Hoku's has a breathtaking beachside setting with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every table in the multi-level dining room.
Hoku's does have a dress code; gentlemen are required to wear covered shoes, sleeved shirt, and long pants. Women may wear sun dresses to elegant evening wear.
Their Decaf was too too dark, bad taste this time, I had never had such bitter coffee.
We had Chef’s tasting dinner and Prix Fixe. I ordered Decaf for my desert, but it was terrible taste.
I sip it, then I couldn’t sip anymore. It ruined all my dinner😖. I was very disappointed.
Unfortunately our experience was not as excellent as it has been in the past. The food was over salted and the wait staff seemed to be less interested in our needs when we declined to order any wine. I was overall very disappointed with our experience.
One of the best dining experience that I had in my life.Wow,food was amazing and the level of service was outstanding.Pricey, but well worth it as my date was blown away from this dining experience.
The ambiance, food, and staff were wonderful and made our Valentines dinner a memorable experience! Thank you to Kent for his attentive service! The wine pairings were excellent and complimented the delicious pre fixe menu!
Our meal was a five course pre-fixe so I think that’s why our food was not hot when it was served. That was our biggest disappointment with our meal. The food was creative but we were not blown away by the taste. We expected more from Hoku’s.
The brunch selection and choice of food was exceptional. Service was friendly and outstanding as usual. Overall wonderful experience enjoyed by our guests and ourselves.
Hats off to Chef Wayne and his staff for continually providing the same great taste year after year. We've never been just OK with the food at Hoku's buffet, it's always been a food lovers delight. Service was exceptional, price...well, because of the great food and service, I have no complaint.
Well done Chef Wayne. Keep up the great work and great atmosphere of Hoku's.
Best brunch on Oahu.
We arrived at 5:30 for our rsvp. Slow slow slow was the hostess. The area became congested with people :( Server was ok. Truffles were terrible!
Just a wonderful experience
The service was absolutely wonderful and the restaurant was beautiful. However, our food was good but not exceptional. The prices were too high, especially for the wine.
Food and views were amazing!
The food was incredible, especially the seafood tower appetizer. The only negative aspect was the table next to us was rather loud and boisterous. It made the conversation at our table hard to hear at times.
Chef’s course menu was very creative and more than the price value.
Flavors were not great. Choices were sub-par. Quite unimpressive and I was embarrased to have brought my guest there.
I booked sunday lunch. It's very nice.I would try again!
We had a nice table but unfortunately a large party was seated next to us and one of the individuals appeared to be a little tipsy so he kept leaning over his friends and sticking his butt in our faces...it was quite annoying. We don’t blame Hoku’s for this but just wish that people would mind their manners and be more considerate of other patrons.
Hokus is amazing. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been too. Highly recommend!
The food was excellent, the staff was great, and the view was the best.
Family dinner to celebrate new year. Wonderful experience
ナパの白ワイン 大変美味 コストも良い
赤ワイン 少し味が？ 同じナパ
We were seated promptly with a beautiful view of the beach. Staff was available for our every need. Food was excellent, as usual. We were not rushed, so were able to enjoy the food and atmosphere at our own pace.
Best buffet in town. Wait staff great. Sashimi and seafood quality.
Awesome service from Frank and the GM. Many enthusiastic foodies taking pictures
It was our second trip to Hoku’s and the food was spectacular once again. It was my husband’s birthday and they brought out a nice complementary birthday dessert for him. Service was great and the food is incredible. My favorite on Oahu!
For the New Years Breakfast Buffet. Food was completely disappointing as it was only a Breakfast Buffet not a Brunch Buffet, even though we were charged for a similar price to the Brunch price. Very basic breakfast foods, none of the usual special Hoku’s dishes like the almond butter croissants or ahi musubi’s were not offered. Very underwhelming. Honestly if I’d known that the menu would be so limited I wouldn’t have eaten there. The food offered was closer to what you’d see at Denny’s except that they charged nearly $70/person.
It was to noise.
But the food and wine were great.
NYE dinner at Hoku’s was very memorable for these visitors from San Francisco. The six-course menu was just scrumptious. But the best thing was having Lisa as our server. She remembered us from a year ago when we also dined at Hoku’s for our anniversary. What a wonderful night spent with our ohana. And thank you to Wes, the manager who was amazing in handling a delicate situation regarding the noise level. We will be back. Mahalo and much aloha!

We had new yeara
What gives with the dress code? I saw at least 10 people in T-shirts, another 4 in shorts. Lost count of the number of feet encased in beach slippers. One table had 5 guys in white t-shirts with one of them wearing a baseball cap. Dressier at Zippy’s. Really takes away from the ambience.
Wonderful venue, but being a Monday breakfast buffet and not the usual Sunday brunch fare. Food selection was limited, and with a very small venue attendance the food turnover was very slow allowing the hot dishes to become overcooked. The typical Sunday and weekend holiday brunch is much better value.
Noise level was too high at times within the restaurant itself.
Outside the restaurant, the Veranda bar and dining area was way too loud. It took away the enjoyment to walk around the lobby and lagoon areas for a relaxing and leisure stroll after dinner.
Always great food and service
