It was good night out & a treat to sit outside & listen to the Country Fest going on in the lawn. Beer is great as alway, food was ok
Live band. Fun watching the diners get paddles on their butt. Great food and drinks.
Loved the atmosphere. The food quality was not what I expected having been to original Hofbrau Haus in Munich. The pretzel was terrible. It tasted like it had been microwaved. Pretzels are one of the best things in Munich.
We had dinner on the patio. Service and food was great.
Only suggestion is to turn off the outside speakers when the Park has an outdoor concert going on.
Our service was really bad; it appeared as though our server had inside tables and outside tables and we had a hard time getting her attention. Also, the people bringing out the food were very confused and often coming by our table asking if we ordered stuff.
Celebrating my son’s birthday 3 of his friends. The service was very good but the food was overpriced but good. After we finished our meal we told the waiter that it was my son’s birthday and he suggested a shot that also comes with a girl with a paddle for a spanking. A cute Idea and it went over very well. The bill was $250 which is about what I expected but I was shocked to see a charge of $7 for my son’s shot. You would think that after spending that much money they would buy a birthday shot. Nickel and dime move.
Was a fun time with good food!
This is one of the best German resturants in Chicago with real authentic German food.
A great place to watch the World Cup when Germany is playing. It is also a good time on a Saturday night with friends or family. We have been there multiple times. My only negitive on this visit was the waiter bathed in cologne, instant headache.
We were celebrating my graduation and a late fathers day dinner. Service was phenomenal, the food was amazing and the ambiance was great! We enjoyed the German atmosphere and will be returning. Thank you!
I had a wonderful time at Hofbrauhaus for Father's Day. My only critique was the services, which was quite friendly but a little slow. Granted - it was a long day for everyone. I look forward to returning.
Great atmosphere fantastic service, and let's not forget...authentic German food!
I had a great time here with my family celebrating my birthday. The live band and lively atmosphere made it a great time.
It was for our German Au pairs 21st birthday. The ambience was good and our child played the instruments. We had currywurst which were red sausages covered in almost tomato sauce. No taste of curry.
We stopped for lunch with friends that we were dropping off at the airport. The food was GREAT!!
Great food!!! Energetic entertainment - which makes it noisy so don’t expect to have important conversations. Waitress was attentive. However the young man delivering our food practically threw the plates at us. The juices on my plates sloshed around and spilled on me, the table, and the ground. When I asked him for napkins to clean up he just gestured to the napkins on the table and walked away. I mentioned it to the waitress but didn’t get the impression that the incident would be relayed correctly. This is not my first experience with less than stellar service at this location.
Loud, energetic and fun. Food was very good and so was the beer. The wine list is not good, this is strictly for beer lovers.
We really enjoyed the live music. Service was great
Awesom Staff very friendly Great Beer good German food ,Music is little loud but it’s not bother you to much specially after a 1Liter
Fun time.. what a real German beer house is!
One of the best German restaurants around. The food is fantastic and the live music keeps you dancing
Great food and fun for the whole family.
Great place to go with family. Lively fun and good food and beer!!
This place was so much fun. Went with my husband and kids for his birthday. The kids loved it due to them being able to stand on the benches to dance and sing. They also have a kid’s menu. Great night out with the family and reminded us of our Germany trip from a couple years back.
Great food and the atmosphere is always fun! We can always count on some good authentic German treats and the beer is great too.
Good food, even better beer. Maibock and dunkel are my go to drinks. The place is loud but the atmosphere makes up for it. Be prepared for communal seating.
Overpriced sub-par food. We made the reservations for 6 people on OpenTable for the afternoon of Easter not realizing the only food option was a $30 per person brunch buffet. Our bad. The parking lot next to restaurant was valet only and closed off because it was full. We had elderly folks with us and couldn't drop them off anywhere near the entrance since the road in front was also closed to traffic. So we had to drop them off behind the building and they had to walk around. When we checked in that's when we learned it was a buffet and we couldn't order off the menu. We are not big buffet people. However since it was already late in the afternoon we begrudgingly decided to dine there. None of us enjoyed the flavors of the food. It was a very frustrating experience to say the least. We won't be returning. We had been there once before and thought it was just ok, but someone in our group had not been there and wanted to try it. Save your time and money.
Food was good and service was great! Appetizers were slightly overpriced, but it was still delicious.
I am from Europe, that is way I wanted to eat to a German restaurant, expecting good food. Everything on my plate was could, and the meat was not prepared there. You could buy it already cooked from any European store. And on top of that, we had to pay for valet parking. There is no enough parking spots.
Everything was great except where we were seated. Even with reservation, and was only 1/3 full, was seated in back and behind panels so we could not see stage. Was told not all wait staff was there to be seated in main eating area.
The vibe is great! The food is a little pricey but it is perfect if you just want to drink beer and have a good time. It can be a little loud but the music makes you feel like you are in the heart of Germany during Octoberfest.
An awesome visit for my parents. It was great German experience without going to Germany.
Great music! We danced and enjoyed the Sunday afternoon band. Drinks were great. We had fun while awaiting our food. Will be back with our friends!
Awesome restaurant and festive atmosphere-must try!
There is really nothing to recommend about your restaurant. The food is mediocre to poor & not cheap. The music is lame. I guess if I wanted to get drunk, it might work, but there are better places to drink. Sorry to be so negative, but your concept doesn't work.
The food was amazing. It was the first time experience with German food and all hands down it was amazing. The live entertainment the whole atmosphere the dress code it was just great
I met a colleague for lunch because it's near the airport. It was a fun atmosphere and something different than the usual business lunch. We shared the giant pretzel, which was great and our server let us taste the seasonal beer before selecting one to have with lunch. I could see that the place could get noisy when busy, but on a weekday for lunch, it was pretty quiet and was very fun.
Great German food n atmosphere! Music is perfect, and beer is outstanding!!
Great place and lots of fun. Noisy for talker by.
