Tucked away in a former brewery just off Seven Dials, Hawksmoor is the spot for seriously good steak, seafood, and cocktails right in the heart of Covent Garden. Whether you’re settling in for a long lunch, grabbing a bite before or after the theatre, or just fancy a perfectly chilled martini at the bar, it’s the kind of place that feels special without being stuffy.

The menu is all about top-quality British produce—grass-fed native-breed beef cooked over charcoal, sustainable seafood, and proper seasonal sides. And if you’re around on a Sunday, the roast is not to be missed: dry-aged beef, crispy beef-dripping roast potatoes, and ginormous Yorkshire puddings. I have to give a poor review due the extremely rude staff we had to deal with , she was obnoxious , rude and disgusting. We spent more than 700 pounds last night at the restaurant and this lady just was treating us so badly , we were most polite and just asked her to seat us at the bar where it was empty seats especially after we had dinner there and would have spent another few hundred pounds .. I even told her that we will never visit again. And she replies please don’t , Management needs to do something about this

Typical Chain steakhouse which means standards are corporate high. The restaurant is in a busy basement, especially busy as it was near Christmas. This meant noise levels were high and it was difficult to talk at times. However the waitress, Amanda was friendly and attentive, and my ribeye with mash was exceptional. I had the scallops yet again which are fantastic. Not cheap but overall was very pleased and would go again.
