We booked our reservation for Wednesday in order to try the special Wellington. The restaurant was barely half full and our reservation was at 7:45 and the Wellington was no longer available. The pie was good but the rest of the food was bland. Music was awful and we just wanted to get out in order to cure our headache.

We had an amazing time at the Holborn Dining Room. We tried the pies - lamb and chicken, crab tart, oysters, prawns, and the rib eye and all were wonderful. Service was top-notch and the beautiful interior set the mood for the evening.

Service was great but the food didn't hit the mark for us. Pies were amazing but our sides were just about warm and lacking flavour. Dessert was a real disappointment. Sadly many better venues at this price point.

Starters were excellent however the main courses were certainly not at the same standard as their starters. Service was very poor, numerous times requests were made and forgotten about. Sadly just a generally disappointing meal all round.

Very disappointed. Steak came with the wrong sauce. Replacement came with steak incorrectly cooked, bleeding over plate. (It hadn’t been rested). Manager came over but did not say it was going on I he taken off the bill. Service was inept and brusque. Desserts were nice. Wouk’s not recommended.

Wonderful grand brasserie dining room, but service amiable rather than slick - hostess fiddling with her iPad took an age to welcome us. Wine glasses not filled up. Food a strange mix of good and less good. My veal rump came with homeopathic levels of morel and asparagus- not justifying the price. Was also in a buttery emulsion completely at odds with the veal jus served in a jug alongside. Odd. Though famous for its pies, the chef who developed this reputation has left. The prices are as you’d expect for a restaurant forming part of a 5* London hotel. As is now usual in London you have to look really hard for reasonable wine under £50/bottle - though in fairness there is a decent selection by the glass and carafe. A reasonable-ish meal in an area where much is shut on a Sunday, but I certainly wouldn’t rush back.

We had a fabulous evening at the Holborn Dining Room. We were warmly greeted by the charming manager, Robert, who later took us for a visit to the Pie Room where their specialty dishes are created each day. We enjoyed our conversation with him - Robert has the perfect combination of personality, charm, and hospitality for his role and he is an asset to the restaurant and hotel. Dinner was excellent - the freshest ingredients prepared skillfully and of the highest quality. We split a fresh English asparagus with ham and egg as an appetizer (wonderful!), and for entrees had the mouth watering fish and chips and the chicken pie. We were both happy with our selections. For dessert a delectable strawberry panna cotta. The dining room is chic and beautifully lit with jazzy but subtle music in the background. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the excellent, on-point, and attentive service from our waiter, Nico, who completed the evening with style and perfection. Highly recommend this dining experience while in London!

We went to eat there because they're famous for the pies, but we were disappointed. Price is really high,but the problem is that the food it's not at the same level.

As always, a very positive dining experience. Service was attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. Ambiance perfect. We lingered as it was my husband’s birthday, and there no sense of us overstaying our welcome. I’d noted in the booking that it was a birthday lunch, which was mentioned when we sat down, and acknowledged with a little courtesy cake with a candle later in the meal. Very thoughtful. Thank you for making our day out in London memorable. See you again before too long.

Very tasty pies but way over priced - £36 for a small pie is too much. I'd expect to pay that for a Michelin star main course, not a half decent bit of pastry and filling. Tiny portion of mash for £8 not good enough. Might have been one large potato mashed? Servers looked bored rigid. Little atmosphere to remember. I'm sure lots of people love this place but very disappointed overall after hearing so much about it.

The restaurant is in a great location and the staff are amazing. What let us down was large pieces of crab shells within the food which caused distress to one person within the dinning party.

I have visited a few times and I do always have a good time, good ambience, lovely decor and attentive service. Unfortunately my recent visit included a very over done rib eye steak. I let the wait staff know which they actioned straight away but it did mean my client and I were eating at different times and ultimately I was shocked to see that I was still charged for the item on the bill at the end. Maybe it's best to stick to the pies!

Came here for a business breakfast and paid almost £115 for me and one other (two people in total).No specific complaints about the service or quality of food (as you'd probably expect for the cost) however for £6.50 per coffee and £6.50 per orange juice, £5 per person for toast that wasn't included within the hot breakfast costs, and a 15% service charge calculated on the total after VAT is added, I would strongly recommend others avoid here and instead for these prices, look at going to the Ritz, Wolseley and Dorchester etc for all round better value for money and experience.
