Amazing food! Great service!
Love Hitchcock. Excellent service. Creative cuisine. Farm to table freshness. Pleasant ambiance. We are very fortunate to have an establishment of this caliber on our island.
We loved eating at Hitchcock because of the farm-to-table sourcing they do with so many different types of local ingredients. Everything tasted amazing and had great quality. These types of restaurants are more common in Seattle and far and few between on the peninsula. We also love eating raw oysters and these were amazing. Definitely coming back again.
Enjoyed our evening at Hitchock and I usually do. 'Am so grateful for the quality of the food and
conscientiousness of the staff. It is definitely an asset for the Island.
This was the second time we have dined at Hitchcock.
Both times for a birthday celebration.
Both times we thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, wine menu, food, and of course the service.
We WILL be back!
My Wife and I do not have much time/energy for frequent "dates" so about once a year we go all in. Hitchcock was a perfect choice. a little on the loud side as it is a small place and some people are....well just loud talkers. But.....we had the "chefs choice" and we were not disappointed at all. 10 courses of tantalizing the taste buds with wine to match each course. Loved it!
Excellent all around. Food innovative and delicious. Young man serving us was outstanding, knew every dish. Casual but amazing tasting menu. Pleased that high quality is sustained. A real gem!
I like this restaurant more every time I go. The staff is lovely. The food is great. And, they make good cocktails. Thanks!
The trek out to Bainbridge was well worth it to dine at Hitchcock. The service was really great, it was a pretty quiet night so we were able to choose where we wanted to sit and then our server did a great job walking us through the menu. Everything is locally sourced (except the cheese and wine!) And the food is great! Loved the clams which had a fall/winter flare with ground mustard and russet potatoes! Also LOVED the fresh meats- they were beyond delicious!
Interesting menu, creative dishes, a few that missed the mark. Service a bit rushed.
We had really good food, but I was disappointed in the lack of protein choices. The beef option was $100, (a great deal!) for two people...but I couldn’t order it because of my dietary restriction. Our meals were very good, but perhaps a little uninspired. I would have liked something other than chicken, which I can make myself at home. My husband’s mushroom pasta was also tasty, but again, lacking in originality. The bone marrow was truly something special, in hind sight...we would have ordered drinks, two bone marrow appetizers and had dinner somewhere else!
We loved it! Great food, service, and atmosphere.
My wife and I had dinner here as a late Valentine's day date. We came over on the ferry from Seattle, earlier in the day on a Saturday and spent several hours waking around the main drag in Bainbridge before our reservation. We both had pasta dishes, and shared a beet salad to start. The food was expertly prepared, and served in these huge bowls--very cool. Great place for a date. Be prepared for a leisurely dinner. We were a little stressed about catching our ferry back, so when we go again, we will give ourselves more time to relax and enjoy, or maybe just get a room for the night and make a weekend of it. We were both very satisfied, and will recommend Hitchcock to our friends.
We are fans of the boss and sad that my wife's birthday was not acknowledged though asked for with the reservation. As to the service, we are simply puzzled and certainly not thrilled. Other than the person who was supposed to be the server, the hostess tried her very best to stay in touch and seemed to recognize the service problem. Our server did not even "serve" the food or much else than the bill. We are still fans of Brendon's who is a terrific entrepreneur.
We'd intended to opt for the tasting menu, but the waiter appeared so disinterested in us it just didn't seem like it'd be the "luxurious" experience we were looking for. The underwhelming service ultimately made for a less-than-stellar visit to Hitchcock.
Drinks were inventive, and we quite enjoyed the pasta entrees we ended up ordering (we virtually had to, as they'd run out of most of the other dishes at that point, 7pm on a Sunday).
Overall, my impression of Hitchcock is "overhyped" and "overpriced." I think if we'd expected a bit less going in -- and paid less going out -- we would've been left with a better experience.
It was such a fun time dining at Hitchcock. Allison was the leader of our chef’s tasting with wine pairings. It was an awesome experience with even better food. All so special and made me feel a part of Bainbridge. Almost like i grew up there. This place will make you feel special from being to end. Also it is a tasting menu, but this 10 course meal is going to get you satisfied 100%.
A must for anyone traveling in the greater Seattle area!!
Always a favorite for a special occasion. Food you cannot cook at home ourselves!
