It’s “Chinese inspired” food and gets by on dishing out large portions rather than on taste. As our first Chinese meal in this area, we were left disappointed and concerned at our chances of finding this cuisine in future.
Food was horrible. The place is apparently closing soon, so perhaps they stopped trying.
Its a shame that The Southlake location was sold and will close the end on June 2021. Loved this place, but not driving to Frisco or Dallas just for Friday dinner.
excellent food, both in quality and quantity. Would recommend highly.
Graduation lunch with family! Food was great, position sizes generous and the waiter was wonderful!
Food was horrible. Service was horrible. Atmosphere was horrible.
Worst service ever. She was irritated that she had to wait on us. Could not wait to give us the check and did not even offer dessert. Was not given a bag for my to go items. Restaurant was virtually empty and we were not there longer than our designated one hour limit. She should be fired!
Decided to go here for our Friday Night out. Food was good as always
Neither of our entrees was particularly good. The shrimp in my dish were tough and mealy while my companion's chicken dish was average.
Service was good and I appreciated that staff had masks on.
I would have given this restaurant (one of my favorites for celebrating my birthday) a higher score on the food, but this time, I tried the pork as my protein a noodle dish. Much to my disappointment, it was extremely overcooked and dry. I gave my husband some to try, and he described it as powdery. His noodles (chow fun) was a bit too burnt for his taste (my was acceptable). The proteins in the other dishes (chicken, beef, shrimp) were cooked fine. Only the pork needed help!!!
Celebrating our daughter’s birthday. Food was great, though we were disappointed they wanted to seat us close to other people in the bar when they had good tables with no one near in the larger dining area. It was fixed quickly, though, and we had a very nice meal. B
Our family loves going to Howard’s. Emma waited on us which means the service was awesome!!
Food was excellent. Sanitation and service were excellent
Waiter very charming. Everyone else enjoyed their dish, however my order wasn’t correct. I didn’t say anything and just ate my food. It was good just not what I ordered and expected.
Arrived at 9:15 they closed at 10, but it was apparent that they had no interest in serving us. After sitting for 13 minutes a server came by to get drink order and by that time we were ready to order but before we could open our mouth she was gone. Finally received our martinis and one was full and the other one was about 3/4. Seemed odd but I didn’t say anything. Placed our order and within about 5 minutes we had our cold appetizers. So disappointed. The dumplings were cold and soggy and the ribs were swimming in a cold bbq sauce. It was apparent the kitchen was closing down and with the servers sweeping under our feet it was time to speak up. They comped our food but not our martinis. At first that was fine but there was no sincere response to how we were treated. So I asked for manager and let him know how terrible our experience was from start to finish. He didn’t seem to care either so we left to go find another restaurant. We ended up at Harvest Hall in Grapevine and it was amazing.
Coming from the restaurant industry and going out to dinner at a minimum of 2 times per week, I can only count 1-3 times that I have been so upset with an experience. I do not recommend trying this place. It will probably be out of business soon.
I had the Vanilla Prawns, and the other three in our group each had a different entree. All were delicious.
I can't wait to go back.
The serve never prebussed the tables. There was 5 of us we ordered appetizers and still had those plates when our meal was dropped off. We asked for refills, she wasnt very attentive. The chocolate cake was hard and crispy. Her explanation was something was wrong with our freezer. One order of dumplings came out cold. It just wasn't a great experience.
Hate to say it, but it was awful. Service was terrible, food was OK, plates were dirty. Had to ask for every single thing we needed, and only got about half of it. Asked to see a manager about the dirty plates and he said it was because of the hard water. I told him we live down the street and our dishwasher seem to work with the water- then he said it was because his was a commercial dishwasher (??!!). I’m not sure if ownership or management has changed but sorry to say we will not be back.
The chicken wings were the best
Very clean and safe. Got seated promptly and away from other guests. Our server was friendly and attentive. Food was all spot on. Thank you for making our Christmas dinner a memorable one.
15 minutes early for our reservation and we were told that we would be 15 minutes late before seated after reservation time. They did get us in not long after we arrived. Our waiter was good. The food was not curry had a neither curry flavor nor a coconut flavor there was nothing sweet about it and nothing curry about it. What is the worst food I’ve ever had at this location and took my mother for a holiday treat. Very disappointing
The food and service were excellent. We will be returning soon.
We got seated promptly but the host was not very friendly.
The server was very open about how the restaurant had been very busy and he was exhausted.
Out of beef tenderloin, and a salad my wife ordered. Don’t remember the name.
The ginger sauce for the sea bass and bok Choy was blan.
The udon stir frybowl was ok other than only having 2 pieces of shrimp
Horrible service. Just unbelievable. Too many things went wrong from start to finish. Plus there were two screaming children playing and running around the restaurant at Will. The worst was that they had not spread the tables apart as per the law and we were seated next to three tables where we were practically on top of other people. No social distancing at all. We asked to be moved and we were but that shouldn’t have happened. It will be a long time before we come back. I tried to complain to the manager but he just told me the staff was new and walked off!
Everything was great. Food. Ambiance. Service. Forgot how nice this place is. Will def eat here again.
Great food! Tasty and with the authentic Chinese food flavor that is sorely lacking and so hard to find in the Fort Worth area! Will be going back for sure!
Excellent Asian cuisine, rapid turnaround for lunch -- hit the spot
Food was good and came out fairly quickly for our table of nine.
Great food and service. Thank you!!
Food was great! service, not so much. We had already finished appetizers and our drinks had not come out yet. Server forgot my husband's soup. After appetizers were cleared off the table our silverwares were taken too. main dish arrived but no silverware to eat it with. Had to wait a while until server came around for us to ask for some silverware.
We were seated in a booth directly next to the kitchen, all you could hear is the kitchen. The food was sub par for what I have known there before. My dish just tasted like salt. The egg roll was one of the worst I have had. We will not be back.
Great food and great service
I chose to have a birthday gathering here! The staff was attentive and the food was superb!! We are going back soon!!
Food temp was cool on every dish. This included the soup.
New Years Eve
We had reservations on New Year’s Eve and it seemed like we were a Bother to the hostess as soon as we walked in. We were able to immediately order appetizers and drinks. We were notified they were out of some of the appetizer order and had to change. We ordered our meals and then proceeds to wait an hour for the meal as all tables around ours were served. We asked about dinner 3 times prior to asking to see a a manager. The food finally
Came and it was cold. The plates were ice cold. We immediately asked for a manager and it took 15 minutes for one to come to our table. He had excuses and wanted to remake our meal. We had been there an hour and 15 minutes and none of us were in the mood to wait for them to screwup again. The manager discounted our meal 50% and we left having only eaten a few appetizers. The server was very inexperienced and never came back to check on drinks or water. We had to go to the bar to get our water glasses refilled. We will not be going back in the future.
The servies was terrible starting with the host who didn’t even realize anyone came in because he wasn’t anywhere to be found.
Simply an amazing experience. The food and service were amazing!
Great! Love the restaurant. Have dined there many times.
