The restaurant ran out of majority of the food we ordered, which was salmon and red velvet pancakes. Also we were informed that the restaurant is closing and going out of business tomorrow. Today was their last day serving and were selling out of all the food.
Took 45-60 minutes before food for came out. No fun to wait that long for way breakfast food. All of the tables around us seemed bugged with the extended wait time. We had a reservation; told them name and open table reservation; they still tagged us a no-show on OT.
I loved the one in Vegas but this one had what seemed to be old, hard busquits, no rosemary stem in it? And my basic breakfast plates was great in Vegas, here totally sucked..bad taste and presentation
Huge portions and awesome food!
Went there to celebrate a friends bday for brunch. It was unseasonably hot that day and upon arrival I asked about the AC. The host said the AC was on but it couldn’t keep up with the doors that were up in front. I asked why don’t you shut the doors? No response. Well then put us in back. The heat was bad back there too
As we sat there I noticed everyone around us was fanning themselves from the heat and many including everyone at my table was sweating. We went up to the vents and there was almost nothing coming out of them. If they are having problems on a hot day with the AC they should shut down until it’s resolved like other reputable restaurants would do.
Great service. Huge portions!
Loud children with piercing screams, in the front and back. Had reservation but waited to sit, even when tables were available. Waiter only stopped by every 15 to 20 minutes. Took an hour to get food. Was with someone and my food came 8-10 minutes later. Saw that quite a few other tables also did not get their food together, some ate while others waited. It was hot and muggy inside, some of the staff were fanning themselves. A very unpleasant experience. Will not go back.
The food was amazing, but the service was pretty bad and the a/c was either off or way too low for such a hot day (90's). People were waiting to be seated, but there were many empty tables.
Great food and friendly service. We will be back!
Plates were too big. Wasteful.
We have to been to this location a number of times while visiting family in town. We were surprised with how long it took to get our food-45 minutes and this was after waiting approximately 10-15 minutes for our waiter. In the past the service has been very prompt and food quickly forthcoming. We visited on a Saturday around the same time we have been before. Will look at other options next visit.
My boyfriend and I were intrigued by the menu when visiting from out-of-town. Luckily we didn't have time constraints because the staff were quite overwhelmed mid-afternoon, and we had to wait almost an hour for our food. When it came out it was hot, but not blow-your-mind worth waiting an hour for. Couple other tables weren't able to and their drinks were comp'd so they could leave.
Great experience! Only negative is that it was so hot in the restaurant, all at our table were uncomfortable. They could use some air conditioning!
Wa there early on a weekday and received excellent service. Had the corned beef hash and it was delicious.
One of our favorite places usually, however, Sunday was extremely hot in the restaurant & service was slower than I remembered in the past. I'm assuming maybe it's because we usually go for breakfast & this time we went around 12:45.
Andres was a great waiter and we had a lovely time.
Book a table in advance especially on he weekends
With no AC on a 90 degree day, slow service, or of many menu options including biscuits which they are known for - I personally wouldn’t go back. Also it took 3 of us over 3 hours to dine as we didn’t get our food for over an hour and a half
Good food and great portions. Nothing blew us away in terms of food though. Nice out door patio though and good service.
This restaurant was horrible. The host was rude, the air wasn’t working and the service was terrible. Will never go back!!
We had a reservation & had to wait. The restaurant had to be over 90 degrees inside & the AC never cooled it down. It was sweltering the whole long meal. The silverware on the table was dirty. We waited over an hour for our food. When it came out, one of the dishes didn't have the correct ingredients, it was as if they had merged 2 different menu options. They were apologetic, but it was a miserable dining experience.
No air conditioning...period. It’s broken and they are not fixing it.
Huge portions of hearty Midwest food.
We were stuck in the basement because we made a reservation. Downstairs is like being in a basement of a bowling alley. It took our waitress 10 minutes to bring us silverware after she brought three out of the four meals. The other meal came 10 minutes later as well. It's a shame because normally it is a good place to go.
Super overpriced. My food wasn't very good at all. Everyone else seemed to like theirs better than I did. Plus, it was very warm in the restaurant.
We were looking for a good breakfast spot after leaving the Midway airport in Chicago. Thanks to Opentable, there were plenty of options. So I chose this restaurant because of the pictures and patron responses. I (we) was not disappointed, the food was amazing and it looked like the photos!!!
Do not pass go, go straight to this restaurant when you’re in Chicago. You will not be disappointed!
AMAZING! Had the chicken and waffles. Two can share it.
We were seated promptly, but food was slow being delivered. My wife did not receive her chicken when our food arrived. Props to the manager for comping her meal since it was delivered 10-12 minutes after the rest of ours. My pancake was so hard on one side it would not accept the butter and felt like a makeup pad. The BBLT my son has was served with under-cooked bacon. We ate at the Vegas location previously and loved it there. All in all really underwhelmed by the experience. Not worth the price or the parking. Expected better.
Music, Fun, and excellent food. There was something on the Menu for all. I definitely will return. Oh, was there dessert?
Great food -- but the air conditioning was broken on one of the hottest days of the year. Very loud -- so if you plan on conversation you'll have to shout.
Went to brunch with my family and the experience was amazing.
Love Hash house! Huge portions and yummy! My friend and I split a scramble and a pancake combo. The brown sugar banana pancake was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
We had Michael and we LOVED him. Great energy, awesome food, had a great time
Great food, honestly overly large portions. I love the idea of it but it’s so aggressive you over-eat in order to not waste food. Our order got lost so we waited a bit longer but that happens. The Bloody Mary was pretty disappointing. The food tasted great though.
The food was good however, the customer service was poor. They made my order wrong and then the guy came over to clean our table assumed I was finished with my food because one of my friends was finished so he took the extra dishes and piled them into my plate without asking me of I was finished! I may try this place again because the food was good!
Everything about this place is amazing! Service was great, food was out of this world...huge portions for the price. Great experience!
Good comfort food. Great breakfast. Large Portions
Whenever I've been to Hash House, I have enjoyed it.
Very few healthy options. It appears most of the menu items are fried.
Loved Hash House A Go Go. Huge portions and delicious food. Everything tasted extremely fresh. Would definitely recommend their famous flap-jacks. Mango coconut was my pick, and I'm sure glad it was. Something different but the flavors definitely worked together.
