Good old reliable Hondos. Food is always great, from both the quality of the food and the preparation. Simply top notch. Service can be spotty when the restaurant is busy, but last night it was quiet and the service was great. It doesn't ever really disappoint.

Was disappointed the staff had difficulty keeping up with the buffet, especially with deserts. A positive note is that our omelet maker, waffles, and meat carver was fantastic! Great service, wonderful attitude, and he managed to keep up with the throngs of people! Overall, our server kinda left us. Other staff finally removed our used dishes. We never did get tea refills. Normally, the buffet at Hondo's is over the top.

Waiter was great, I cannot remember his name but he was of Asian decent. The crab cake appetizer was amazing. My only complaint was that the well done lamb chops were burnt and a little dry. The well done steak came out medium rare so they took it back and brought the same steak back out incredibly burnt. Other than that it was a great experience.

Our server, David, was truly awesome! He was very professional and well knowledgeable of steaks. He knew the perfect timing for everything without being too pushy or making us feel that we were forgotten. As always, the food was delicious. The char on the steak was perfect. Disappointing experience. Steaks were tough even though medium rare. Seafood bisque was very salty. Salads and desserts were ok. Even though the desert was included in the 4 course package, it was added to one of our bills. Didn't see it until we left. Seems to have gone down hill.

Our favorite place for special occasions. Delicious ribeye steak and great service in a quiet steakhouse atmosphere. On your anniversary or birthday, they include a free cupcake on a decorated plate to mark your special occasion. If you sign up for their email list they will send you special discount offers that are a very good value.

We caught up with a great friend we had not seen us several years. He recently lost his beautiful wife. Our conversation went from sadness to joy as we shared many happy memories of our children and life’s adventures. It was the prefect place for connecting. If a steak is going to cost what these steaks cost, they should be the best ever. The filet was good, but not great, and the au gratin potatoes were really pretty terrible--the cheese had separated from the sauce, and they were grey. Hondo's is a special-occasion steakhouse, but it really needs to update its game to hang onto that status. I was disappointed in the quality of the food, the narrow and uncomfortable booth, and the lack of exceptionality everywhere except the service. Table service was GREAT, attentive, and helpful.

I hadn't dined at Hondo's for brunch since the pre-COVID days, and they seemed to have upped their game. It was delicious, the buffett options well thought-out, and excellent service. I'll be adding this back into the regular Sunday brunch rotation.

Fried oysters and French onion soup were the best items we had. Other than that, food was average and not nearly worth the $$$$ they charge. Steak had zero flavor and was somewhat dry. Lobster tail was significantly overcooked, dry, and small. Would've expected better for a ~ $44 add-on for the lobster tail. Risotto special was gummy and lukewarm.

I thought the food selection was not as good as it used to be. The chef at the carving station was excellent but prime rib was lukewarm. My wife had an omelette and she enjoyed that. Our server and manager were great.

What a delicious meal. Skyler was an absolute darling and funny server. We took her recommendations seriously and we were thankful we did. You can tell when someone is excited about a dish by the way they respond when they describe it to you. Best French onion soup ever! The flavors of all of our dishes were bold, layered and unique. Kudos to the chef. We didn’t mind that our food took a little longer than we would like but everyone was extremely apologetic and attentive. The food made up for the little delay. So happy we landed on Hondos and we can’t wait to go back.

Had the golden bass and garlic mashed. So-so. Not much presentation either. Incredibly overpriced. Got a coffee and was brought out a French press but the presser didn’t work and grounds came out. Overall not coming back due to price. Went to Casa Italian next night and had way better homemade Italian food including mussels, risotto, capresse salad and and penne pasta plus glass of wine for 1/2 the price. Yep-half the price. Won’t be back to this very over-rated place.

The place had a wonderful atmosphere with low lighting and was just very relaxing. We enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter was great but the steaks we had and for the price was nowhere near the cost in taste. I had better from Wegmans which I make at home, we've been there in the past and the steaks are nowhere near as good. Cheese Cake was ok, the brie was good, drinks were fair not much liquor in them. The soup was good, sides were good, but you go to Hondos to enjoy a pricey steak and expect a great steak With Flavor. If we went back again we would stay away from the steaks and Samon, Chicken, etc. We enjoyed the atmosphere though but for $229.00 for 2 plus tip, they got to assure the quality of their food. We won't mind spending but when you leave and say that the food was nothing special something is wrong.
