Hoku's
Hoku's has a breathtaking beachside setting with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every table in the multi-level dining room.
Open for dinner and for Sunday brunch.
The food and service is excellent. I'm a repeat customer and I will continue to come back.
Yum! Great atmosphere, food and service. One of my favs and will continue to be. COVID friendly distancing patrons during dining and even upon check in.
Food was excellent and service was impeccable!! It was the perfect place to celebrate our very 1st wedding anniversary!! Highly recommended!!
Chef Jonathen’s grand tasting menu was simply incredible, all of the staff was amazingly attentive and knowledgeable. We had a magical Christmas Eve dinner without a doubt !
For $80/person brunch, it’s pretty pricy. I think the price was about the same before for brunch buffet (all you can eat)but now they gave you two bento style boxes as appetizers and main dish. They will charge you per item if you want any refills. Food quality and service was good.
Birthday dinner was great. Unsung hero of the 8 course tasting menu was the pineapple shave ice!
First off the Food was yummy. They have a set menu for Sunday brunch and while they would give aka cart items to our young kids they did not have a menu displaying descriptions, portions or prices for that. The waiter had poor communication about any aka cart menu items. We ended up paying for 9 individual price juice cups for my family of 4. My husband and I had the set menu and at $80 that should certainly have come with juice and coffee. Disappointed at the poor level of communication by our server.
This place has great location for a beautiful view of the ocean, valet parking, amazing service and the food was beyond fabulous. I loved everything about it.
The hostess declined to seat us at a window even though it was empty and we requested it in our Open Table reservation. She told us that 3 people could not sit by the window it was only setup for 2 or 4 people. She sat us alone away from everyone and 10 minutes later sat a party of 3 next to a window.
Talk about feeling discriminated and insulted. Maybe we don’t have the right skin tone or appear to have money, such treatment is not acceptable.
If not for the fact that our waiter was exceptional and we enjoy Hoku’s food, we probably would never eat there again.
We came in after 2 prior attempts to celebrate our 42 Anniversary
Service from Jerrod was excellent
My wife completely enjoyed the 8 course Vege Tasting Menu
Our son and girlfriend enjoyed the Chef 8 course
I decided to do 2 4 course menus and that worked well
The first few courses seemed a bit underseasoned and near the end a couple dishes seemed a bit over seasoned
I would try the 8 course next time
We chose Hoku's for Sunday brunch to celebrate two birthdays. Instead of a usual buffet, the menu had four sections: Appetizers, Main, Carving and Dessert. All courses were fantastic with plenty of food which we were allowed to take home (and we did).
The servers were hospitable, courteous and professional and we reserved a window table for the special occasion.
The only negative part was the two huge flies swarming around our table. Other than that, it was a great special occasion experience.
We would recommend to arrive on an empty stomach and then take a walk down to the beach to see the dolphin pools.
Wonderful food, ambience and friendly, efficient service.
4 course tasting menu offered a nice selection/variety of choices. The risotto was great and so was lobster. The ahi dip is a longtime favorite!
Everything is excellent. The ambiance, the oceanfront view, the service and the food are all amazing. It was a fantastic dining experience.
First time there ... can’t wait to go back!!!
Exceptional service and superb meal !
Food was good but only set menu, which is too much food for us seniors.
One more thing, ordered a glass of champagne. It was flat no tiny bubbles.
Good to be back, great dinner! especially the Salmon, so far, the best!
Just opened back up and decided to come here for our anniversary. The view is so beautiful, and such a mellow ambiance. Our servers were very professional and had a great sense of humor. Enjoyed every part of my night!
Gnats flying around my drinks and no other meal options
Fantastic food and service .
Awesome place. Definitely will be going back. Everything was perfect for our 20th Anniversary!! Only thing is maybe have more Entree selection!!
Hoku’s cancelled my reservation without notice and neither they or Open Table bothered to contact me. I showed up with five guests and they were closed. Terrible.
Beautiful food with lovely views. Lots to choose from with attentive staff. We went for Sunday lunch/brunch and it was one of the best buffets we've had.
Waiter was lovely. Portion size way too large though. Just felt like that we were the only ones left in the restaurant at 9:30am!
We got married on the beach a short distance from the restaurant on March 12th and had reservations for Dinner here. We enjoyed the whole experience and hope to come back someday. We had perfect timing for this trip and had no PLANDEMIC restrictions , it all started getting crazy the day we left.
Awesome location, views, staff and food!
Great for anniversary, as it’s very pricey. Very attentive service and the meal was presented beautifully. Most importantly, it was delicious! Bring a sweater, the A/C was in full mode.
The most amazing aromas from the Island Flavors tasting menu
Absolutely great value for the money with fantastic beach view
One of the best Sunday Brunches we've had. Fantastic service. Will definitely go again

Good atmosphere. We have enjoyed ourselves very much.
We both had ,the catch of the day. The fish was tough (hard to cut without a knife) the steamed vegetable had un-bitable stalks (sautés greens) and came with plain white rice. Not the best meal. The wine was good, but of course overpriced. Service was excellent! We would not dine here again.
Outstanding in every way!
Highly recommended! The brunch was well worth it, the staff is prompt and courteous. It’s a food experience and thank you to Bob our server!
It was really nice because the late seating was not crowded so much more relaxed. The service was outstanding and ambience great. The food quality was very good. The variety of selections were not as great as other higher end Sunday brunch buffets but it was well stocked. Being indoors gave it a more upscale feel. Of the dishes that was there, taste and freshness was very good. Variety of desserts was less than other buffets we have been to in Honolulu. Overall one of best Sunday buffets in Honolulu.
My wife and I have been married for over 51 years, but because our first date was on February 29th, 1968, this was only the 13th time we could celebrate that milestone. It was perfect. The staff knows exactly what they are doing, the chef is outstanding, the view is nice (until sunset when it fades away), the noise level is low (so one can have nice conversations, and the wind list is extensive...but still has some affordable stuff. All of our dishes were good, but I would choose the moi (which I had) over the lamb (which my wife had) and the octopus (which my wife had) over the hamachi (which I had). We shared the luscious chocolate desert, which we suggest you do not miss.
子供連れでしたが、子供にも丁寧に接客していただきました。また、お誕生日であることを伝えたらケーキを用意してくれました!
Excellent food and professional service.
