This is a very fine restaurant. Our food was delicious. We were a little surprised at the fast pace. It seemed as though they wanted to move us out as quickly as possible.

Extensive wine and cocktail list is enhanced by expert recommendations. The food is of course gorgeous and beautifully crafted. With amazing presentation that provides a feast for the eyes. This has to be the best dining experience in Vancouver.

Our waiter was excellent in his service and explaining what was on the plate that we ordered. My husband had the steak and said it was so tender it just melted in your mouth! He said it was by far the best steak he had from all the other places we have been to (of the same caliber restaurant).

Nice decor and friendly service. Definitely will be returning for another special occasion celebration meal.

It was great for a nice night out. Skip the truffle fries. They shave some truffle on there but it doesn't give the fries much flavour. We love truffles but its not worth the big price tag for some fries. Overall the rest of the meal was good. Service was ok. Not as attentive as I would expect but not bad.

Some of the best food and worst service we’ve ever experienced. The waiter was surly and aloof - incredibly inattentive and extremely impersonal. Everyone around him was lovely - the sommelier, the bus persons, the people that helped deliver the meal, etc. As good as the food was, we would never go back... way, way, way too pretentious and impersonal.

The service was poor and the food was not what I’m used to expecting from Hawks. I was looking forward to my reservation but left feeling disappointed and frustrated. The sommeliers were however fabulous.

The service was excellent however the food was not. I was expecting a fabulous meal, however the lobster tail was similar to a crayfish tail (tiny) and undercooked. The ling cod had so many flavors (heavy on the citrus) it was inedible.

The flavour of the food, quality of Ingredients and overall atmosphere was great. I felt the presentation of the cottage pie and sweet bread could be improved. the look of the dish didn’t give that “wow” at first glance compares to the starter salad.

Dessert was nice

The seared fois gras is fabulous! The wait staff is very attentive. Octopus ap was fantastic. And the sable fish was sweet and succulent. Would go back here any time I’m in town!

Our trip to Vancouver would not have been complete without dinner at Hawksworth. Everything was outstanding, from the scallops to the chocolate soufflé it was one of the best meals my companion and I had ever tasted. A must if you’re in Vancouver. The Hotel Georgia is spectacular as well.

This by far superseded my exceptions. It’s hard to find a great restaurant with cutting edge food, hospital service (from Patrick) and comfortable seating. It’s completely make sense why they are growing and now serving business class air canada and soon will have a restaurant in YVR.

I treated to friends to a night on the twin for their weeding gift. They arrived at the restaurant and all the champagne must have just kicked as the wife was on fire. The staff handled her so well and were very professional and playful. It was the end of the night and we enjoyed and incredible meal and cocktails. Will be back soon.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. The food is fantastic, creative and well presented. The service is attentive, knowledgeable and professional. The ambiance is nice .. a bit noisy. Chairs can be upgraded though (not confy)...but a must for anybody who is looking for a great culinary experience.

My wife and myself had the winter journey menu. It is an eight course journey of local foods paired with wines. A sommelier brings each wine prior to each serving of food and explains where it is from and why it pairs with the upcoming course. After that a different chef delivers each course and explains what it is and how it was done. The presentation of the food was worth the price. It was fantastic. Our third course was Haida Gwaii red sea urchin paired with a single malt scotch. It was served on a piece of cedar bark with a plate forest moss with bowls of mushroom broth...… I can still picture it in my mind.
I highly recommend the Hawksworth. My wife and myself will go back soon.

Perhaps a place to go for a special occasion with friends but dining just the 2 of us we felt that it was a little stuffy and pretentious, making it feel difficult to relax. As for value for money it was very much on the expensive side for the food and wine that we received.

It was a special evening for friends visiting from another continent and Hawksworth and it's staff performed memorbably. The 4 of us ordered the entirety of the starters, desserts and half the mains, and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. When the staff realized we were there to try the enitrety of the menu they extended our reservation till closing. Our friends are world travellers who always fit in Michelin 3 stars in their travels to the US and Europe. They said that the Hawksworth experience was a true delight and the meal prepartion and presentation was on an equal footing. The server was prompt, attentive but not obtrusive. The sommelier knew his craft and properly paired our palates and our meals. My friends were a bit put off by the jeans and hoodies worn by some of the other guests. "That is smart casual in Vancouver", I said. "Heathens of fine dining", they said.

Quite over rated... shocked that $20 dollars were charged simply for hot water... food was alright. The starter hamachi was interesting with the mandarin oranges but the hamachi did not have much of the fresh hamachi taste (especially compared to the ones served at Japanese resturaunts). Foie gras/ berry starter was also unique but the berry overshadow the taste of foie gras.

Main was decent but was a bit shocked when the waiter asked/suggested adding black truffle to the lamb main... given the strong gamey taste, I’m a bit uncertain how much black truffle would be needed to taste the truffle on the lamb.
