. I had to request bread and butter and the same tables received their meals but took a full hour till we were served. The food was good but over priced. We heard so much about your restaurant but will not go back and not likely to recommend it.

Great restaurant great food great staff but they seated us in a 2 chair walk table with a corner pillar type fixiture behind each of our chairs and the bar 2 feet to the other side so it was cramped and it felt like we were sitting in the walkway

Spanish coffee' s were great. But not one of the staff members smiled or tried to engage in conversation, not only with our group but with other groups as well. Owner might as well of hired robots if he does not want the staff to engage with the customers.

This is always a stop for girls weekend. Gotta have Spanish coffee and the spinach and artichoke dip. Super fun atmosphere. It's loud, but there's a lot of energy!

Good food, unique environment, annoying magician.

The food at Huber's tends to be pretty standard American fare, but it's well prepared and presented. The back dining room is an experience all by itself -- it's a little like traveling back in time. The bar can make anything you want and the coffee drink is worth getting just to see them make it.

Not happy with the service. Waiter was not nice,he seemed irritated right off the bat. Busser was not nice either. We had to ask 3 different times for more coffee and hot water for tea. We even put our cups on the edge of the table like hint hint. We have been there now 3 times. The first 2 times were amazing but this last time was disappointing and it was my husband's 55th birthday.

Oldest restaurant in PDX! Classic menu, lots of food options, most of which (but not all) are top notch. Love watching a Spanish coffee being made. The noise level however was louder than any restaurant I've been to in a very long time--I could not hear my grandmother sitting across from me at all.
