Really glad that inside seating is back open. Appreciated that there was only seating at every other table.
The food was great, but service was very slow, even with limited amount of diners. It took literally 15 min. for the waiter to come ask what I'd like to drink and take my order (he did say it was his first day, but still...).
Good food, good service nice wine beautiful location
We had an excellent experience with my wife
The food was delicious
Inside seating had just begun so we were spaced out and very well taken care of the service was great and meal was excellent.
With outdoor only dining, may want to consider adding some outdoor heaters now that the weather is cooling down. Only complaint though. Everything else was perfect, as always.
The outside seating was fine but they need to invest in some heaters. The food was excellent as was the service but we were freezing by the end of dinner. We were dressed for a chilly evening but it was more than chilly.
The food is always great at Horatio's. They now offer indoor & outdoor dining w/ plenty of social distancing inside. Had a great time.
Menu selection limited(due to outdoor seating?).
Pleasantly impressed by their outdoor patio seating. Excellent service just as good as the old days of indoor dining pre-Covid. Had the Fish Tacos and they were excellent good size portion. My friend a had some sort of salad and she enjoyed it.
Great waterfront restaurant. They created a nice area for outdoor dining and kept it away from traffic as much as possible. Service is a little slow but still great given how far servers have to go back and forth from the kitchen.
Their outdoor dining area is great.! I ordered the salmon dish, but I did not like the cherries or whatever it was because it was too sweet and actually I would have enjoyed the dish a lot better without it.
We were able to make reservations easily on Open Table for lunch for out door dinning,
They were thoughtful of the COVID restrictions and we felt confident in our seating arrangement. The sever was pleasant and always wearing mask and gloves and worked
hard to try to serve in a timely manner.
Seating is in the parking lot. Food took forever. Prices way too high for a parking lot.
Every thing was great, food and service was perfect
Nice outdoor seating and the tables are spaced just right!
Horatio’s was amazing. Great food, great quiet intimate setting.
Due to COVID-19, we were eating outside, which was not a problem at all.
However, I will state that upon arrival we were seated at a great table however there was a large wedding party there which was slightly disruptive. Overall great dinner, minorly slow service only because of the distance they were walking from inside to outside.
Aside from the waitress, the staff was very inattentive. We checked in 10 minutes prior to our reservation, and was told that they were behind. The host then proceeds to seat several other groups and left us waiting in the lobby for just shy of one hour. I believe a manager was walking through the lobby and we flagged him. Within 10 minutes he was able to seat us.
We had the French Dip sandwich and the fish and chips. The service was very good. We were there mostly for the outdoor dining with the pleasant breeze off the Bay, so we were very happy with our experience.
Our waitress was friendly and attentive
We waited a long time to have our order taken and a long time to be served. The server did not ask if steak sauce was desired for the filet. Soup was served without a soup spoon. Lots of little things that did not used to happen when served indoors! But the meals were delicious, and my birthday dessert of creme brulee was divine!
Nice meal friendly service
My wife fell when the chair she sat in gave way and the food was cold. Not a good experience.
I was very disappointed in my meal and the outside seating. This was not the Horatio's' normally accustomed to. The chairs they rented for outside seating was very low, hard and uncomfortable which made it difficult for my senior parents to get up out of the. The menu was limited and in food was very subpar. Not typical good Horatio's food I enjoyed pre-COVID.
Food was terrible server was worst
The calamari appetizer was excellent, the fish in the fish & chips was drowned in batter. I expected better from Horatios on a fish entry.
Don’t listen to the other reviews about bad service we’re in the middle of a pandemic. For the circumstances they are handling it as best they can. The food is great as usual and the waterfront view from their makeshift patio is beautiful. Make sure to have reservations as they can only sit so many with the given situation
Unfortunately, the service was not that great on this day, before COVID my experiences have been fine. I feel bad because the workers seemed overwhelmed, but it took forever for us to order and get our food. The food was cold and was not that great. It sucks, but I won't be going back for now.
Crab dip was cold and flavorless. Clam chowder & blue cheese salad tasted like bad cruise ship food. We won't be returning.
They now have outdoor seating, I gave it four stars because all they need to add is some heaters so dinner can be slightly more enjoyable.
Food and services are always excellent, I've dine at Horatio's for more than 30 years and their food are always good, both meat dishes and seafood dishes are as good as it gets!
We are looking forward to our next dinner here, will come it little bit early next time.
Love the outdoors seating!!! Lovely day and evening to spend close to the water and watch the sunset....
The food needs to be taken a step up, especially for the money. Service is excellent tho
Enjoyed the outdoor seating and the delicous food. A few modifications have been made due to COVID-19 but it was still an enjoyable experience.
Very bad customer service. We had a reservation but yet 2 parties that walked up were seated before us. We were not acknowledged upon arrival. 20 mins later we were seated. After 30 more minutes of no signs of a waiter , no water, no bread nothing we left. The manager ignores u too. Bad overall. Will not be back.
After being seated it took a long time to get service. Drinks didn’t come until after the app came and we had to ask
I ordered soup which was lukewarm was not offered pepper. Entrees took very long to come out. Had to ask for the check once we got the servers attention. A bee was flying around & landing on the table. Our lunch took 2 1/2 hours. I was not impressed
Despite it being cold (but hey we're outside on the waterfront) we had a very nice time. The food wasn't piping hot, again outside in the evening sure the extra distance from kitchen didn't help, but was far from cold. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Overall a good experience.
Unfortunately many of my observation have to do with the incredible situation we are in right now. we ate outside which is required but they had no heat lamps available. and it was cold after a day time high in the 90s. The food took a long time longer than usual. and because of the ambient temperature was cold. It was good to be out and dinner.
Food was delicious but unfortunately the outdoor dining was FREEZING, especially with the wind chill. Unfortunately we won’t be back until they are open for indoor dining.
Understandably dining was limited to an outdoor area with portable tables and chairs. This is fine. Unfortunately things cool off quickly in the Bay Area and especially right next to the bay. Outdoor heaters and a plexiglass windscreen would vastly improve the dining experience. Our server told us the Wind gets so bad it’s hard to manage trays of food.
We enjoyed our cocktails, their special bread and salads, but by the time our hot entries arrived we had to gobble them quickly before they got too cold to enjoy.
We might go back for indoor dining sometime, but until they improve the outdoor experience, we will not be dining there.
