Came here for lunch. Our waiter was the owner who said they were short-staffed and kept apologizing for making us "wait". We didn't feel like there was a wait at all! He did an excellent job. When things slowed down we got to talk to him. Very cool guy. We discovered he's originally from the town next to ours back in Maryland! Food was excellent!
We came in for lunch on Friday at noon and it was very quiet. Few more tables were filled when we left. Our server was great! The hamburgers are huge and delicious. My salad was very fresh and tasty - yum.
My husband and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary and the coming birth of our first baby. We were treated very well, and even blessed with some treats at the end to commemorate the evening. We both had such a nice time laughing and enjoying ourselves, and both liked that we were not packed in liked sardines and got to really have the romantic evening we wanted. The food tasted wonderful, some of the best fries we've ever had!
Thank you so much for making it extra special!
We were especially pleased that the kitchen was flexible in accommodating our wish for a vegan entree.
The Hideaway Kitchen used to be a great place with wonderful food. It was lively and busy and the service was great. We were very disappointed to show up and find that it has turned into basically a hamburg joint. We showed up for a 7:00 dinner reservation and not one table was occupied. So obviously others have heard the news. We left without eating. What happened?
Wow! I can't say enough good stuff about this place. Went before a concert and what a heavenly surprise this place turned out to be. Awesome service!! Super menu, pulled pork tacos! Cheddar cheeseburger potato skins...everyone found something they really liked. Full bar with very accommodating service. Super atmosphere. Sit on the patio if you can!
This restaurant was picked since we had family in from out of town and we were in the Look Out Mountain area. The food was fine. The music is way too loud to try to have a conversation or for the waiter to converse. Music is very nice, and we were looking forward to hearing it, but we aren't deaf! There weren't many guests so no need for the volume.
Our waiter Joe was slow in getting to our table and bringing our bill. When looking for him to catch his attention, he was watching the Olympics!
I had wanted to try The Hideaway but doubt I will return.
We live nearby and come here often. The food is great. New things are introduced from time to time to keep things interesting. The cuisine is creative, but not crazy. Servers are friendly and efficient. Happy hour (until 6 every day) is great.
Have eaten at Hideaway twice and have enjoyed it both times. Portions a re well sized. Wait staff is easy, specials interesting, wine list small but concise with a number of interesting reds and whites and is well priced. Cocktails along with bourbons and ryes very nice. All in all will keep coming back.
Menu changes frequently, which is a good thing. This time around my wife and I were both surprised to be a little disappointed with our meals. It won't stop us from going back, but definitely not the standard we've come to know and love.
Great vibes and good people, can't beat that combo...
