Tucked away in a former brewery just off Seven Dials, Hawksmoor is the spot for seriously good steak, seafood, and cocktails right in the heart of Covent Garden. Whether you’re settling in for a long lunch, grabbing a bite before or after the theatre, or just fancy a perfectly chilled martini at the bar, it’s the kind of place that feels special without being stuffy.

The menu is all about top-quality British produce—grass-fed native-breed beef cooked over charcoal, sustainable seafood, and proper seasonal sides. And if you’re around on a Sunday, the roast is not to be missed: dry-aged beef, crispy beef-dripping roast potatoes, and ginormous Yorkshire puddings. Although the food, service, and environment were good I thought the meal was rather expensive compared to other very similar establishments. Also, it did become rather noisy as the restaurant started to fill towards the end of our meal.

Excellent as usual - wide range of steaks, sides and drinks, cooked to perfection - with a friendly and attentive service. It's priced accordingly, but this is definitely the case of, you get what you pay for.

Had two courses of the express menu. Excellent value for a central London restaurant Steak was the best I’ve had in a long time at any price Nice relaxed atmosphere and great serving staff

Hostess put us at a terrible table next to an emergency exit, waitress station, and a fire hydrant knowing it was our wedding anniversary. Waitress and other staff made up for a bad start by moving us and being very attentive for the rest of the meal.

Underwhelming Sunday roast not to the usual standard with the beef quite fatty and hard roast potatoes. Service also not the usual warm and welcoming standard I received in the past.

Fantastic food but service was very slow and it was very loud - compared to other times I have visited. Would avoid sitting near the wall on the right hand side as you enter the restaurant.

Beautiful tasty steak, gorgeous negroni and a nice glass of Red. The staff were excellent too. Only minor negative is the scallops were overwhelmed by the garlic sauce. But overall a great culinary experience
