There is a pattern of small, locally sourced seafood focused cuisine restaurants along the coast. Mala, Ulu, Hula, Monkeypod, and others. The Honu Oceanside is a cut above - quality, presentation and flavor a step above. A little more expensive and worth it, if you appreciate fine food. Oceanside seating with a more upscale touch. Impeccable service - attentive without being intrusive. One special note - if you searched the planet for the best piece of coconut banana cream pie, you would end up here.

Our server Jolene was great . Had a real nice view of a glorious sunset. Price is a little high for amount of food. We will be back on our next trip.

Everything about Honu was fantastic! After having seafood for several nights in a row, I opted for the filet and it was hands-down the best I have ever had and worth every penny! the mushroom truffle pizza as an appetizer was phenomenal. The drinks were delicious and served by very attentive, pleasant bartenders. It could not have been better in any way !

We usually go to Honu twice a year. This time was somewhat disappointing. They got our orders wrong twice and we ended up leaving without having what we expected

Absolutely wonderful. We sat within view of turtles feeding right outside on kelp in the surf. Fine dining experience in a unique setting. Don't be fooled by the humble exterior--these folks are putting out seriously good food. Flavors are layered and complex. Loved the ahi bruschetta. Drinks are similarly creative without overplaying. All in all a unique and fantastic find.

This restaurant does not disappoint. We had wonderful service from everyone we dealt with. The drinks were spot on. The food was excellent. Our experience there was definitely five star and we will return.

Food was very good. Octopus starter was perfectly prepared and portion was generous. Greek salad was super fresh with great taste and crunchiness. Waitstaff was very good and efficient.

So amazing! Just kept eating because everything was so good! Highly recommend subbing in the risotto for the starch. Short ribs melt in your mouth. Wonderful wines by the glass. Beautiful ocean view🥰
