Hoku's has a breathtaking beachside setting with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every table in the multi-level dining room.
Hoku's does have a dress code; gentlemen are required to wear covered shoes, sleeved shirt, and long pants. Women may wear sun dresses to elegant evening wear.
The food was excellent, the staff was great, and the view was the best.
Family dinner to celebrate new year. Wonderful experience
ナパの白ワイン 大変美味 コストも良い
赤ワイン 少し味が？ 同じナパ
We were seated promptly with a beautiful view of the beach. Staff was available for our every need. Food was excellent, as usual. We were not rushed, so were able to enjoy the food and atmosphere at our own pace.
Best buffet in town. Wait staff great. Sashimi and seafood quality.
Awesome service from Frank and the GM. Many enthusiastic foodies taking pictures
It was our second trip to Hoku’s and the food was spectacular once again. It was my husband’s birthday and they brought out a nice complementary birthday dessert for him. Service was great and the food is incredible. My favorite on Oahu!
It was to noise.
But the food and wine were great.
NYE dinner at Hoku’s was very memorable for these visitors from San Francisco. The six-course menu was just scrumptious. But the best thing was having Lisa as our server. She remembered us from a year ago when we also dined at Hoku’s for our anniversary. What a wonderful night spent with our ohana. And thank you to Wes, the manager who was amazing in handling a delicate situation regarding the noise level. We will be back. Mahalo and much aloha!

We had new yeara
What gives with the dress code? I saw at least 10 people in T-shirts, another 4 in shorts. Lost count of the number of feet encased in beach slippers. One table had 5 guys in white t-shirts with one of them wearing a baseball cap. Dressier at Zippy’s. Really takes away from the ambience.
Wonderful venue, but being a Monday breakfast buffet and not the usual Sunday brunch fare. Food selection was limited, and with a very small venue attendance the food turnover was very slow allowing the hot dishes to become overcooked. The typical Sunday and weekend holiday brunch is much better value.
Noise level was too high at times within the restaurant itself.
Outside the restaurant, the Veranda bar and dining area was way too loud. It took away the enjoyment to walk around the lobby and lagoon areas for a relaxing and leisure stroll after dinner.
Always great food and service
We love Hokus! Been here several times and it has always been excellent. This was our second year in a row for a celebration and in between for brunch. Everything we ate was so good.
Always enjoyable, great ocean views, a la carte or tasting menus, always creatively prepared, and delivered with excellent service.
We celebrated a holiday dinner with family and Hoku’s did not disappoint. The food and service were wonderful. It was a special night at a special place.
Have been to Hoku's several times & each time have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
We went for my sister’s birthday and got seated by the window with spectacular ocean views. The ambience was upscale but friendly with delicious food and excellent customer service. This will be a staple on future vacations to come! Highly recommended.
Consistently excellent food and service. Wok fried shrimp is just delicious. Highly recommend.
Very nice as always. We’re not regulars but it’s nice to be treated as such by the staff.
Restaurant was amazing but its crippled by the hotel’s zoo where keep dolphins within a couple pond sized enclosures. It’s a personal opinion but my wife and I hate to see dolphins in captivity. Not a slight against the restaurant but people should know before they dine.
Beautiful surroundings, excellent cuisines, outstanding service. You can’t beat it!
Service was wonderful. Fish was overcooked.
Best restaurant in Honolulu for fish.
Fresh, awesome fish and seafood, well prepared and extremely well plated. Also very creative and enjoyable salads and soups, as well as special lamb from Colorado and beef from the Big Island.
Save room for dessert, and don't forget to enjoy the Hawaiian bread with their special aioli.
Hoku's is always special.
Try to get a table for sunset.
And its at the Kahala. Need I say more?
Hoku's for dinner or brunch. Done.
Great food and great service - particularly liked the variety of dishes. The bread and butter pudding and beef were especially tasty.
It's expensive but worth it. Save for special occasions. We treat ourselves once or twice a year.
This time we were seated in a booth facing the ocean. Wonderful!
The service put this establishment over the top. Our server, Bob, was so wonderful & shared some great stories. The food was fantastic & only matched by the setting. The seafood tower was great, the musubi was so good & the wok fried prawns were perfect.
Good food and excellent service. Expecting more though considering the price range of this restaurant.
Would not recommend to anyone 6 course meal 20 minutes between courses appetizer was a single shrimp main dish was a single prawn and a dried piece of pork the size of a silver dollar
I heard of this place best for brunch and to be sure to eat your plate worth. Surely it was well worth it. Assortment of foods was great and seemed fresh for the most part. They do have an ala carte menu that you can also order from if you do the buffet. Would recommend this place only for special occasions as it is pretty pricey.
Great service and food
The occasion was restaurant week and when we sat down we asked for the restaurant week menu. The waiter said they chose not to do the restaurant week menu on the weekends! So ridiculous. When I told the waiter that’s why we came, he said, “Yeah, a lot of customers were disappointed”. To make matters worse, he said we could order the restaurant week menu a la cart and at full price. We were really disappointed. FYI Restaurant week promoters, Honu’s should NOT be allowed to participate only half of the time. Bad enough they didn’t bother to post their menu until really late in the game. I won’t go back.
It was my first experience at hokus and it was excellent
