Hawksmoor Seven Dials – Steak, Seafood & Cocktails in Covent Garden.

Tucked away in a former brewery just off Seven Dials, Hawksmoor is the spot for seriously good steak, seafood, and cocktails right in the heart of Covent Garden. Whether you’re settling in for a long lunch, grabbing a bite before or after the theatre, or just fancy a perfectly chilled martini at the bar, it’s the kind of place that feels special without being stuffy.

The menu is all about top-quality British produce—grass-fed native-breed beef cooked over charcoal, sustainable seafood, and proper seasonal sides. And if you’re around on a Sunday, the roast is not to be missed: dry-aged beef, crispy beef-dripping roast potatoes, and ginormous Yorkshire puddings. Basically, great food, good people, and a place you’ll want to come back to.

My mistake was turning up 2 hours early for our booking but the staff were accommodating as we sat at the bar while we waited. The price of the drinks were expensive so we only had one each but they also give you water while you sit. We did manage to get seated early and enjoyed the beautiful food. As said the food was beautiful and delicious and we will definitely like to come back again but because of the price it will only be as a birthday treat

Overall we enjoyed the visit, the greeting and cloakroom service was excellent. The table service was ok, passing plates across the table, 20 minutes for a drinks order, the glass of rose champagne was pretty flat. However the food was excellent and the bottle of wine we chose was delicious. So in all a good experience, but it did not leave us thinking must come back.

The 15th birthday menus was excellent value as was the food. The restaurant was quiet at lunchtime and I, initially, worried that it would lack ambience. It did not - we had a fabulous waiter with energy and enthusiasm and did not notice the empty tables at all. A problem in the kitchen meant our food was delayed twice and this was expertly handled meaning that our special occasion was not ruined but gifted to us. I will be back for an evening experience very soon. Outstanding service.

We visited Hawksmoor Seven Dials as a pre-theatre dinner. It’s a buzzing cellar restaurant, but don’t let the cellar bit put you off, it’s huge. You’re welcomed at the reception and shown to your table, there your table host takes over. Ours - Nathan, was fabulous, lovely character and knowledgeable about the menus As it’s famed for its steaks, that’s what we had, a Ribeye and a Filet. Cooked to perfection (med-rare) and great flavour. This was preceded by a scallop starter, also fabulous. This isn’t a low cost restaurant, but the quality and service are excellent.

Staff and good was fantastic. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The one onedownside is that we didn’t like the peppercorn sauce - want peppery enough for taste. We changed it fir the bone marrow sauce, which was delicious
