Shared the Gamble Salad for two and it was large. It's supposed to have crab and prawns but they are shredded in such small pieces you don't really taste them. The dressing is like a wannabe Cesar, but not as good. Not Recommended. I ordered the Prime Rib. Taste was fair but the meat was very far from tender and rather chewy. My wife had the 8 oz Filet Mignon. The meat was tasty in a nice sauce and tender. Both meats came a la carte, without even a sprig of parsley, which considering the price paid for meats was just downright cheap. They could have thrown in some potato or some veggies. While service was very good and the wine list decent I cannot recommend this place.

Poor quality Filet Mignon extremely tough and impossible to chew Management replaced 2 steaks with a wedge salad that was a joke And Scallops that were over cooked, tough, and poor quality. Management had to comp dinners Oyster appetizer was delicious Will not return. Cafe & bakery is quite good and we recommend it instead of steak house Different chef

My filet mignon was perfectly cooked, and my husband’s prime rib was amazing. Our service was outstanding. It was our anniversary, and they brought us out a dessert to celebrate. I would highly recommend High Steaks.

The food at High Steaks is excellent: seared foie gras beautifully paired with dark berries; succulent bone-in rib-eyes; rich, slightly spicy/slightly lemony cioppino. We've had very attentive service, well paced, by Oreck, as well as Patrick. The restaurant is well-run by the manager, Jenkins, who has ensured a strong ethos of responsive service by the entire staff.

I really enjoy your Prime Rib dinner on Tuesday. The Au Jus is perfect…. My only suggestion is if we had an extra Au Jus on the side over a a small candle. Many times the Au Jus gets cold on plate. Conversation is a great part of dinner and and at times I can see the oils/fat start to solidify on my plate. Would be outstanding if we had such mentioned above. I highly recommend High Steaks to many of my friends and will always be a patron of establishment…. Myself and Wife.

Jose was our waiter and he has the perfect personality for a marvelous evening. The salads, lamb chops and scallops were perfect. His wine knowledge allowed us to have the perfect wine or drink with each course.

Went for my granddaughter’s 19th birthday to give her the experience of eating at a high end restaurant. Thunder Valley High Steaks did not disappoint! Everything from the greeting, seating, server, food, dessert, etc., was awesome! My granddaughter said she liked it better than Ruth Chris! It’s was worth the price to receive such great customer service! Thank you ThunderValley High Steaks!!! We will be a returning soon.

Wait staff was distracted. Had to ask multiple times for share plates for appetizers and sides. Appetizers were very good. Prime rib had a large amount of inedible pieces, but I don't order it often. Maybe that is common. Dessert was comped by the server who apologized for the spotty service but it was not a good dining experience for the price. I've eaten here at least 6 times before. This was the first time it was less than stellar.

The prime rib was swimming in a overly salty Au jus which made it almost inedible. It was not tender, but too tough as if it had not been aged enough. The medium prime rib was the rare just grilled! Everything was overpriced for the quality of the meat. Salad and sides were big, but the corn fritter appetizers were tasteless, arrived tepid and were over priced. Our waiter Stephen was very attentive.

The food was absolutely delicious. Husband loved his scallops. My son said the prime rib was the best he’d ever had. We shared the s’mores which had a hard chocolate outer layer with melted fudge chocolate inside. Marshmallows on top and on the side which the waitress toasted to your desire. It was a wonderful experience. It is a little pricey but worth it.

I’ve been here a few times, although the service was at times quite good, at other times it was absent or rushed. The food was good but not great like it was on previous visits. The dining room was clean and nicely appointed as always, but the water feature at the front desk was either broken or disabled. I feel that for the prices being charged that it simply did not deliver to the degree I expected. Apparently you need a reservation to simply sit at the bar now, so even if you have reservations for dinner the bar is a no fly zone which I personally think is a horrible idea. We saw several people ask about it and get turned away while others (with the same request) were allowed to go to the bar. Odd. High Steaks can do a much better job than this in my opinion. Needless to say, I won’t be spending my money in this establishment again for quite some time. Hopefully they make some badly needed changes for the better to justify their prices.
