Horatio's, as usual, was a very nice dining experience. My only complaints are minor. First, the prime rib we ordered was in short supply, apparently. We had to wait until another roast was ready. Our server, Sarah, kept us apprised of developments and provided excellent service. Lastly, the restaurant ran out of Creme Brulee.

Normally we have had a good experience at Horacio's; reason why we thought to try it for Thanksgiving dinner. However, it was too crowded last night for Thanksgiving dinner. It appeared the staff was tired by the time we had dinner at 7 pm. The food was pretty good, but they were running out of things by our dinner time such as cranberry sauce. The prices for the side dishes such as salad, dessert we not displayed in the Thanksgiving menu, so I was a bit surprised to see the total when the bill came. Please add pricing in the menu for each additional item. The service was mixed. We were first sat by the bar which was too loud with the sound of bottles getting thrown in the background, and patron screaming watching TV. When we told the first waitress, we wanted to move she did not seem she needed to help with that, so I asked her to get the host. No one came. I ran into one of the hosts and he helped us immediately. Once we moved to the back area the ambiance was better (less noisy), and that waitress was fine.

In all fairness I understand that Thanksgiving is a very busy time at the restaurant, but that being said you would expect at least basic service. This was our third year having Thanksgiving at Horatios. Fortunately the food was excellent. Unfortunately our server was working both sides of the restaurant and didn’t seem to have time for the basics such as his name, was everything ok, did we need anything else, basically get them in and out. Running at $100 per person with drinks and dinner we expected more.

The food, views and service was fabulous…..until….. bill came and we were overcharged $25. When we brought it to our waitress’ attention she admitted that she knew we were overcharged and “forgot “ to fix it. Beware.

We had the turkey dinner and the food wasn't as good as it has been in the past. Service was a little slow but our waitress was attentive, apologized & kept us informed. But we will be back because this was unusual. Food is normally very good.

Fantastic service from our server (Lauren), and a great hassle free Thanksgiving meal. Starters were very tasty: Calamari/Artichokes and Brie with Macadamia Nut Crust. Dinner: Prime Rib, Filet w/Shrimp, and Pork Chop. All cooked perfectly. Planning to return for Christmas.

Had prime rib for Thanksgiving which was delightful! Everyone was in a festive mood and the servers were terrific despite the crowds. Clam chowder was better than ever and the pecan pie was a treat.

We arrived on time and were seated within a few minutes. Unfortunately, we weren't acknowledged for almost 10 minutes then another 15 for the server. The food was very good and Horatio's dock side location was relaxing.

A memorable dining episode with one sour note: the host apparently did not mark our attendance; received an email from Open Table questioning what they believed to be a "no show" status. Called Horatio's and requested remedial correction. The interlude was aggressively blemished by this "checking in oversight" and has left a bad taste and negative feelings.

We had bad a bad waiter.! I had to call for removal of use empty glasses and appetizer plates after we were finish. Looks like third class service on my table. It took awhile for our food to come out from the kitchen weather it was appetizers or our main dish.. No lunches their for awhile. Very disappointed on the service.

This review is long overdue. For years, Horatios has been a place my husband and I go on special occasions. This time we went to celebrate my birthday. We normally share the calamari because we love it so much, but we decided to try the crab artichoke dip, which was amazing! We had the Unveiling drink, which was so delicious. He’s not as crazy about seafood as I am, so he had the fish and chips, which were delicious, but I like to get some thing a little fancier at a seafood restaurant. I had the almond encrusted scallops, and they were just so delicious. Everything was about the meal was perfect, I like that they don’t give you huge portions. We ended with the crème brûlée for dessert. Our server was attentive, friendly, and quick.

The service was horrible. Ordered a bottle of wine only to find out they were out of stock by then end of our meal. Never refilled our waters. Fish tasted fishy not fresh. Waiter was overwhelmed. Not very attentive, I think he was watching the first game of the World Series.

I took a friend here for her birthday dinner. It was perfect. We got there just in time for sunset with a window view. The first thing brought out was bread that was perfectly warm. Yum. We were confident our main dishes would be good. And they were! Very nice flavor. The drinks were beautiful and taste just as good. We were visiting from Sac and will for sure be returning. ;)

We first had to ask for our table and chairs to be cleaned since it was super dirty and had crumbs. I then had to send back a dirty plate. When my salad came there was a hair on my plate. The window sill Next me was also filthy dirty, looks like it has not been cleaned in years. I used to love this place but i was not happy with how dirty it was this time.

Horatio's, a standby for many years in the East Bay, is as good as ever! The interior has been kept up nicely and the food options has something for everyone. We were so happy with our meal, we were already planning our next visit before we even left.

We had reservations but had to wait for almost an hour before we were brought water, then a long wait for the waiter to take our orders, our drinks were served but some were wrong and one didn’t come at all. We finally received our food which was good.

Our waiter was AMAZING. He was well knowledge in the menu, was tentative and just offered a smile or a laugh each time he checked on us or brought us our order. The food was fresh and enjoyable and the environment was accepting. It was really the waiter that added the cherry on the top! Will return.

I don’t know if it was just an off night or what but I had the encrusted scallops which says it comes with asparagus. The scallops were good but there was only a one inch asparagus stalk on my plate lol. My friend ordered the pork chops and they were completely dried out. It was her birthday so the waiter comped a slice of key lime pie which is not offered for birthday treats normally. A bit disappointed overall.

We enjoyed our lunch today with the scenic view of the marina we’re 7 in the group we ordered the country fried calamari as appetizers and the tasting sampler tasty and good out main entree includes lobster bisque it’s ok I ordered romaine Caesar salad , grilled mahi mahi And the rest salmon, grilled shrimp scampi,crab shrimp fettuccine came late Our server awesome attentive in our needs very prompt We had good dining experience if I am in area will stop by gem in the neighborhood

We reserved a table next to a window. Upon our arrival on a Sunday afternoon, we were told they had no tables next to a window available. We were then seated in a really uncomfortable booth nowhere near a window. I noticed two open tables next to a window and asked if we could move. The manager told me we could not sit there because someone else had reserved those tables. WTF? We stayed for 1 1/2 hours and one of the tables remained empty the whole time. In the mean time 4 other tables next to windows opened up. Thanks Horatios for making my wife and I feel so special. We will NEVER go back!

the food was not as good as when we dined last time. The fish that my family ordered seem to be frozen and then cooked. The Keylime pie tasted as if it was premade we were not happy with the food. The steak was the only thing that we all liked.

We celebrated our friends' 30th birthday here Sunday August 13th. It was the right balance of upscale experience with SUPER affordable pricing. The menu was great, we wanted things to be more seasoned but I loved my dish regardless. The red wine was amazing, my friend said her cocktail was a lil too syrup-y. Our friend would've loved this place and this experience. We zoomed a friend in to celebrate with us which didn't cause an issue and wifi worked smoothly. I'll def be back.