This was a wonderful surprise! The food was fresh and creative. The service and superb. A great discovery.
This place was recommended by a Seattle local and mentioned specifically the chefs dedication to supporting Farestart, a not-for-profit with a food and education mission. The food was amazing the service impeccable and the chef came and spoke to us regarding his passion for Farestarts mission. An amazing night at an amazing restaurant.
I had a lovely dinner with a friend. Service was a bit slow but ok.
The food concepts are good, but execution is lacking. The wait staff seems to have little pride in what they are presenting. My expectations were high - the experience was poor.
Took forever to be seated. Hostess checked us in, had us wait while she got wine for another customer and then seated us at a table that was already set up.Once we ordered drinks for a party of three, it took forever! Then our appetizer showed up shortly after receiving cocktails.
Food very good and server was nice and pleasant. Menu print is too small for older folks and lighting is hard to read the menu. One needs a flashlight.
Superb from every perspective. The service was very responsive in an unintrusive way, the food was local and flavors were big and excellent. The sommelier chose an excellent wine for us. I am very picky and value conscious and I enjoyed every aspect of Hitchcock's thoroughly,
The atmosphere and setting are wonderful. Service is top notch - from recommendations on what to enjoy, to wine pairings, to the timing of when and how your meal is served. Then there's the food - WOW! Everything tastes amazing and ranges from simple to complex. Lovely for any occasion!
James took wonderful care of us and we just loved our evening. Thanks so much for delivering on a special occasion 50th birthday celebration.
One of the best restaurants in the Seattle area. The menu is limited, but the half chicken cannot be beat.
Loved the chef’s tasting menu! A great experience!
Need better selection of small bites if you’re not doing full dinner... but in for cocktails mainly.
Awesome experience. Chef's tasting plus wine was an incredible value. Best Seattle meal of my visiy.
Loved the food and wine! We do the Chef's Tasting Menu each time, and it is totally worth it! 10 courses including oysters. We don't like oysters, so they substituted with an amazing salad! Service is spectacular. Tasting menu allows you to experience "slow food."
WE WENT FOR MY SON'S 34TH BIRTHDAY. THERE WAS ONLY 4 OF US BUT WE WERE VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. STAFF WERE ATTENTIVE AND FOOD WAS SIMPLY DELICIOUS!! WE STARTED WITH SMALL PLATE THEN WERE GIVEN A COMPLIMENTARY AND UNEXPECTED CHEESE PLATE!! SO FUN TO TRY DIFFERENT CHEESES. I ALSO MADE RESERVATION ONLINE,EASY PEASY.
THANKS AGAIN FOR MAKING OUR DINING AND BIRTHDAY DINNER A SPECIAL MEMORY.
WE WILL BE BACK.
The Chef's Table was an AMAZING dining experience! Can't wait to have dinner at Hitchcock again!
Absolutely amazing. Do the tasting menu if you can - it was a lot of great dishes. You definitely get your money's worth. The optional wine paring is great as well.
Our dinners at Hitchcock keep getting better and better.
This time we sprung for the beef for 2, or for 4 depending on your appetite. It was perfectly cooked, delicious and accompanied by roasted Jerusalem artichokes with a homemade aioli! Outstandingly decadent and totally awesome!!
Service and wine list always please as well.
The presentation and ambiance was pleasant. A small venue but intimate. Great ingredients as all of them are locally sourced. The waiter helped us to design a menu that would be a representation of Hitchcock without going thru the tasting menu, which would have taken 2.5 hours. The start of the dinner went well, the oysters from Hamma Hamma river were fresh, the cheeses were a varietal, the sunchokes were roasted well. We got sick though from the Coppa and the Neah Bay salmon both were on the salty side, hence the lower ratings. We didn't go for the dessert as the last two dishes weren't to our standard. The wine selection offering was great, as the waiter helped us out with a great aromatic bottle.
Very meat and Pork heavy menu. The food was over-sauced for our taste. We prefer cleaner foods that is seasoned to highlight the flavor. Great atmosphere.
A quality experience. Careful, casual service and exceptional plates. An extensive wine list.
Amazing dinner every time !
My chicken was excellent, but my husband chose the salmon. It tasty "fishy" and lacked flavor. Everything else was great!
Great local gem with their own locally raised pigs which feature heavily on the menu. A bit rich for us.
