They did not honor the reservation. They also informed us that it would take over an hour to get any food. Very rude.
When we told them we had made a reservation, they acted like they didn't even know what Open Table was? They first said they had no room, and then did find us a spot in their side room next to a very noisy group of ladies. Noisy to the point where we could hardly carry on a conversation. Our waitress kept apologizing about not being able to get to us right away, and it seemed they were understaffed or not prepared at all. When we did get our food, it was not hot and the beef tips I ordered were overcooked. She apologized and comped a dessert to share. Their menu is nice with a variety of choices, but we had a very disappointing experience.
Food was good.... a little noisy for 5p in the afternoon.
This was a great little bar with friendly service. Lots of seating choices. We are in the enclosed patio. Would have been nice to have music. We ordered the ribwye to share and it was a thin slice od ribeye. Better suited to go on a sandwich. The flavor was goodnthough. Ordered artichoke dip and it was totally without flavor. Fries were excellent! We ended up ordering more. (Since the steak was so small) Not a bad experience, nice place. Just don't go real hungry. The atmosphere trumps the food.
I saw a comment that said that they had quit using open table, so I called in my reservation directly to the restaurant. This truly is a gem to see and to taste! I got the black and blue salad and my husband got the club sandwich. Both entres were huge and very tasty. My hard to please husband even suggested that we make a reservation for the next evening too, so that we could try other items. The wait staff was very pleasant.
Made a reservation via mobile and received the confirmation email. When my guests and I walked in and said we had a reservation, she went to an old paper ledger. I said, "no, I just made the reservation a bit ago on Open Table." "Oh, we don't use that." "Do you have a table for three?" "No." "That's terrific."
Had a great time! the food was excellent for the style. The service was good even if a little slow. Which was OK with us. The noise level was too high for good conversation down a table with 10 people. We went back again on Sunday the 29th and the noise level as well as the crowd was down. Again it was slow service, but we were not in a hurry.
Visited on a Friday night, around 8 PM. Not crowded at all, Nothing gourmet here, mostly variations on pub food, but decently prepared, came out quickly, and, with attentive, friendly service. I didn't try the bar area, which appeared to be more intimate than the dining area, and quiet. You could have a nice conversation in there. . I had the fish and chips,, still a bit heavy on the batter for my tastes, but generous. The online menu hadn't been updated as of my visit on the 13th, several changes to it, but my waitress saw that as a to-do.
